Abstract
In this paper, we describe an efficient InCl3-catalyzed two-component reaction of 1-(2-aminophenyl)pyrroles/indoles and 2-propargyloxybenzaldehydes for the direct synthesis of 12bH-benzo[6,7]1,4-oxazepino[4,5-a]pyrrolo/indolo[2,1-c]quinoxalines. This high atom- and step-economical one-pot process generates three new C/N-C bonds in a single synthetic operation, resulting in the formation of new six- and seven-membered heterocyclic rings. The easy availability of the starting materials, the use of the relatively inexpensive indium catalyst, and the good substrate scope are the salient features of this strategy. The proposed mechanistic pathway involves imine formation, two consecutive cyclizations via electrophilic aromatic substitution and nucleophilic addition reactions, and the H shift step.

Abstract
The indium(III)-catalyzed cascade cycloisomerization reaction of 1,5-enynes with pendant aryl nucleophiles is reported. The reaction proceeds in cascade under mild reaction conditions, using InI3 (5 mol %) as a catalyst with a range of 1,5-enynes furnished with aryl groups (phenyl and phenol) at alkene (E and Z isomers) and with terminal and internal alkynes. Using 1-bromo-1,5-enynes, a one-pot sequential indium-catalyzed cycloisomerization and palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling with triorganoindium reagents were developed. The double cyclization is stereospecific and operates via a biomimetic cascade cation-olefin through 1,5-enyne cyclization (6-endo-dig) and subsequent C-C hydroarylation or C-O phenoxycyclization. Density functional theory (DFT) computational studies on 1,5-enynyl aryl ethers support a two-step mechanism where the first stereoselective 1,5-enyne cyclization produces a nonclassical carbocation intermediate that evolves to the tricyclic reaction product through a SEAr mechanism. Using this approach, a variety of tricyclic heterocycles such as benzo[b]chromenes, phenanthridines, xanthenes, and spiroheterocyclic compounds are efficiently synthesized with high atom economy.

Abstract
One-pot syntheses are a simple, efficient and easy methodology, which are widely
used for the synthesis of organic compounds. Imidazoline is a valuable heterocyclic moiety
used as a synthetic intermediate, chiral auxiliary, chiral catalyst and a ligand for asymmetric
catalysis. Imidazole is a fundamental unit of biomolecules that can be easily prepared from
imidazolines. The one-pot method is an impressive approach to synthesize organic compounds
as it minimizes the reaction time, separation procedures, and ecological impact. Many significant
one-pot methods such as N-bromosuccinimide mediated reaction, ring-opening of tetrahydrofuran,
triflic anhydrate mediated reaction, etc. were reported for imidazoline synthesis.
This review describes an overview of the one-pot synthesis of imidazolines and covers literature
up to 2020.

Abstract
This review deals with the recent applications of the indium trichloride (InCl3) catalyst in the synthesis of a broad spectrum of heterocyclic compounds. Over the years, a number of reviews on the applications of InCl3-catalyzed organic synthesis have appeared in the literature. It is evident that InCl3 has emerged as a valuable catalyst for a wide range of organic transformations due to its stability when exposed to moisture and also in an aqueous medium. The most attractive feature of this review is the application of the InCl3 catalyst for synthesizing bioactive heterocyclic compounds. The study of InCl3-catalyzed organic reactions has high potential and better intriguing aspects, which are anticipated to originate from this field of research.

Abstract
In the present work, gold based catalysts were synthesized and immobilized on the surface of cyclic olefin copolymer (COC) microreactors. The microreactors were subsequently applied in a homemade microfluidic system for synthesizing benzaldehyde by oxidation of benzyl alcohol in water medium. The Au nanoparticles (NPs) immobilized on the inner surface of the microchannel showed a very high selectivity (94%) for benzaldehyde, while zeolite NPs exhibited only an adsorption feature to this reaction. Moreover, the results showed that the AuNP catalytic activity was maintained for at least 9 hours. However, the obtained conversion with AuNPs was only 20%, indicating a relatively low productivity. In comparison, AuNPs assembled on the surface of zeolite NPs (AuNPs@zeolite) and immobilized in the microchannel showed the best catalytic performance, as the highest benzaldehyde selectivity (>99%) with a relatively high benzyl alcohol conversion of 42.4% was achieved under the same conditions. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first example demonstrating the use of AuNP or AuNP@zeolite catalysts in a microsystem performing such high selectivity for benzaldehyde in water medium.

Abstract
A new approach for the synthesis of highly functionalized tetrahydrocyclohepta[ b]indoles through [5 + 2] cycloaddition was developed. Two carbon-carbon bonds were formed by the simple addition of an indium catalyst, which acted as both a π-Lewis acid and σ-Lewis acid to activate the alkyne and unsaturated ester, respectively. The reaction could be applied to various substrates and proceeded regio- and diastereoselectively in all cases.

Abstract
A new study has been conducted to quantify lanthanide(III) ions using Arsenazo III-polyaminocarboxylic acid (PACA) system. The study disclosed two different analytically important information: (i) λmax of lanthanide-Arsenazo III complexes for lighter lanthanides like Ce(III) and Nd(III) did not shift from its original position on addition of PACA and (ii) for heavier lanthanides like Dy(III), Tm(III) and Lu(III) a new λmax at 538 nm was observed, while wavelengths at 610 nm and 654 nm were disappeared in presence of ethylenediaminetertracetic acid (EDTA) and trans-1,2-Diaminocyclohexane-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetic acid (DCTA), further the intensity of peak decreased with increase in lanthanide(III) ion concentration. Effect of ethylene glycol-bis(2-aminoethylether)-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetic acid (EGTA) and N-(2-hydroxyethyl) ethylenediamine-N,N',N'-triacetic acid (EDTA-OH) on Arsenzo(III)-Ln(III) complex is very weak and there is no analytically importance of such interaction. Moreover, this work confirms that Nd(III) and heavy lanthanides can be successfully determined with high accuracy in the working range of concentration of these metal ions.

Abstract
Intermolecular additions of thiols to allenols via formal S(N)2' selectivity to produce functionalized dienes are described. Although this dehydrative reaction was initially developed using gold(I) catalysis, indium(III) proves to be a far superior catalyst in terms of selectivity and substrate scope.

Abstract
Hydrothiolation of bromoalkynes has been reported for the first time under metal catalysed conditions. Indium(iii) trifluoromethanesulfonate was demonstrated as the first catalyst which can catalyse the hydrothiolation of bromoalkynes with absolute regio- and stereoselectivity to generate synthetically valuable (Z)-β-bromo vinyl sulfides in good yields.

Abstract
We report here an efficient and expeditious microwave-assisted synthesis of cyclopentadiene ring-fused tetrahydroquinolines using the three-component Povarov reaction catalyzed by indium (III) chloride. This method has an advantage of shorter reaction time (10 - 15 min) with high and reproducible yields (up to 90%) and is suitable for parallel library synthesis. The optimization process is reported and the results from the microwave route are compared with those of the conventional synthetic route. In almost all cases, the microwave acceleration consistently provided improved yields favoring the cis-diastereomer.
