Abstract
Gasification with supercritical water is an efficient process that can be used for the valorization of biomass. Lignin is the second most abundant biopolymer in biomass and its conversion is fundamental for future energy and value-added chemicals. In this paper, the supercritical water gasification process of lignin by employing reactive force field molecular dynamics simulations (ReaxFF MD) was investigated. Guaiacyl glycerol-β-guaiacyl ether (GGE) was considered as a lignin model to evaluate the reaction mechanism and identify the components at different temperatures from 1000 K to 5000 K. The obtained results revealed that the reactions and breaking of the lignin model started at 2000 K. At the primary stage of the reaction at 2000 K the β-O-4 bond tends to break into several compounds, forming mainly guaiacol and 1,3-benzodioxole. In particular, 1,3-benzodioxole undergoes dissociation and forms cyclopentene-based ketones. Afterward, dealkylation reaction occurred through hydroxyl radicals of water to form methanol, formaldehyde and methane. Above 2500 K, H2, CO and CO2 are predominantly formed in which water molecules contributed hydrogen and oxygen for their formation. Understanding the detailed reactive mechanism of lignin’s gasification is important for efficient energy conversion of biomass.

Abstract
Microwave-assisted organic transformation (MAOR) is presently gaining wide popularity in the field of organic synthesis. The conventional heating technique is gradually being removed from the laboratory and a novel microwave heating technique established to be used in both academia and industry. As compared to the classical organic methodology, the green technology tools have several advantages like dramatically reduced reaction times, improved yields, site selectivity, and the increased product purities with simplification of work-up procedures. In the current study, we have briefly described the overview of recent developments and applications of microwave irradiation in organic transformation with schematic compiling of the organic reactions, bioactive heterocyclic compounds, and so on. This review also presents a critical analysis of the various advantages of microwave irradiation in organic synthesis/transformation compared to the classical or conventional heating. So, we believe that our current study of the green microwave heating technique will be highly beneficial for the researchers from both academia and industry in their near future.

Abstract
The unprecedented time-dependent long-range supramol-ecular assembly of electron-deficient hexaazatrinaphthylene (HATN) core based on peripheral crowding with three out-of-plane cyclic ketals is reported. The single-crystal X-ray structure of the diethyl derivative provided detailed information as to how four molecules in a repeating unit were packed in order to avoid steric crowding of the out-of-plane cyclic ketal side chain, providing locking and fastening for stabilizing the self-assembled structure. The polarizing optical microscopy (POM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) did not instantaneously show any phase transition upon the cooling process. To our surprise, POM images showed a nucleation of spherulite up to 100 μm after 24 hour later. X-ray diffraction data further confirmed that these soft crystal formed a hexagonal-like crystal. The long-range self-assembly of the new material showed a slight red shift in the UV-vis absorption spectra and further substantiated by computational method.

Abstract
Ten novel methyl 3α-(4-nitrobenzoylhydrazides)-12 α-( L-amino acid carbamates)-cholan-24-oate chiral molecular tweezers based on deoxycholic acid have been easily constructed using microwave irradiation. Their structures were characterised by IR, 1H NMR, MS spectra and elemental analysis and their molecular recognition properties were investigated by UV-Vis spectral titration. The preliminary study indicated that these target compounds possess good selectivity for D/L amino acid methyl esters.
