Abstract
Background: In everyday dentistry, monolithic single crowns can be cemented with self-adhesive resin cements. The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate how the marginal adaptation of full monolithic zirconia-reinforced lithium silicate (ZLS) single crowns is influenced by three different self-adhesive resin cements. Methods: Forty-five typodont teeth fully prepared for full monolithic crowns were divided into three groups (fifteen each) for the use of three different self-adhesive resin cements. A fourth control group (Temp-bond) was created by taking five teeth from each group before cementation with self-adhesive resin cements. All forty-five abutments were scanned using a Primescan intra-oral scanner (IOS), followed by computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) of zirconia-reinforced lithium silicate (ZLS) full crowns using a four-axis machine. Initially, the crowns of the control group were fixed to the abutments using Temp-bond, and the marginal gap was evaluated using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). After removing the control group crowns from the abutments, fifteen crowns in each group were cemented using a different self-adhesive resin cement and observed under SEM for evaluation of the marginal gap. A Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was performed, indicating no normal distribution (p < 0.05), followed by Mann-Whitney tests (α = 0.05). Results: The total mean marginal gap of the temp-bond control group was significantly lower compared to all three groups of self-adhesive resin cement (p < 0.0005). The total mean marginal gap of the G-cem ONE group was significantly lower compared to the TheraCem group (p < 0.026) and RelyX U200 group (p < 0.008). The total mean marginal gap of the TheraCem group was significantly higher than the G-cem ONE group (p < 0.026) but showed no significant difference with the RelyX U200 group (p > 0.110). Conclusions: All four groups showed a clinically acceptable marginal gap (<120 microns). Although all three groups of self-adhesive resin cement showed a significant increase in the marginal gap compared to the temp-bond control group, they were within the limits of clinical acceptability. Regarding the marginal gap, in everyday dentistry, it is acceptable to use all three self-adhesive resin cements, although the G-cem ONE group exhibited the lowest marginal gap for ZLS single crowns.

Abstract
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM The influence of computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) parameters and settings on the outcomes of milled indirect restorations is poorly understood. PURPOSE The purpose of this scoping review was to summarize the current CAM systems, parameters, and setting changes, and their effects on different outcomes of milled indirect restorations and aspects related to their manufacture. MATERIAL AND METHODS The protocol of this review is available online (https://osf.io/x28ps/). Studies that used at least 2 different parameters (CAM units, number of axes, digital spacers, or protocols with different rotatory instruments, grit-sizes, milling speed, or others) for milling indirect restorations were included. A structured search up to July 2023 was performed by 2 independent reviewers for articles written in English in LILACS, MEDLINE via PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, and Scopus. RESULTS Of 1546 studies identified, 22 were included in the review. Discrepancies were found between the planned and actual measured cement space, with a decreasing linear relationship impacting restoration adaptation at different points. The CEREC MC XL milling machine was the most used system in the included studies, with variations in bur types, milling modes, and number of burs uses affecting internal fit and surface trueness. The results demonstrated the better adaptation of restorations made with 5-axis over 3-axis milling machines. Lithium disilicate and zirconia were the most commonly used materials, and crowns and inlays were popular designs. Marginal and internal adaptation were the primary outcomes assessed using the various techniques. CONCLUSIONS The study presented a comprehensive exploration of CAM systems and parameters, and their influence on indirect restorations. The planned cement space was not properly reproduced by the milling. Bur characteristics can affect restoration fit and trueness. The 5-axis units seem to result in better-adapted restorations compared with 3- and 4-axis units.

Abstract
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM The cement gap setting affects the marginal and internal fits depending on the crown material and manufacturing method (subtractive or additive manufacturing). However, information on the effects of cement space settings in the computer-aided design (CAD) software program, which is used to aid the manufacturing with 3-dimensional (3D) printing-type resin material, is lacking, and recommendations for optimal marginal and internal fit are needed. PURPOSE The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate how cement gap settings affect the marginal and internal fit of a 3D-printed definitive resin crown. MATERIAL AND METHODS After scanning a prepared typodont left maxillary first molar, a crown was designed with cement spaces of 35, 50, 70, and 100 μm by using a CAD software program. A total of 14 specimens per group were 3D printed from definitive 3D-printing resin. By using the replica technique, the intaglio surface of the crown was duplicated, and the duplicated specimen was sectioned in the buccolingual and mesiodistal directions. Statistical analyses were performed using the Kruskal-Wallis and the Mann-Whitney post hoc tests (α=.05). RESULTS Although the median values of the marginal gaps were within the clinically acceptable limit (<120 μm) for all the groups, the smallest marginal gaps were obtained with the 70-μm setting. For the axial gaps, there was no observed difference in the 35-, 50-, and 70-μm groups, and the 100-μm group showed the largest gap. The smallest axio-occlusal and occlusal gaps were obtained with the 70-μm setting. CONCLUSIONS Based on the findings of this in vitro study, a 70-μm cement gap setting is recommended for optimal marginal and internal fit of 3D-printed resin crowns.

