Abstract
The Wittig reaction, which is one of the most effective methods for synthesizing alkenes from carbonyl compounds, generally gives thermodynamically stable E-alkenes, and synthesis of trisubstituted Z-alkenes from ketones presents notable challenges. Here, we report what we refer to as Wittig/B─H insertion reactions, which innovatively combine a Wittig reaction with carbene insertion into a B─H bond and constitute a promising method for the synthesis of thermodynamically unstable trisubstituted Z-boryl alkenes. Combined with the easy transformations of boryl group, this methodology provides efficient access to a variety of previously unavailable trisubstituted Z-alkenes and thus provides a platform for discovery of pharmaceuticals. The unique Z-selectivity of the reaction is determined by the maximum overlap of the orbitals between the B─H bond of the borane adduct and the alkylidene carbene intermediate in the transition state.

Abstract
A facile and efficient nickel-catalyzed C-C bond cleavage/phosphorylation of various cycloalkyl hydroperoxides was developed. This radical ring-opening strategy provided practical access to structurally diverse distal ketophosphine oxides in one pot through concurrent C═O/C-P bond formation with high atom economy under mild room temperature and base-free conditions.

Abstract
A copper-catalyzed stereoselective phosphono-hydrazonation of terminal alkynes with alkyl carbazates and diarylphosphine oxides is described. This methodology provides facile access to a variety of β-hydrazonophosphine oxides in satisfactory yields. The reaction proceeds under mild conditions and exhibits good functional group tolerance. A mechanism featuring persulfate-mediated oxidative generation of phosphinoyl radicals and copper-assisted hydrazonation is proposed.

Abstract
Utilizing heterogeneous catalysts to overcome obstacles for homogeneous reactions is fascinating but very challenging owing to the difficult fabrication of such catalysts based on the character of target reactions. Herein, we report a Al3+ doping strategy to construct single-atom Cu on MgO nanosheets (Cu1/MgO(Al)) for boosting the free-radical hydrophosphinylation of alkenes. Al3+ dopants in MgO bring about abundant Mg2+ vacancies for stabilizing dense independent Cu atoms (6.3 wt %), while aggregated Cu nanoparticles are formed without Al3+ dopants (Cu/MgO). Cu1/MgO(Al) exhibits preeminent activity and durability in the hydrophosphinylation of various alkenes with great anti-Markovnikov selectivity (99%). The turnover frequency (TOF) value reaches up to 1272 h-1, exceeding those of Cu/MgO by ∼6-fold and of traditional homogeneous catalysts drastically. Further experimental and theoretical studies disclose that the prominent performance of Cu1/MgO(Al) derives from the accelerated initiating step of phosphinoyl radical triggered by individual Cu atoms.

Abstract
A hydrophosphination reaction of alkenes with triphenylphosphonium triflate under photocatalytic conditions is described. The reaction is promoted by naphthalene-fused N-acylbenzimidazole and is believed to proceed through intermediate formation of a phosphinyl radical cation. The resulting phosphonium salts are directly involved in the Wittig reaction leading to homologated alkenes.

Abstract
Due to the wide importance of β-phosphorylated ketones as key building-blocks in the fabrication of various pharmaceutically active organophosphorus compounds, finding new and truly efficient methods for their preparation from simple, low-cost and ubiquitous feedstock materials within a single click is an interesting subject in organic synthesis. Recently, oxyfunctionalization of carbon-carbon multiple bonds has arisen as a straightforward and versatile tool for the synthesis of complex organic molecules from the simple and easily accessible alkenes/alkynes via a single operation. In this context, oxyphosphorylation of alkenes/alkynes with P(O)-H compounds has attracted considerable attention as a unique procedure for the construction of β-phosphorylated ketones. In this review, we outline the recent advances and developments in this fast-growing research field with particular emphasis on the mechanistic aspects of reaction.

Abstract
A tandem radical relay strategy was realized for the first Cu(I)-catalyzed enantioselective phosphinocyanation of styrenes. In this reaction, tBuOOSiMe3 generated in situ from tBuOOH serves as a radical initiator to trigger t-butoxy radical production upon oxidization of L*Cu(I) species via proton-coupled-electron transfer (PCET) pathway, which leads to sequential phosphinoyl radical and benzyl radical formations. The resultant β-cyanodiarylphosphine oxides could be easily converted to a series of chiral γ-amino phosphine ligands.

Abstract
The oxidative coupling of photogenerated alkyl radicals with readily available styrenes is disclosed. This visible-light-mediated method allows rapid access to a wide range of α-alkyl-acetophenones in good yields and with high functional group tolerance. In addition, the developed protocol features room temperature conditions, low photocatalyst loadings, and the use of dimethyl sulfoxide as nontoxic and mild terminal oxidant.
