Abstract
This review highlights the most recent applications of Cd(II)-carboxylate-based coordination polymers (Cd(II)-CBCPs), such as sensors, catalysts, and storage materials, in comparison with those of Zn(II) counterparts. A wide range of species with luminescence properties were designed by using proper organic fluorophores, especially a carboxylate bridging ligand combined with an ancillary N-donor species, both with a rigid structure. These characteristics, combined with the arrangement in Cd(II)-CBCPs' structure and the intermolecular interaction, enable the sensing behavior of a plethora of various inorganic and organic pollutants. In addition, the Lewis acid behavior of Cd(II) was investigated either in developing valuable heterogeneous catalysts in acetalization, cyanosilylation, Henry or Strecker reactions, Knoevenagel condensation, or dyes or drug elimination from wastewater through photocatalysis. Furthermore, the pores structure of such derivatives induced the ability of some species to store gases or toxic dyes. Applications such as in herbicides, antibacterials, and electronic devices are also described together with their ability to generate nano-CdO species.

Abstract
We successfully synthesized two new supramolecular frameworks, namely {[Cu2(L1)(H2O)2]·(H2O)}n (1) and {[Ag(L2)(bpp)]2n·2(H2O)}n (2) (H2L1 = 2-hydroxy-5-sulfobenzoic acid, HL2 = 8-hydroxyquinoline-2-sulfonic acid) under hydrothermal condition. These single-crystal structures were determined via X-ray single crystal diffraction analyses. Solids 1 and 2 acted as photocatalysts and performed good photocatalytic activities for MB degradation under UV light irradiation.

Abstract
This review considers the applications of Zn(II) carboxylate-based coordination polymers (Zn-CBCPs), such as sensors, catalysts, species with potential in infections and cancers treatment, as well as storage and drug-carrier materials. The nature of organic luminophores, especially both the rigid carboxylate and the ancillary N-donor bridging ligand, together with the alignment in Zn-CBCPs and their intermolecular interaction modulate the luminescence properties and allow the sensing of a variety of inorganic and organic pollutants. The ability of Zn(II) to act as a good Lewis acid allowed the involvement of Zn-CBCPs either in dye elimination from wastewater through photocatalysis or in pathogenic microorganism or tumor inhibition. In addition, the pores developed inside of the network provided the possibility for some species to store gaseous or liquid molecules, as well as to deliver some drugs for improved treatment.

Abstract
Heavy metal contamination has sparked widespread concern among the populace. The significant issues necessitate the creation of high-performance fluorescent pigments that can identify harmful elements in water. The present study deals with metal organic framework [MOF] based on nickel [Ni-BDC MOF]. The Ni-BDC MOF was prepared by facile solvothermal method using nickel nitrate hexahydrate and terephthalic acid ligand as precursors. The MOF was characterized by various techniques in order to examine the crystal, morphological, structural, composition, thermal and optical properties. The detailed characterizations revealed that the synthesized Ni-BDC MOF are well-crystalline with high purity and possessing 3D rhombohedral microcrystals with rough surface. The MOF demonstrate good luminescence performance and excellent water stability. According to the Stern Volmer plot, the tests set up under optimized conditions demonstrate a linear correlation between the fluorescence intensity and concentration of both ions, i.e. Fe3+, and Cr2O72- ions. The linear range and detection limit for Fe3+ and Cr2O72- were found to be 0-1.4 nM and 0.159 nM, and 0-1 nM and 0.120 nM, respectively. The mechanisms for the selective detection of cations and anions were also explored. The recyclability for the prepared MOF was checked up to five cycles which showed excellent stability with just a slight reduction in efficiency. The constructed sensor was also used to assess the presence of Fe3+ and Cr2O72- ions in actual water samples. The results of the different experiments revealed that the prepared MOF is a good material for detecting Fe3+ and Cr2O72- ions.

Abstract
Two new coordination polymers, [Cu₂(5-MeO-Hip)₄(py)₄]n (1) and [Co(5-EtO-ip)(4,4'-bipy)]n·n(MeOH) (2) (5-MeO-H₂ip is 5-methoxyisophthalic acid, 5-EtO-H₂ip is 5-ethoxyisophthalic acid, py is pyridine, and 4,4'-bipy is 4,4'-bipyridine), were created via solvothermal self-assembly. The thermal steadiness and photocatalytic functions of 1 and 2 were detected, and their application values in gastric cancer and the related mechanism were discussed. CCK-8 assay was used to determine the inhibitory activity toward gastric cancer cells' viability, and real-time RT-PCR was employed to examine the gastric cancer cells' Notch signaling pathway activity.

Abstract
The manuscript described the synthesis and characterization of the new [Cd(BDMPT)2](ClO4)2; 1 and [Cd2(MBPT)2(H2O)2Cl](ClO4)3.4H2O ; 2s-triazine pincer-type complexes, where BDMPT and MBPT are 2,4-bis(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-6-methoxy-1,3,5-triazine and 2-methoxy-4,6-bis(2-(pyridin-2-ylmsethylene)hydrazinyl)-1,3,5-triazinerespectively.The synthesized complexes were characterized using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, and the single-crystal X-ray diffraction technique. The homoleptic mononuclear complex (1)contains a hexa-coordinated Cd(II) center with two tridentate N-pincer ligand (BDMPT) with a highly distorted octahedral coordination environment located as an intermediate case between the octahedron and trigonal prism. The heteroleptic dinuclear complex (2) contains two hepta-coordinated Cd(II) coordination spheres where each Cd(II) is coordinated with one pentadentate pincer N-chelate (MBPT), one water, and one bridged chloride ligand connecting the two metal ions. The different intermolecular interactions in the studied complexes were quantified using Hirshfeld analysis. Their thermal stabilities and FTIR spectra were compared with the corresponding free ligands. The strength and nature of Cd–N, Cd–O, and Cd–Cl coordination interactions were discussed in light of atoms in molecules calculations (AIM). The M(II)–BDMPT and M(II)–MBPT interaction energies revealed that such sterically hindered ligands have higher affinity toward large-size metal ions (M =Cd) compared to smaller ones (M= Ni or Mn).
