Abstract
In this paper, we explore the self-cleaning and washing durability of green-prepared ZnO NPs combined with cotton fabrics. Honeysuckle extract was used to prepare ZnO NPs with an average particle size of 15.3 nm. Cotton fabrics were then treated with oxalic acid (OA), tartaric acid (TA), and succinic acid (SA) as cross-linking agents, sodium hypophosphite as a catalyst, and after that, the ZnO NPs were applied to the cross-linked cotton fabrics by the padding to prepare the self-cleaning cotton fabrics. The morphology and structure of the fabric samples were characterized using FTIR, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and XRD. The optical properties of the cotton fabric samples were discussed by UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectrum, and the self-cleaning performance, wrinkle recovery angle and ultraviolet protection performance of the cotton fabric samples were analyzed. The results showed that the carboxyl groups of TA, OA, and SA were esterified with hydroxyl groups of the cotton fiber and formed a film on the surface of the cotton fabrics. ZnO NPs were successfully loaded onto the cotton fabrics by strong electrostatic interaction, causing the improvement of the washing resistance of the cross-linked fabrics. In addition, compared with uncross-linked fabrics, the wrinkle recovery performance of the cross-linked fabrics had also been greatly improved, and the UV protection factor reached 50+, thus obtaining an excellent self-cleaning, multifunctional cotton-based textile with anti-wrinkle and anti-ultraviolet properties.

Adsorption-photocatalytic processes for removal of pentachlorophenol contaminant using FeNi 3/SiO 2/ZnO magnetic nanocomposite under simulated solar light irradiation. Abstract
The adsorption followed by photocatalytic degradation process was examined for the pentachlorophenol (PCP) removal from aqueous solution. These processes were accomplished by using FeNi3/SiO2/ZnO magnetic nanocomposite as an adsorbent-photocatalytic agent and under the irradiation of solar light. The magnetic nanocomposite used was first synthesized and then was characterized using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), vibrating-sample magnetometer (VSM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectroscopy. The PCP removal efficiency was tested for various factors, including pH, PCP concentration, and nanocomposite dose at different contact times. The characterization results of TEM, FE-SEM, and VSM analysis showed that the synthesized nanoparticles are amorphous and tend to agglomerate due to their high super-paramagnetic property. In addition, the EDX technique showed that the Zn and O elements had the highest weight percent in the synthesized nanocomposite, respectively. On the other hand, XRD analysis revealed that the crystalline size of the nanoparticles was about 42 nm. The kinetic of PCP degradation followed the pseudo-first-order model with R2 = 0.978. According to the results of the isotherm study, the adsorption of PCP onto the nanoparticles followed the Freundlich model. The results of adsorption-photocatalytic degradation experiments showed that 100% removal of PCP was obtained at optimum conditions of pH = 3, nanocomposite dose = 0.5 g/L, contact time = 180 min, and initial PCP concentration of 10 mg/L. Through the results obtained from this study, the adsorption process followed by solar light photocatalytic degradation process using FeNi3/SiO2/ZnO magnetic nanocomposite is found to be an efficacious treatment method for the removal of PCP contaminant from water and wastewater.

Abstract
Ultrasound-assisted approaches, as an important trend in material synthesis, have emerged for designing and creating nano-/micro-structures. This review simply presents the basic principles of ultrasound irradiation including acoustic cavitation, sonochemical effects, physical and/or mechanical effects, and on the basis of the latest progress, it newly summarizes sonochemical catalysis for the fabrication of nano-structured or micro-structured inorganic materials such as metals, alloys, metal compounds, non-metal materials, and inorganic composites, where the theories or mechanisms of catalytic synthetic routes, and the morphologies, structures, sizes, properties and applications of products are described in detail. In the review, a few technological potentials and probable challenges of sonochemical catalysis are also highlighted for the future advance of synthesis methods. Therefore, sonochemical catalysis or ultrasound-assisted synthesis will serve as a unique strategy to reveal its great significance in material fabrication.

Abstract
Our study was focused on the synthesis of photocatalytic materials for the degradation of organic dyes based on the valorization of biomass resources. The biochar resulted from pyrolysis process of cherry pits wastes was activated by CO2 flow. Activated and inactivated carbon was used to obtain carbon-based photocatalysts impregnated with different zinc salt precursors. The activation of carbon had no significant influence on the photodegradation process. The doping procedure used Li2CO3 and Zn(CH3COO)2 of different concentrations to impregnate the biochar. The carbon-ZnO-Li2O based nanomaterials were analysed by TEM and SEM, while the presence of hexagonal wurtzite ZnO was investigated by XRD. The solid samples were analysed by PL at 360 nm excitation fixed wavelength to correlate their morphology with the optical and photocatalytic properties. The presence of Li atoms led to photocatalytic activities of the doped ZnO similar to the undoped ZnO obtained at higher concentrations of zinc acetate precursor.

Abstract
TiO2 nanomaterial is promising with its high potential and outstanding performance in photocatalytic environmental applications, such as CO2 conversion, water treatment, and air quality control. For many of these applications, the particle size, crystal structure and phase, porosity, and surface area influence the activity of TiO2 dramatically. TiO2 nanomaterials with special structures and morphologies, such as nanospheres, nanowires, nanotubes, nanorods, and nanoflowers are thus synthesized due to their desired characteristics. With an emphasis on the different morphologies of TiO2 and the influence factors in the synthesis, this review summarizes fourteen TiO2 preparation methods, such as the sol-gel method, solvothermal method, and reverse micelle method. The TiO2 formation mechanisms, the advantages and disadvantages of the preparation methods, and the photocatalytic environmental application examples are proposed as well.
