Abstract
Gestational trophoblastic diseases (GTDs) encompass a spectrum of conditions characterized by abnormal trophoblastic cell growth, ranging from benign molar pregnancies to malignant trophoblastic neoplasms. This systematic review explores the molecular underpinnings of GTDs, focusing on genetic and epigenetic factors that influence disease progression and clinical outcomes. Based on 71 studies identified through systematic search and selection criteria, key findings include dysregulations in tumor suppressor genes such as p53, aberrant apoptotic pathways involving BCL-2 (B-cell lymphoma), and altered expression of growth factor receptors and microRNAs (micro-ribose nucleic acid). These molecular alterations not only differentiate molar pregnancies from normal placental development but also contribute to their clinical behavior, from benign moles to potentially malignant forms. The review synthesizes insights from immunohistochemical studies and molecular analyses to provide a comprehensive understanding of GTD pathogenesis and implications for personalized care strategies.

Abstract
A hydatidiform mole (HM) or molar pregnancy is the most common benign form of gestational trophoblastic disease characterized by a proliferation of the trophoblastic epithelium and villous edema. Hydatidiform moles are classified into two forms: complete and partial hydatidiform moles. These two types of HM present morphologic, histopathologic and cytogenetic differences. Usually, hydatidiform moles are a unique event, but some women present a recurrent form of complete hydatidiform moles that can be sporadic or familial. The appearance of hydatidiform moles is correlated with some genetic events (like uniparental disomy, triploidy or diandry) specific to meiosis and is the first step of embryo development. The familial forms are determined by variants in some genes, with NLRP7 and KHDC3L being the most important ones. The identification of different types of hydatidiform moles and their subsequent mechanisms is important to calculate the recurrence risk and estimate the method of progression to a malign form. This review synthesizes the heterogeneous mechanisms and their implications in genetic counseling.

Abstract
PURPOSE OF REVIEW This review introduces the recognized body of evidence on social determinants of health, which continue to show that a person's health is determined by their broader environmental and social context and that societal inequities harm health and healthcare outcomes. An area of inequity is race, which, although a social construct, has a significant impact on a person's morbidity and mortality as well as their access and experience of healthcare. Racial disparities in maternal and perinatal outcomes are widely recognized. Therefore, this review focuses on the less commonly addressed early pregnancy setting. RECENT FINDINGS Health inequities are present in the early pregnancy setting, as racial disparities exist in early pregnancy presentations and outcomes. Black women have a higher incidence of miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy and poorer survival rates from gestational trophoblastic neoplasms. Asian women have a statistically significantly higher incidence of gestational trophoblastic disease. SUMMARY The findings support the need for more consistent and detailed research on the impact of race on early pregnancy outcomes and increasing ethnic diversity among study populations for trials to ensure meaningful and applicable data. Raising awareness of this racial health inequity in early pregnancy is the first step clinicians can take to tackle this issue.

