Abstract
4,4'-(1,4-phenylene)bis(2-(alkylamino)-3-nitro-4H-benzo[g]chromene-5,10-dione) and 4,4'-(1,4-phenylene)bis(2-(alkylamino)-3-nitropyrano[3,2-c]chromen-5(4H)-one) derivatives are synthesized by a one-pot, multi-component reaction of N-alkyl-1-(methylthio)-2-nitroethenamine (derived from the reaction of various amines and 1,1-bis(methylthio)-2-nitroethene) with terephthalaldehyde or isophthalaldehyde, and 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone or 4-hydroxycoumarin in EtOH/H2O (85 : 15) as the solvent at 89 °C. Response surface methodology (RSM) is used to investigate the effect of reaction temperature and water content of aqueous ethanol on the product yields and reaction time. The notable features of this work are the optimization of reaction conditions with minimal experiments, absence of catalyst, good yields, simple work-up and the non-chromatographic purification of products.

Abstract
[Formula: see text]-Enaminoesters were generated in situ by the reaction of aliphatic or aromatic primary amines to electron-deficient alkynes, dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate, and methyl propiolate. [Formula: see text]-Enaminoesters thus formed were reacted with 1-adamantanamine and formaldehyde in methanol to give novel molecular hybrids: dimethyl 3-((3s,5s,7s)-adamantan-1-yl)-1-(alkyl/aralkyl/aryl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine-5,6-dicarboxylates (5a-j) and methyl 3-((3s,5s,7s)-adamantan-1-yl)-1-(alkyl/aralkyl/aryl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine-5-carboxylates (9a-j). The structures of the molecular hybrids have been established based on the spectral and analytical data. Structural confirmation of the products was done by X-ray crystallography of 5d as a representative product of the series.

Abstract
A rapid and efficient ultrasound-promoted one-pot synthesis of spiro[indoline-3,4'-pyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole] derivatives is described here. The reaction of substituted phenylhydrazine and dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylate with substituted isatin and malononitrile is catalyzed by l-proline to give good-to-excellent yields in water/ethanol (v/v, 1:1) at room temperature.

Abstract
The multicomponent reaction of 5-aminopyrazole derivatives with cyclic 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds and dimethylformamide dimethylacetal (DMFDMA) in DMF at 150 °C under controlled microwave heating afforded regioselectively 8,9-dihydropyrazolo[1,5-a]quinazolin-6(7H)-ones 6 rather than the corresponding dihydropyrazolo[5,1-b]quinazolin-8(5H)-ones 4.

Abstract
A new BiCl3-loaded montmorillonite K10 catalyst has been prepared by solid dispersion method and was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and cyclic voltammetry (CV) measurements. BiCl3 loaded K10 (BiCl3-K10) has been used as solid acid catalyst for the synthesis of azine derivatives from benzophenone hydrazone and ketones/aldehydes by simple physical grinding. This BiCl3-K10 gives an excellent yield with short reaction time and is an inexpensive, easily recyclable catalyst for this reaction.
