Abstract
Conductive polymer nanocomposites for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding are important materials that can be combat the increasingly dangerous radiation pollution arising from electronic equipment and our surrounding environment. In this work, we have synthesized polyaniline-copper nanoparticles (PANI-Cu NPs) by the copper salt based oxidative polymerization method at room temperature and then added with different concentration (0, 1, 3 and 5 wt%) in polystyrene polymer forming PS/ PANI-Cu nanocomposites films by means of the traditional solution casting technique. The formed PANI-Cu NPs were investigated by UV/Vis spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and SEM/EDX elemental mapping techniques. On the other hand, the prepared PS/PANI-Cu nanocomposites films were evaluated by UV and SEM, the mechanical properties of the nanocomposites films were evaluated and showed an improvement by added PANI-Cu NPs up to 3 wt% and 50 kGy gamma exposure dose. The PS/PANI-Cu nanocomposites films were examined as electromagnetic interference shielding material. Electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of the produced nanocomposites were tested in the X-band of the radio frequency range namely from 8 to 12 GHz using the vector network analyzer (VNA) and a proper wave guide. All samples were studied before and after 50 kGy gamma-ray irradiation under the same condition of pressure and temperature. The results showed that the nanocomposites have improved shielding properties.

Abstract
This research outlines the fabrication of polymeric membranes and films of poly(lactic acid) (PLA), prepared via electrospinning and extrusion, respectively. These materials were subsequently coated with polyaniline (PANi) by using the in situ chemical polymerization technique. Scanning electron microscopy micrographs revealed that the best coatings were achieved when 3 and 30 min of contact time with the monomeric solution were used for the membrane and film, respectively. Additionally, Fourier transform infrared spectra, thermogravimetric studies, and contact angle measurements demonstrated proper interaction between PLA and PANi. The findings of these studies suggest that PLA membranes and films can serve as suitable substrates for the deposition of PANi, and the composite materials hold potential for use in environmental remediation applications.

Evolution of the Surface Structure and Functional Properties of the Electroconducting Polymer Coatings onto Porous Films. COATINGS 2022. Abstract
Composite systems containing electroconducting polymer coatings (polyaniline and polypyrrole) applied to porous films of semicrystalline polymers (polyethylene, polypropylene, and polyvinylidene fluoride) have been prepared. Porous supports were obtained in the process based on polymer melt extrusion with subsequent annealing, uniaxial extensions, and thermal stabilization. Conducting coatings were formed by the oxidative polymerization of the monomers directly onto the porous supports. The structure (overall porosity, permeability, pore sizes, factor of orientation) and morphology (specific surface and character of the film surface) of the supports were characterized by sorptometry, filtration porosimetry, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and X-ray scattering techniques. It was observed that the porous supports have a strongly developed relief surface which is formed in the pore formation process. It was proven by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) that the porous supports have an oriented structure, and the surface of the composites is defined by the morphology inherent in the conducting component. It was shown that these composites (porous support/conducting coating) demonstrate electric conductivity both along the surface and between surfaces. It was demonstrated that the deposition of conducting coatings leads to an increase in the water wettability of the composites compared with pronounced hydrophobic supports. The composites are characterized by good adhesion between components due to a relief film surface as well as high mechanical strength and elasticity provided by the oriented character of the supports.

Abstract
Nowadays, we are assisting in the exceptional growth in research relating to the development of wearable devices for sweat analysis. Sweat is a biofluid that contains useful health information and allows a non-invasive, continuous and comfortable collection. For this reason, it is an excellent biofluid for the detection of different analytes. In this work, electrochemical sensors based on polyaniline thin films deposited on the flexible substrate polyethylene terephthalate coated with indium tin oxide were studied. Polyaniline thin films were abstained by the potentiostatic deposition technique, applying a potential of +2 V vs. SCE for 90 s. To improve the sensor performance, the electronic substrate was modified with reduced graphene oxide, obtained at a constant potential of −0.8 V vs. SCE for 200 s, and then polyaniline thin films were electrodeposited on top of the as-deposited substrate. All samples were characterized by XRD, SEM, EDS, static contact angle and FT-IR/ATR analysis to correlate the physical-chemical features with the performance of the sensors. The obtained electrodes were tested as pH sensors in the range from 2 to 8, showing good behavior, with a sensitivity of 62.3 mV/pH, very close to a Nernstian response, and a reproducibility of 3.8%. Interference tests, in the presence of competing ions, aimed to verify the selectivity, were also performed. Finally, a real sweat sample was collected, and the sweat pH was quantified with both the proposed sensor and a commercial pH meter, showing an excellent concordance.

Abstract
Research on stretchable energy-storage devices has been motivated by elastic electronics, and considerable research efforts have been devoted to the development of stretchable electrodes. However, stretchable electrolytes, another critical component in stretchable devices, have earned quite little attention, especially the alkali-resistant ones. Here, we reported a novel stretchable alkali-resistant electrolyte made of a polyolefin elastomer porous membrane supported potassium hydroxide-potassium polyacrylate (POE@KOH-PAAK). The as-prepared electrolyte shows a negligible plastic deformation even after 1000 stretching cycles at a strain of 150% as well as a high conductivity of 0.14 S cm-1. It also exhibits excellent alkali resistance, which shows no obvious degradation of the mechanical performance after immersion in 2 M KOH for up to 2 weeks. To demonstrate its good properties, a high-performance stretchable supercapacitor is assembled using a carbon-nanotube-film-supported NiCo2O4 (CNT@NiCo2O4) as the cathode and Fe2O3 (CNT@Fe2O3) as the anode, proving great application promise of the stretchable alkali-resistant electrolyte in stretchable energy-storage devices.