Abstract
Autophagy is implicated in normal pregnancy and various pathologic pregnancy conditions. Its presence in hydatidiform moles (HM) is unknown. We immunohistochemically studied 36 HM for LC3B and p62 to precisely determine their expression in the decidua, endometrium, and villi. Nineteen nonmolar pregnancies were also studied. LC3B was found in almost half of the villi and p62 was found in almost all villi. LC3B expression was significantly higher in complete HM than in partial HM. LC3B showed different expression patterns in trophoblast layers. LC3B and p62 expression was higher in molar than nonmolar pregnancies. Autophagic markers are present in HM and their expression differs between complete and partial moles.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Coronavirus illness (COVID-19) has been found to alter infected people's sense of smell and taste. However, the pathobiology of this virus is not yet known. Therefore, it is critical to investigate the influence of COVID-19 infection on olfactory and gustatory processes. Therefore, we use bibliometric analysis on COVID-19 and olfactory and/or gustatory dysfunction publications to provide studies perspective. METHODS A bibliometric literature search was performed in the Scopus database. The number and type of publications, countries for publications, institutional sources for publications, journals for publications, citation patterns, and funding agencies were analyzed using Microsoft Excel or VOSviewer. In addition, the VOSviewer 1.6.17 software was used to analyze and visualize hotspots and collaboration patterns between countries. RESULTS Scopus has published 187 088 documents for COVID-19 in all study fields at the time of data collection (July 26, 2021). A total of 1740 documents related to olfactory and/or gustatory dysfunction were recovered. The countries most relevant by the number of publications were the United States (n = 362, 20.80%), Italy (n = 255, 14.66%), and the United Kingdom (n = 173, 9.94%). By analyzing the terms in the titles and abstracts, we identified 2 clusters related to olfactory and/or gustatory dysfunction research, which are "diagnosis and test methods" and "prognosis and complications of the disease." CONCLUSIONS This is the first bibliometric analysis of publications related to COVID-19 and olfactory and/or gustatory dysfunction. This study provides academics and researchers with useful information on the publishing patterns of the most influential publications on COVID-19 and olfactory and/or gustatory dysfunction. Olfactory and/or gustatory dysfunction as indices of suspicion for the empirical diagnosis of coronavirus infection is a new hotspot in this field.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Hydatidiform moles are the most common type of gestational trophoblastic disease. Internationally the incidence of hydatidiform moles is 1-2:1000 pregnancies. Early detection of women with hydatidiform moles is preferential, as these women are at a higher risk of developing other gestational trophoblastic disease. Despite Ultrasound being the most common modality used to diagnose hydatidiform moles, its diagnostic value and accuracy throughout all trimesters remains uncertain. Thus, the aim of this review was to explore and evaluate the diagnostic value and accuracy of Ultrasound in diagnosing hydatidiform mole throughout all trimesters of pregnancy. METHODS The databases MEDLINE and CINAHL were searched between 2004 and 2021. Included studies were quality assessed using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool. RESULTS A total of 8 studies were included. The narrative synthesis identified four themes: Misdiagnosis, Complete and Partial molar pregnancy, Operator dependency and Gestational age. The meta-analysis highlighted although the sensitivity of ultrasound for diagnosing hydatidiform moles is relatively low at 52.2%, the specificity was high at 92.6%. CONCLUSION While histological examination remains the gold standard for detecting hydatidiform moles, our review made evident that ultrasound is a beneficial diagnostic tool in the detection of Hydatidiform moles, especially alongside other diagnostic investigations. This review has highlighted and collated the main barriers and facilitators to diagnosing hydatidiform moles using ultrasound. IMPLICATION FOR PRACTICE Findings suggest that although sonographic detection of hydatidiform moles remains a diagnostic challenge, seeking a second opinion or repeating scans before making a final diagnosis should be embedded into clinical practice.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND AIMS There has been an increased understanding in the pathophysiology and management of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in recent years. This study aimed to evaluate the trends and characteristics of PCOS publications in Southeast Asia (SEA) through a bibliometric analysis. METHODS Systematic review of literature on PCOS in SEA countries between 1975 and 2020 was performed using the Scopus database. All published studies on PCOS conducted in or published by authors from any of the countries in SEA were included in this analysis. Bibliographic information was obtained, and visualization of collaboration networks of countries and keywords was conducted using VOSviewer software. RESULTS A total of 260 articles were included in this analysis. The number of PCOS publications in SEA continued to increase through the years. The country with the highest number of publications was Thailand while Singapore produced the most publications with the greatest impact. The focus of research in SEA was on PCOS prevalence, risk factors, infertility, and metabolic complications. A country's fertility rate, research and development expenditures (%GDP), number of researchers per million people, and international research collaborations significantly correlated with PCOS research impact in SEA. CONCLUSION This is the first bibliometric analysis in PCOS research in SEA. Despite the continuing increase in PCOS publications in SEA, it still lags compared to other regions. Countries in SEA should consider policies and strategies directed at increasing research support and encouraging international collaborations for local researchers to produce more meaningful publications and augment PCOS knowledge in the region.

Abstract
PURPOSE The cervix undergoes a dynamic remodeling process throughout pregnancy. Appropriate timing of cervical remodeling is essential in maintaining the fetus inside the uterus and ensuring cervical dilatation for safe delivery of the fetus at term. This study aims to determine the characteristics and trends of published articles in the field of cervical remodeling during pregnancy through a bibliometric analysis. MATERIALS AND METHODS A systematic review of the literature on cervical remodeling during pregnancy was performed on using the Scopus database from inception to 2020. The following information was obtained for each article: authors, year of publication, title, journal, institution, country, title, keywords, citation frequency, and relative citation ratio. The visualization of collaboration networks of countries and keywords related to cervical remodeling during pregnancy was conducted using VOSviewer software. RESULTS A total of 1979 bibliographic records were obtained from Scopus database. The number of publications increased in the 1980s and peaked in 2010. A total of 80 countries produced research in cervical remodeling during pregnancy. The USA contributed the greatest number of publications (n= 541), total citations (n= 11,971), and number of international collaborations (n= 28 countries). The American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and BJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology are the top three contributors in this field in terms of number of publications and total citations. The Karolinska Institutet produced the greatest number of publications while UT Southwestern Medical Center was the most cited institution in this field. The topics of the top cited articles were studies regarding the role of collagen degradation in cervical remodeling during pregnancy; dynamics, anatomy, and physiology of cervical remodeling; and the use of misoprostol for cervical ripening and labor induction. CONCLUSIONS Our bibliometric analysis shows the trends and development, scientific impact, and collaboration in the field of cervical remodeling research. These results show the important discoveries in the past and provided new avenues for scientific and clinical investigations in the field.
