Abstract
Three new diterpenes were isolated from the stems of Dysoxylum lukii Merr and characterized on the basis of spectral data. Neoclerod-13Z-ene-3α, 4β, 15-triol (3) exhibited the inhibition of lipopolysaccharide-induced nitric oxide production in RAW264.7 macrophages with an IC50 value of 25.49 μM.[Formula: see text].

Abstract
Four new unusual 19-nor-pimarane-type diterpenes were isolated from the tuber of Icacina trichantha (Icacinaceae, Oliv.). The structures were elucidated based on spectroscopic and HRMS analysis. The absolute configurations were determined by electronic circular dichroism. All four compounds are structural analogues of icacinol and humirianthol, but do not demonstrate the same cytotoxic activity. A plausible biogenetic pathway is proposed.

Abstract
From the fruits of the tropical tree Aphanamixis grandifolia, five new evodulone-type limonoids, aphanalides I-M (1-5), one new apo-tirucallane-type triterpenoid, polystanin E (6), and three new chain-like diterpenoids, nemoralisins A-C (7-9), along with 12 known compounds were identified. The absolute configurations were determined by a combination of single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies, Mo2(OAc)4-induced electronic circular dichroism (ECD) data, the Mosher ester method, and calculated ECD data. The cytotoxicities of all the isolates and the insecticidal activities of the limonoids were evaluated.

Abstract
Bioassay-guided fractionation of the hexane extract of the branches of Mitrephora alba led to the isolation of five diterpenoids: ent-8β-hydroxypimar-15-en-18-oic acid, ent-15,16-dihydroxypimar-8(14)-en-18-oic acid, ent-3β-hydroxytrachyloban-18-oic acid, ent-3β-hydroxytrachyloban-18-al and methyl ent-3β-hydroxytrachyloban-18-oate, together with five related known diterpenoids. The structures were elucidated by spectroscopic analysis and comparison with literature data. All isolated compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxic activities against three human cancer cell lines. The results showed that three ent-trachylobane diterpenes had moderate cytotoxicity against NCI-H187 cancer cells.

Abstract
Four new limonoids, dysohainanins A–D (1–4), and two new triterpenoids, dysohainanins E and F (5 and 6), together with seven known ones were isolated from the twigs and leaves of Dysoxylum hainanense Merr. The structures of the new compounds were determined by a variety of spectroscopic methods. The cytotoxic activities of these compounds were evaluated, and the known compound ent-19-nor-4,16,18-trihydroxy-8(14)-pomaren-15-one (13) showed in vitro cytotoxicity against HL-60, A-549, MCF-7, and SW480 cells, with IC50 values of 24.3, 28.1, 30.7, and 22.5 µM, respectively. Compounds 2 and 3 were tested their insecticidal activities using brine shrimp and both of them were inactive.

Abstract
Ten new tirucallane-type triterpenoids, represented by a rearranged skeleton dysolenticin A (1), dysolenticin B (2), a rare trinortriterpenoid dysolenticin C (3), three tirucallane triterpenoid derivatives with a hemiketal moiety dysolenticins D-F (4-6), dysolenticins G-I (7, 9, 10), and the new alkaloid dysolenticin J (12), together with seven known analogues were isolated from the twigs and leaves of Dysoxylum lenticellatum. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic methods, and those of compounds 1, 3, 4, 6, and 10 were confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction experiments. Dysolenticin J (12) showed significant vasodilative effects on intact rat aortic rings with a diastolic degree of 87.4% at 10 μg/mL.

Abstract
One new dimeric diterpenoid, 8(14)-enyl-pimar-2'(3')-en-4'(18')-en-15'(16')-endolabr- 16,15,2',3'-oxoan-16-one (1) and five known terpenoids: Tagalsin C (2), Tagalsin I (3), lup-20(29)-ene-3β,28-diol (4), 3-oxolup-20(29)-en-28-oic acid (5) and 28-hydroxylup- 20(29)-en-3-one (6) were isolated from the roots of the mangrove plant Ceriops tagal. Their structures and relative stereochemistry were elucidated by means of extensive NMR, IR and MS analysis. The antifouling activity against larval settlement of the barnacle Balanus albicostatus were evaluated using capsaicin as a positive control. All these terpenoids exhibited antifouling activity against cyprid larvae of the barnacle without significant toxicity. The structure-activity relationship results demonstrated that the order of antifouling activity was diterpenoid (Compound 2) > triterpenoid (Compounds 4, 5 and 6) > dimeric diterpenoid (Compounds 1 and 3). The functional groups on the C-28 position of lupane triterpenoid significantly affect the antifouling activity. The diterpenoid dimmer with two identical diterpenoid subunits might display more potent antifouling activity than one with two different diterpenoid subunits. The stability test showed that Compounds 2, 4, 5 and 6 remained stable over 2-month exposure under filtered seawater.

Abstract
Two novel rearranged oleanane-type triterpenes, dysoxyhainanin A ( 1) possessing a unique 1,3- cyclo-2,3- seco A ring with a formamido-containing appendage and dysoxyhainanin B ( 2) featuring an unprecedented 1,2-dinor-3,10:9,10- bisseco skeleton, were isolated from Dysoxylum hainanense. Dysoxyhainanin A ( 1) exhibited significant antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria.

Abstract
The new diterpene methoxy-ent-8(14)-pimarenely-15-one (1) and three known metabolites: ent-8(14)-pimarene-15R,16-diol (2), stigmasterol (3) and beta-sitosterol (4), were isolated from the roots of the mangrove plant Ceriops tagal. Their structures and relative stereochemistry were elucidated by means of extensive NMR, IR and MS analysis. Compounds 1, 2, 3 and 4 exhibited significant antifouling activities against cyprid larvae of the barnacle Balanus albicostatus Pilsbry, with EC(50) values of 0.32 +/- 0.01, 0.04 +/- 0.00,4.05 +/- 0.15 and 18.47 +/- 0.40 microg/cm(2), respectively, whereas their toxicities towards cyprids were very low, with LC(50 )values all above 10 microg/cm(2).

Abstract
[structure: see text] A pair of geometrically isomeric monoterpenoid indole alkaloids with a skeleton rearrangement and two additional carbons, named (19,20) E-alstoscholarine (1) and (19,20) Z-alstoscholarine (2), were obtained from the leaf extract of Alstonia scholaris. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic methods and then confirmed by X-ray crystal diffraction. The biogenesis of these compounds was also proposed.

Abstract
NMR spectral data in various solvents (DMSO-d6, CD3OD, C5D5N) for the rare ent-pimar-8(14)-ene-15, 16-diol 3-O-beta-D-glucoside, darutoside, are reported. Complete assignments are made on the basis of 1D and 2D (COSY, HMQC, HMBC, NOESY) spectra.
