Abstract
We herein report the synthesis and catalytic application of a new family of dinuclear Cu(I) complexes based on [N,P]-pyrrole ligands. The Cu(I) complexes (4a-d) were obtained in good yields and their catalytic properties were evaluated in the1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of azomethine ylides and electron-deficient alkenes. The air-stable complexes 4a-d exhibited high endo-diasteroselectivity to obtain substituted pyrrolidines, and the catalytic system showed excellent reactivity and wide substitution tolerance.

Abstract
The present account summarises routes to tetralones, tetralines, and naphthalenes based on the chemistry of xanthates developed in the authors' laboratory. The degenerative reversible transfer of xanthates allows radical addition even to unactivated, electronically unbiased alkenes, and tolerates a broad range of functional groups, in particular common polar groups such as esters, ketones, nitriles, amides, carbamates, etc. Xanthates also allow radical ring closures onto aromatic rings. This feature, in combination with the intermolecular addition to alkenes, can be used to construct tetralones and tetralines. With the appropriate appendages, the former can be converted into napthalenes with a variety of substitution patterns. This translates into a convergent approach to a vast array of building blocks of interest to the pharmaceutical and agrochemical industries, and to material sciences.

Abstract
The reaction result of a,b-unsaturated g-bromoketones with hydrazines depends on the structure of the reagents. Reaction with hydrazine hydrate leads to the mixture of 3,5- di(R)pyridazine, 3,6-di(R)pyridazine and 2,4-di(R)-1H-pyrrol-1-amine derivatives. The formation of three types of products is due to the structure of the unsaturated aliphatic ketone. Two competing reaction schemes of ketones with hydrazines are considered, which include condensation or Michael-type addition in the first stage. The main products of the reactions of halogen-substituted derivatives of g-bromodipnone with arylhydrazines are 1,3,5-triaryl-1,6-dihydropyridazines, which easily form aromatic salts under reaction conditions (when heated in EtOH).

Abstract
A palladium catalyzed synthesis of N–H phenanthridinones was developed via C–H arylation. The protocol gives phenanthridinones regioselectively by one-pot reaction without deprotection. It exhibits broad substrate scope and affords targets in up to 95% yields. Importantly, it could be applied for the less reactive o-chlorobenzamides. Pd(t-Bu3P)2/KOAc proved to be a good combination for one-pot synthesis of N–H phenanthridinones with up to 95% yield.![]()

Methods utilizing continuous flow photochemistry have been developed for the synthesis of phenanthridinones via an intramolecular photochemical cyclization reaction in yields up to 99%, as a means to generate poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase inhibitors.

Abstract
Short total syntheses of arnottin I and II were accomplished in 5 and 6 steps, respectively. A sesamol-benzyne cycloaddition with a 3-furyl-benzoate followed by regiospecific lactonization provided rapid, large-scale access to the core of arnottin I. Saponification of arnottin I and hypervalent iodide mediated spirocyclization provided an efficient and direct preparation of racemic arnottin II.
