Abstract
The 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of active azomethine ylide, which were generated in situ from addition reaction of α-amino acids with dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates, with 2-arylidene-1,3-indanediones showed versatile regioselectivity and diastereoselectivity. The reaction of sarcosine and glycine afforded one kind of functionalized spiro[indene-2,3'-pyrrolidines]. The other primary α-amino acids such as alanine, phenylalanine and leucine gave another kind of regioisomeric spiro[indene-2,3'-pyrrolidines]. The cyclic α-amino acids resulted in the corresponding spiro[indene-2,2'-pyrrolizines] and [indene-2,6'-pyrrolo[1,2-c]thiazoles].

Abstract
This review provides an overview of several synthetic applications of methyl perfluoroalk-2-ynoates, leading to convenient preparation of many perfluoroalkylated compounds. The use of these important substrates in the synthesis of various five-, six-, and seven-membered heterocycles, cyclopentadienes, and biphenyls is described, alongside a discussion of the mechanistic aspects of these reactions.

Abstract
A simple and practical tandem reaction has been established to synthesize functionalized 4-(nitromethyl)-4H-chromenes. Most products were obtained in medium to good yields. Further, chromeno[4,3-b]chromene, an important structure, was easily obtained via this strategy.

Abstract
An efficient one-pot tandem cyclization/[3 + 2] cycloaddition reaction of N’-(2-alkynylbenzylidene)hydrazides with ethyl 4,4,4-trifluorobut-2-ynoate under silver triflate-catalyzed or electrophile-mediated conditions is described. Various trifluoromethylated pyrazolo[5,1-a]isoquinolines were afforded in moderate to excellent yield by this developed method.

Abstract
A protocol has been developed for the efficient synthesis of structurally diverse 3,4-dihydropyridin-2(1H)-ones and 3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrans via four-component reactions of arylamines, acetylenedicarboxylate, aromatic aldehydes and cyclic 1,3-diketones. The selective formation of the very different pyridinone or pyran derivatives depends on the structure of cyclic 1,3-diketone. The key steps are proposed to involve Michael addition of the enamino ester formed in situ from the reaction of arylamine with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate to arylidine cyclic 1,3-diketones.

Abstract
An efficient synthesis of 2-perfluoroalkyl 4H-chromen-3-ylphosphonates 4a-i (R(F) = CF(3)) and 5a-i (R(F) = C(2)F(5)) has been accomplished via regioselective cycloaddition of 2-hydroxybenzaldehydes to diethyl 3,3,3-trifluoropropyn-1-yl- and diethyl 3,3,4,4,4-pentafluorobutyn-1-ylphosphonate, using trialkyl amines or phosphines as mediators. 2H-Chromen-3-ylphosphonates 6a-i were regioselectively obtained in the presence of triphenylphosphine. A convenient method for the isomerization of 4H-chromen-3-ylphosphonates into 2H-chromen-3-ylphosphonates 6a-i (R(F) = CF(3)) and 7a-i (R(F) = C(2)F(5)) was established.
