Abstract
5'-Guanosine monophosphate (5'-GMP) is one main source of freshness in broths. Herein, an electrochemical platform based on a novel ternary nanocomposite glassy carbon electrode modified with advantageously-united gold nanoparticles, 2,2'-bipyridine hydrated ruthenium (Ru(bpy)2Cl2) and sulfonated multi-walled carbon nanotubes (SMWCNTs)was prepared and used to detect 5'-GMP. After conditions optimization, the best performance of the electrochemical sensor was found in acidic media, including high specificity, sensitivity and selectivity. The electrochemical sensor exhibited a wide linear range under the optimal conditions. The enhanced sensitivity of this sensor was attributed to the Ru(bpy)2Cl2 and functionalized SMWCNTs that provided high electrical conductivity and electrocatalytic properties during electrochemical reaction. Precise analysis of 5'-GMP in actual broth samples showed satisfactory recovery. Thus, the sensor can be used in the market and food enterprises.

Abstract
An electrochemical sensor based on electrochemically reduced graphene oxide (ErGO), carboxylated carbon nanotubes (cMWCNT), and gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) (GCE/ErGO-cMWCNT/AuNPs) was developed for the simultaneous detection of dihidroxybenzen isomers (DHB) hydroquinone (HQ), catechol (CC), and resorcinol (RS) using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The fabrication and optimization of the system were evaluated with Raman Spectroscopy, SEM, cyclic voltammetry, and DPV. Under optimized conditions, the GCE/ErGO-cMWCNT/AuNPs sensor exhibited a linear concentration range of 1.2–170 μM for HQ and CC, and 2.4–400 μM for RS with a detection limit of 0.39 μM, 0.54 μM, and 0.61 μM, respectively. When evaluated in tap water and skin-lightening cream, DHB multianalyte detection showed an average recovery rate of 107.11% and 102.56%, respectively. The performance was attributed to the synergistic effects of the 3D network formed by the strong π–π stacking interaction between ErGO and cMWCNT, combined with the active catalytic sites of AuNPs. Additionally, the cMWCNT provided improved electrocatalytic properties associated with the carboxyl groups that facilitate the adsorption of the DHB and the greater amount of active edge planes. The proposed GCE/ErGO-cMWCNT/AuNPs sensor showed a great potential for the simultaneous, precise, and easy-to-handle detection of DHB in complex samples with high sensitivity.

Abstract
Endocrine disruptors (EDCs) are substances existing in the environment which affect animal and human endocrine functions and cause diseases. A small quantity of EDCs can have a serious impact on the body. Currently, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and other traditional methods are used to detect EDCs. Although their sensitivity and reliability are good, these methods are complex, expensive, and not feasible to use in the field. Electrochemical techniques present good potential for the detection of EDCs owing to their low cost, simple, and wearable instrumentation. This paper presents the new trends in this field over the last 3 years. Some simple materials can allow some EDCs to be directly detected. New designs of biosensors, such as aptasensors, allow a femtomolar limit of detection to be reached. Many types of nanomaterial-based sensors were tested; carbonaceous nanomaterials, such as multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and reduced graphene oxide (rGO), associated or not with other types of nanoparticles were included in numerous designs. Molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP)-based sensors constitute an emerging field. All the presented electrochemical sensors were successfully tested for the detection of EDCs in different types of real samples.

Abstract
An electroanalytical method for determining dienestrol (DNL) in bovine urine samples is described. A glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with silver nanoparticles and functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes was used as working sensor. The modified GCE displays substantial analytical improvements including an amplified signal, fast electron transfer kinetics, and resistance to fouling. The irreversible oxidation signal of DNL is pH-dependent. Best reactivity is found at pH 3.0, where a typical anodic peak is recorded at 0.8 V (vs. Ag/AgCl). Square-wave voltammetry revealed a 8.4 nM detection limit (1.9 μg L-1), good repeatability and reproducibility (RSDs <5.0%), and good accuracy (93.2-99.4% recovery from spiked samples). The modified electrode is highly stable even in the presence of ions (Na+ and K+), urea and uric acid. The electrochemical sensor fulfills all requisites to be used as forensic device in surveillance of illegal livestock practices. Graphical abstract Schematic presentation of the construction of a glassy carbon electrode modified with silver nanoparticles and functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes. This sensor exhibited a remarkable performance for voltammetric detection of the illicit growth promoter dienestrol in animal urine.

