Abstract
In this study, the AgOAc/ThioClickFerrophos (TCF) complex was used to successfully catalyze asymmetric [3 + 2] cycloaddition between glycine imino esters and CO2Me-appended α-alkylidene succinimides to afford spiropyrrolidines in good yields with high diastereo- and enantioselectivities (up to 95% ee). The silver/TCF afforded endo-(2,5-cis) cycloadducts in contrast to the previous exo'-(2,5-trans) selective reaction with ylidene-2,3-dioxopyrrolidine. A wide variety of imino esters bearing electron-donating and electron-withdrawing groups on the phenyl groups and heteroaryl substrates were utilized in this reaction. The scope of α-alkylidene succinimides was investigated, which revealed that substituents on α-benzylidene derivatives had negligible effect on the product yield and stereoselectivity, and α-alkylidene derivatives could be efficiently used as dipolarophiles.

Abstract
The asymmetric 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of glycine imino esters to Morita-Baylis-Hillman (MBH) adducts or acetylated MBH adducts is described. The reaction was efficiently catalyzed by AgOAc/(R,Sp)-ThioClickFerrophos at room temperature to afford pyrrolidine derivatives bearing a quaternary carbon as a single diastereomer with excellent enantioselectivity. When a cyclic pyrroline ester was used as the nucleophile instead of a glycine imino ester, the enantioselective tandem addition-elimination reaction with an acetylated MBH adduct proceeded with an excellent yield and enantioselectivity, resulting in the formation of an exo-olefin. The wide substrate scope of these reactions and the transformability of the products enable expeditious access to divergent multifunctionalized pyrrolidines in an optically pure fashion.

Abstract
Marine neuroexcitatory compounds isodomoic acids G and H were efficiently synthesized from a common intermediate using a silicon-based cross-coupling reaction. Dividing each target compound into the core fragment and the side-chain fragment enabled the synthesis to be convergent. The trans-2,3-disubstituted pyrrolidine core fragment was accessed through a diastereoselective rhodium-catalyzed carbonylative silylcarbocyclization reaction of a vinylglycine-derived 1,6-enyne. A stereochemically divergent desilylative iodination reaction was developed to convert the cyclization product to both E- and Z-alkenyl iodides, which would eventually lead to isodomoic acid G and isodomoic acid H, respectively. The late-stage alkenyl-alkenyl silicon-based cross-coupling reaction uniting the core alkenyl iodides and the side-chain alkenylsilanol was achieved under mild conditions. Finally, two mild deprotections afforded the target molecules.

Abstract
Stereoselective cyclo-addition reactions of azomethine ylides promoted by in situ generated Ag(I)/bisphosphine complexes were studied. Under the optimized conditions, the pyrrolidine products were isolated in up to 84 % yield and with up to 71% e.e. The effects of various reaction variables on the stereoselectivity were also investigated.

Abstract
The copper silanechalcogenolates tBu3PCuESiPh3 (1, E = O; 2, E = S; 3, E = Se) were prepared from the reaction of [tBu3PCu(CH3CN)3]BF4 with [Ph3SiELi(THF)2]2 in acetonitrile. The compounds were obtained as colorless, crystalline, but thermally labile solids. X-ray crystallography shows that complexes 1-3 are monomeric in the solid state with no Cu...Cu interactions. The Cu atoms have either a linear or a near-linear coordination geometry in all three complexes. Interestingly, the O atom in complex 1 is also linear, which is in contrast to the highly bent S (2) and Se analogues (3). Density functional theory calculations suggest that both the linear geometry of 1 and an associated extremely short Cu-O distance [1.769(4) A] are not the result of pi delocalization but are the result of a fine balance of electrostatic interaction and Pauli repulsion.
