Abstract
Employing an intermediate state representation (ISR) approach, Hermitian second-order methods for the calculation of electronic excitation energies are presented and compared in detail. These comprise the algebraic-diagrammatic construction scheme for the polarization propagator, a hybrid second-order ISR scheme based on traditional coupled-cluster theory as well as two similar approaches based on a unitary coupled-cluster (UCC) ansatz. Although in a strict perturbation-theoretical framework all prove to be identical, differences emerge when the corresponding converged cluster amplitudes are used and depending on how the similarity-transformed UCC Hamiltonian is evaluated. The resulting excitation energies, however, do not significantly differ for systems well described by means of perturbation theory.

Abstract
The rotational g-factor and spin-rotation constants of the methylidynium ion CH(+) have been calculated for the first time with a large multiconfigurational self-consistent field wave function and at the coupled-cluster singles and doubles level augmented by a perturbative triples correction. The results for an equilibrium internuclear distance as well as for the v=0, J=1 vibration-rotational state are presented.

Abstract
Four correlated linear response theory methods - the second order polarization propagator approximation (SOPPA), the second order polarization propagator approximation with coupled cluster singles and doubles amplitudes, SOPPA(CCSD), the CC2 and coupled cluster singles doubles (CCSD) linear response theory - were used to determine the dipole oscillator strength sum rules of the hydrogen halides HX (with X = F, Cl, Br and I) and the C6 dispersion coefficient for all pairs of interacting HX molecules via numerical integration of the Casimir-Polder formula. The dependence of the polarizabilities, their frequency dependence and the C6 coefficients on the level of correlation and the dependence of the C6 coefficients on the two intramolecular bond lengths were studied.