Abstract
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM The accuracy of different virtual cement gap parameters in designing a single crown in a computer-aided design (CAD) software program is still unclear. PURPOSE The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate and compare the virtual cement gap settings of 3 different CAD software programs used to design a single crown restoration. MATERIAL AND METHODS Three different CAD software programs (exocad, Dental System, and B4D) were evaluated for designing single crowns with similar virtual cement gap settings. Three experimental groups were created based on the CAD software program used (n=10). Three-dimensional analysis software program was used to assess the virtual cement gap in the CAD restoration. The Shapiro-Wilk test of normality was used. Comparisons were carried out by using 1-way ANOVA and the Scheffé post hoc test (α=.05). RESULTS The Dental System software program had the lowest statistical mean error values at both tooth margin (4.6 μm) and axial wall (1.5 μm), followed by B4D then exocad. At the occlusal surface, the lowest statistical mean error value of 5 μm was achieved by the Dental System followed by exocad then B4D. CONCLUSIONS Accuracy of the virtual cement gap parameter in single crown design varies based on the CAD software used. The highest accuracy was attained by the Dental System software program at all tooth surfaces, followed by B4D at the tooth margin and axial wall and by exocad at the occlusal surface.

Abstract
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM Information on the morphological accuracy of crowns automatically produced by different computer-aided design (CAD) software programs for multilevel dentition defects is limited. PURPOSE The purpose of this in vitro study was to compare the morphological accuracy of crowns fabricated using different CAD software programs with different design theories for multilevel dentition defects. MATERIAL AND METHODS Four dentition defect types (the standard group, the abrasion group, the adjacent-teeth-missing group, and the antagonist-tooth-missing group, n=10) were fabricated to represent different levels of missing dentition information. Two design modes (the library mode and correlation mode) of 3 common CAD software programs (3Shape [3Shape Dental system], CEREC [Dentsply Sirona], and exocad DentalCAD [exocad GmbH]) were used to design crowns automatically, and the morphologies of the generated crowns and original teeth were recorded. The root mean square (RMS) value was calculated to evaluate the morphological deviations between the autogenerated crowns and original teeth using the 3D matching system (Geomagic GmbH). As each group in this study represented 3 factors, the mean differences between the treatment combinations and the interaction effects were analyzed by performing factorial analysis of variance (α=.05). RESULTS The RMS values of autogenerated crowns designed using the correlation method were significantly lower than those designed using the library method of each software program in the 4 groups (P<.05). The RMS values of crowns designed by the 3Shape and CEREC software programs in library mode under conditions with dentition information loss were lower than those of crowns designed by the exocad software program (P<.05). Changes in the acquisition of dental information did not decrease the CEREC design accuracy (P>.05), while they did decrease the 3Shape and exocad design accuracy (P<.05). CONCLUSIONS The correlation method showed higher accuracy in rebuilding the original morphology of the teeth than the library method. Both the 3Shape and CEREC software programs showed higher accuracy than the exocad software program in library mode under conditions with dentition information loss, while CEREC showed higher stability than the 3Shape and exocad software programs.

Abstract
AIM To digitally evaluate the marginal adaptation of different types of all-ceramic crowns on two different marginal configurations such as Shoulder and Chamfer of the prepared teeth. METHODS The marginal fit of the crown specimens on the model of the prepared teeth were assessed using the dual scan replica technique. Two plastic teeth were prepared; one having a Shoulder finishing line (A), while the other with a Chamfer finish line (B). Three types of different all-ceramic crowns, layered zirconia, monolithic zirconia, and pressed lithium disilicate, were fabricated for each prepared tooth (A) and (B). Measurements for assessing the marginal discrepancy were done on four designated points on the mesial, distal, buccal, and palatal surface of the superimposed image. RESULTS The average marginal gap was the largest in the layered zirconia group, followed by monolithic zirconia, while pressed lithium disilicate crowns showed the least marginal gaps. Crowns with Chamfer finish lines were better fitting (less marginal gap) than the shoulder finish lines across all the groups. CONCLUSIONS Chamfer finish lines produced better fitting restorations, and heat-pressed lithium disilicate crowns showed better adaptation at the margins than both layered zirconia and monolithic zirconia.
