Abstract
Considering the excellent thermo-mechanical properties, chemical stability and low cost of biodegradable aliphatic-aromatic copolyesters, they are an ideal matrix when functionalized for capturing pollutants in wastewater. In this work, biodegradable poly((butylene succinate-co-terephthalate)-co-serinol terephthalate) (PBSST) copolyesters with amino side group (-NH2) were first synthesized through copolymerization, followed by grafting carboxymethyl-β-cyclodextrin (CM-β-CD) into PBSST molecular chains via amidation reaction to prepare PBSST-g-β-CD. The corresponding nanofibrous membranes were then fabricated by electrospinning as adsorbents for efficiently removing cationic dye methyl blue (MB) from aqueous solutions. The adsorption performance of the nanofibrous membranes was fitted well with pseudo-second-order model and Langmuir isotherm model. The maximum adsorption capacity was 543.48 mg g-1 for MB along with a removal efficiency of 98% after five regeneration cycles, indicating the high adsorption capacity and good recyclability of nanofibrous membranes. The adsorbents possess features of high adsorption capacity, eco-friendliness and easy operation, and exhibit great potential for disposing of printing-dying wastewater.

Abstract
We herein report an iron-catalyzed direct diazidation method via activation of bench-stable peroxyesters promoted by nitrogen-based ligands. This method is effective for a broad range of olefins and N-heterocycles, including those that are difficult substrates for the existing olefin diamination and diazidation methods. Notably, nearly a stoichiometric amount of oxidant and TMSN3 are sufficient for high-yielding diazidation for most substrates. Preliminary mechanistic studies elucidated the similarities and differences between this method and the benziodoxole-based olefin diazidation method previously developed by us. This method effectively addresses the limitations of the existing olefin diazidation methods. Most notably, previously problematic nonproductive oxidant decomposition can be minimized. Furthermore, X-ray crystallographic studies suggest that an iron-azide-ligand complex can be generated in situ from an iron acetate precatalyst and that it may facilitate peroxyester activation and the rate-determining C-N3 bond formation during diazidation of unstrained olefins.

Abstract
The first catalytic enantio- and diastereoselective synthesis of 4-nitropyrazolidines is presented. Asymmetric hydrogen-bonding activation of nitro-olefins facilitated the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition with hydrazones, affording optically active 4-nitropyrazolidines containing three continuous stereogenic centers as a single diastereomer in up to 99% ee. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that the optically active 4-nitropyrazolidines can be applied as precursors for the synthesis of highly interesting 1,2,3-triamines.

Abstract
Desymmetrizaton enzymatic processes have been extensively studied searching for optimal methods of producing enantioenriched monoacetates from prochiral diols and diesters. AK lipase has been found as an excellent biocatalyst for the desymmetriaztion of a series of previously synthesized 3-arylpentane-1,5-diols derivatives. The access to (S)- or (R)-monoacetates in high optical purity (86-99% ee) has been possible by using acetylation or hydrolysis reactions, respectively, where the reaction parameters have been optimized in terms of source and amount of biocatalyst, temperature, solvent, and reaction time. The synthetic potential of enantiopure monoesters has been demonstrated by using these interesting chiral building blocks for the preparation of novel enantiopure carboxylic acid derivatives.