Abstract
A glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was modified with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) and silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and applied to the simultaneous determination of hydroquinone (HQ), catechol (CC), bisphenol A (BPA) and phenol by using square-wave voltammetry. The MWCNTs were deposited on the GCE and the AgNPs were then electrodeposited onto the MWCNT/GCE by the application of 10 potential sweep cycles using an AgNP colloidal suspension. The modified GCE was characterized by using SEM, which confirmed the presence of the AgNPs. The electrochemical behavior of the material was evaluated by using cyclic voltammetry, and by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy that employed hexacyanoferrate as an electrochemical probe. The results were compared to the performance of the unmodified GCE. The modified electrode has a lower charge-transfer resistance and yields an increased signal. The peaks for HQ (0.30 V), CC (0.40 V), BPA (0.74 V) and phenol (0.83 V; all versus Ag/AgCl) are well separated under optimized conditions, which facilitates their simultaneous determination. The oxidation current increases linearly with the concentrations of HQ, CC, BPA and phenol. Detection limits are in the order of 1 μM for all 4 species, and the sensor is highly stable and reproducible. The electrode was successfully employed with the simultaneous determination of HQ, CC, BPA and phenol in spiked tap water samples. Graphical abstract A glassy carbon electrode was modified with carbon nanotubes and silver nanoparticles and then successfully applied to the simultaneous determination of four phenolic compounds. The sensor showed high sensitivity in the detection of hydroquinone, catechol, bisphenol A and phenol in water samples.

Abstract
Bisphenols (BPs) are well known endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) that cause adverse effects on the environment, biotic life and human health. BPs have been studied extensively because of an increasing concern for the safety of the environment and for human health. They are major raw materials for manufacturing polycarbonates, thermal papers and epoxy resins and are considered hazardous environmental contaminants. A vast array of sensors and biosensors have been developed for the sensitive screening of BPs based on carbon nanomaterials (carbon nanotubes, fullerenes, graphene and graphene oxide), quantum dots, metal and metal oxide nanocomposites, polymer nanocomposites, metal organic frameworks, ionic liquids and molecularly imprinted polymers. This review is devoted mainly to a variety of sensitive, selective and reliable sensing and biosensing methods for the detection of BPs using electrochemistry, fluorescence, colorimetry, surface plasmon resonance, luminescence, ELISAs, circular dichroism, resonance Rayleigh scattering and adsorption techniques in plastic products, food samples, food packaging, industrial wastes, pharmaceutical products, human body fluids and many other matrices. It summarizes the advances in sensing and biosensing methods for the detection of BPs since 2010. Furthermore, the article discusses challenges and future perspectives in the development of novel sensing methods for the detection of BP analogs.

Abstract
Herein, an ultrasensitive electrochemical aptasensor for quantitative detection of bisphenol A (BPA) was fabricated based on a novel signal amplification strategy. This aptasensor was developed by electrodeposition of gold-platinum nanoparticles (Au-PtNPs) on glassy carbon (GC) electrode modified with acid-oxidized carbon nanotubes (CNTs-COOH). In this protocol, acriflavine (ACF) was covalently immobilized at the surface of glassy carbon electrode modified with Au-PtNPs/CNTs-COOH nanocomposite. Attachment of BPA-aptamer at the surface of modified electrode was performed through the formation of phosphoramidate bonds between the amino group of ACF and phosphate group of the aptamer at 5'end. By interaction of BPA with the aptamer, the conformational of aptamer was changed which lead to retarding the interfacial electron transfer of ACF as a probe. Sensitive quantitative detection of BPA was carried out by monitoring the decrease of differential pulse voltammetric (DPV) responses of ACF peak current with increasing the BPA concentration. The resultant aptasensor exhibited good specificity, stability and reproducibility, indicating that the present strategy was promising for broad potential application.
