Abstract
Amino-[1,1']-biphenyl-containing 3-aryl-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-c]quinazoline derivatives with fluorescent properties have been designed and synthesized. The type of annelation of the triazole ring to the pyrimidine one has been unambiguously confirmed by means of an X-ray diffraction (XRD) method; the molecules are non-planar, and the aryl substituents form the pincer-like conformation. The UV/Vis and photoluminescent properties of target compounds were investigated in two solvents of different polarities and in a solid state. The samples emit a broad range of wavelengths and display fluorescent quantum yields of up to 94% in toluene solutions. 5-(4'-Diphenylamino-[1,1']-biphenyl-4-yl)-3-(4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-c]quinazoline exhibits the strongest emission in toluene and a solid state. Additionally, the solvatochromic properties were studied for the substituted [1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-c]quinazolines. Moreover, the changes in absorption and emission spectra have been demonstrated upon the addition of water to MeCN solutions, which confirms aggregate formation, and some samples were found to exhibit aggregation-induced emission enhancement. Further, the ability of triazoloquinazolines to detect trifluoroacetic acid has been analyzed; the presence of TFA induces changes in both absorption and emission spectra, and acidochromic behavvior was observed for some triazoloquinazoline compounds. Finally, electronic-structure calculations with the use of quantum-chemistry methods were performed for synthesized compounds.

Abstract
Four fluorimetric probes had been developed to rapidly detect 2,4,6-trinitrophenol (TNP). They were designed and synthesized on the basis of 1,3,4-thiadiazole framework combining calculation with experiment. Among them, SK-1 displayed strong blue emission with fluorescence quantum yield as high as 63.6% in solution. Further evaluation demonstrated that SK-1 displays good selectivity and high sensitivity for rapid and visual detection of TNP. It brought significant changes in both colour and fluorescence emission spectrum. The detection limit was as low as 38 nM. Quenching mechanism was confirmed as photo-induced electron transfer (PET) by nuclear magnetic titration and DFT calculations. What's more, application in real water samples and solid phase paper tests illustrated the practical significance of detection of TNP in both vapor and solution.

Abstract
Two remarkablely fluorimetric probes were developed to rapidly detect 2,4,6-trinitrophenol (TNP). With the help of density functional theory (DFT) calculations, we confirmed that using 1,3,4-thiadiazole skeleton as recognition group and coumarin unit as fluorophore would show excellent application prospects in terms of TNP detection. The probes LK-1 and LK-2 displayed green and orange emission with fluorescence quenching yield as high as 83.7% and 75.1% in solution. Further evaluation demonstrated that they display outstanding selectivity and sensitivity for rapid and visual detection of TNP. Both fluorescent color and fluorescence emission spectrum had significant changes and these phenomena could easily observe via naked-eye and analytical instrument. The detection limits of them were 97 nM and 71 nM. What's more, application in real water samples and solid phase paper tests illustrated the practical significance of detection of TNP.

Abstract
A highly efficient approach to a new class of polycyclic 8-azapurines, benzo[4,5]imidazo[1,2-a][1,2,3]triazolo[4,5-e]pyrimidines (BITPs), with good photophysical characteristics is proposed. The approach comprises condensation of aminobenzimidazoles with 3-oxo-2-phenylazopropionitrile to form 3-(arylazo)benzo[4,5]imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidine-4-amines, which undergo oxidative cyclization by the catalytic action of copper(II) acetate, resulting in BITPs with 73-84% yield. Spectral investigations demonstrated the fluorescent properties of BITPs, exhibiting good quantum yields (up to 60%) with maxima absorption at 379-399 and emission at 471-505 nm.

Abstract
The present work undertakes the structural and electronic properties of 3-thiophene acetic acid (abbreviated as 3-TAA) monomer and dimer. DFT calculations were performed using B3LYP functional in combination with the aug-cc-pVTZ basis set. The optimized structural parameters were found to be in a good agreement with experimental molecular geometry. The stability of the crystal packing was ensured by OH⋯O, C-H⋯O and CH⋯S intermolecular interactions. All the Non covalent interactions were deeply studied in terms of their topological parameters, Hirshfeld surface (HS) analysis and reduced density gradient (RDG) analysis. The electronic properties of the investigated compound have been performed using time dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) and discussed through its correspondant HOMO, LUMO and excitation energy values. Likewise, the reactivity of 3-TAA was discussed in terms of several thermodynamic parameters. In addition, the molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) surface has been performed and discussed in terms of color distribution. In addition, the natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis was used to investigate the electronic charge transfer into the molecule. Harmine, Clorgyline, Isatin, zonisamide and our title compound including are known with their competitive inhibitory activity on Human monoamine oxidase, commonly named MAO A and B. This enzyme is a critical enzyme in the degradative deamination of biogenic amines throughout the body. Thus, molecular docking behaviors of 3-TAA are computed and compared to the results found for Harmine, Clorgyline, Isatin, zonisamide ligands.

Abstract
Novel fluorescent anthracene-decorated cyclotri- and cyclotetraphosphazenes (5 and 6) are designed and synthesized, and their chemosensor behaviors against nitroaromatic compounds are examined by UV/Vis and fluorescence spectroscopies for addressing the sensors with cyclophosphazenes for 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene detection. The fluorescence intensities of (5 and 6) are found to be selectively quenched by only 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene through the non-covalent π⋯π stacking interactions between anthracene-substituted cyclophosphazenes and 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene. In addition, cyclic voltammetry and theoretical calculation of novel sensor systems are studied. The proposed fluorescent sensor systems are critical in terms of practical detection of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene.

Abstract
AbstractDirect metal-free C–H functionalization of arenes with nucleophiles is a new chapter in the chemistry of aromatics. Comprehensive studies on nucleophilic substitution of hydrogen in arenes (the SNH reactions), including mechanisms, intermediates, mathematic and electrochemical modeling, kinetics, electron-transfer, etc. have shown that this is not the hydride ion, but C–H proton is departed, and this process is facilitated by the presence of an appropriate oxidant or an auxiliary group. The SNH reactions, as a part of the general C–H functionalization concept, change the logic of organic synthesis. They open new opportunities, avoiding incorporation of good leaving groups or other auxiliaries in an aromatic ring, as a prefunctionalization step, thus providing a better correspondence to the principles of green chemistry.
