Abstract
Two new organic-inorganic molecular solids of tetra(isothiocyanate)cobalt(II) dianion and disubstituted benzyl triphenylphosphinium, [2Cl4FBzTPP]2[Co(NCS)4] (1) and [2Cl4ClBzTPP]2[Co(NCS)4] (2) ([2Cl4FBzTPP](+)=1-(2'-chloro-4'-fluorobenzyltriphenylphosphonium) and [2Cl4ClBzTPP](+)=1-(2',4'-dichlorobenzyltriphenylphosphonium), were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV-Vis spectra, ESI-MS and single crystal X-ray diffraction method. Compounds 1 and 2 crystallize in the monoclinic Pc and triclinic P-1, respectively. The Co(II) ion of the [Co(NCS)4](2-) anion shows a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry. The [2Cl4FBzTPP](+) cations containing P(2) atoms in 1 form a column by the Cl⋯π interactions, while the [2Cl4ClBzTPP](+) cations in 2 form two columns by the C-H⋯π and π⋯π interactions. The anion and the cation are linked by C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds and Cl⋯S interactions. Magnetic susceptibility measurement in the temperature range 2-300K shows that both 1 and 2 exhibit a weak antiferromagnetic exchange interaction as the temperature falls, and ultraviolet fluorescence emission in the solid state at room temperature.

Abstract
The reaction of CoCl2 with the naphthalene methylated triphenylphosphinium bromide [n-NAPMeTPP]Br (n=1, 2) and KSCN, in a methanolic medium at ambient temperature, leads to the self-assembly formation of hybrid 2:1 organic-inorganic molecular solids, [1-NAPMeTPP]2[Co(NCS)4](1) and [2-NAPMeTPP]2[Co(NCS)4](2) ([NAPMeTPP](+)=(naphthylmethylene)(triphenyl)phosphinium), which have been characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectra, ESI-MS, molar conductivity and single-crystal X-ray diffraction structural analyses. Compound 1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pna21, while 2 does in the monoclinic space group C2/c. The cations form a dimer through the weak intermolecular C-H⋯π interactions in 1 and π⋯π interaction in 2, while the anion and cation are linked by the C-H⋯S hydrogen bond in 1. Two molecular solids show dual functionalities: (1) the broad fluorescence emission around 400nm in the solid state at room temperature; (2) the weak antiferromagnetic coupling behavior.

Abstract
A cadmium 1,10-phenanthroline complex, [Cd(phen)2(NO3)2] has been synthesized by and its crystal structure determined. The compound is monoclinic, C2/c, a=11.5008(2), b=15.3523(2), c=13.2767(2)Å, β=103.610(2), Z=4. The compound is monomeric with a octacoordinate cadmium ion bonded to two bidentate 1,10-phenanthroline molecules and two bidentate nitrate units. The metal ion is bis-chelated by two N-heterocycles as well as by two nitrate ions in a distorted dodecahedral CdN4O4 coordination environment. The complex is thermally stable up to 110°C. Photophysical investigation reveals that complex is luminescent in the solid state. The molecular geometry, harmonic vibrational frequencies and bonding features of complex [Cd(phen)2(NO3)2] in the ground-state have been calculated by using the density functional B3LYP method with 3-21G (d, p) as higher basis set. The calculated HOMO and LUMO energies show that charge transfer occurs within the molecule. Finally the calculation results were applied to simulate infrared spectrum of the title compound which show good agreement with observed spectrum.

Abstract
The structure of the title polymeric compound, [Cd(SCN)2(C6H8N2)2] n , exhibits a two-dimensional staircase-like structure parallel to (010) in which the Cd(II) atom lies on a twofold rotation axis and has a distorted octa-hedral CdS2N4 geometry involving four μ-1,3-(SCN) group donors and two N-atom donors from 1,3-phenyl-enedi-amine ligands, which also have twofold symmetry. The major contributions to the cohesion and the stability of this two-dimensional polymeric structure are the covalent Cd-S,N bonds and one weak intra-layer N-H⋯S hydrogen bond.

Abstract
The structure of the title compound, [Cd(NCS)2(C7H9NO)2]n, consists of cadmium–thiocyanate layers parallel to the ab plane. Pairs of CdII ions are bridged by two end-to-end inversely bridging μ-NCS-N:S thiocyanate groups, forming a two-dimensional network with the remaining two trans positions of the octahedrally coordinated CdII ions occupied by the N atoms of two neutral 2-methoxyaniline ligands. The crystal structure is stabilized by intralayer N—H⋯S hydrogen bonds.

Abstract
Two new two-dimensional coordination polymers [Cd(3)L(2)(SCN)(6)](n) (1) and [CdLI(2)](n) (2) have been synthesized and characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, TG technique, XRPD and complete single crystal structure analysis, where L is 4-(pyridine-2-yl)methyleneamino-1,2,4-trizaole. Asymmetrical Schiff-base ligand L with five- and six-membered N-containing heterocyclic rings acts as a tridentate bridging ligand to bind two Cd(II) centers through one terminal N(triazolyl) and one pyridylimine chelate unit in 1 and 2. For polymer 1, tridentate bridging ligands link Cd-(1,3-μ-SCN(-)) 1D inorganic chains to form a 2D layer network. The existence of C-H···π and π-π stacking interactions between 2D hybrid layers further gives rise to a 3D supramolecular network. In comparison with 1, polymer 2 shows a 2D layer network containing hexanuclear macrometallacyclic units. The 2D layers are staggered together through the combination of C-H···π and π-π stacking interactions and forming a 3D supramolecular structure. The luminescent properties of the polymers 1 and 2 were investigated in the solid state at room temperature.

Abstract
Two one-dimensional d(10)-metal coordination polymers {[AgL(H(2)O)](2)[AgL(NO(3))](2)(NO(3))(2)L(H(2)O)(2)}(n) (1) and [ZnLCl(2)](n) (2) (L=N,N'-bis-(1-pyridin-4-yl-ethylidene)-hydrazine) have been synthesized and characterized by IR, elemental analysis, TG technique, XRPD and X-ray crystallography. Polymer 1 contains two types of 1D Ag-double-chain units. Ag(1)-double-chain unit is formed by linking two adjacent Ag(1)-L-chains through face-to-face π⋯π interactions, while Ag(2)-double-chain unit is formed through the combination of coordinating NO(3)(-) anions bridging interactions and π⋯π interactions between two adjacent Ag(2)-L-chains. Free ligands interact with the adjacent Ag(1)-double-chain units and Ag(2)-double-chain units to form a 3D supramolecular structure through multiform hydrogen bonds. For polymer 2, each ligand acts as a bis-monodentate bridging ligand to bind adjacent Zn(II) centers forming a one-dimensional chain structure. Furthermore, 1D chain is held together with its neighboring ones via CH⋯π interactions. The luminescent properties of the polymers 1 and 2 were investigated in the solid state at room temperature.
