Abstract
In this study, a series of N-functionalized benzimidazole silver(I) complexes were prepared and characterized by FT-IR, 1H, 13C{1H} NMR spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. Synthesized N-benzylbenzimidazole silver(I) complexes were evaluated for their antimicrobial activities against bacteria Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and the fungal strains Candida albicans and Candida glabrata. The results indicated that N-alkylbenzimidazole silver(I) complexes exhibited good antimicrobial activity compared to N-alkylbenzimidazole derivatives. Especially, complex 2e presented perfect antimicrobial activity than the other complexes. The characterized molecules were optimized by DFT-based calculation methods and the optimized molecules were analyzed in detail by molecular docking methods against bacterial DNA-gyrase and CYP51. The amino acid residues detected for both target molecules are consistent with expectations, and the calculated binding affinities and inhibition constants are promising for further studies. A series of N-alkylbenzimidazole silver(I) complexes were synthesized and fully characterized by means of 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and FT-IR spectroscopies. Synthesized N-alkylbenzimidazole silver(I) complexes were investigated for their antimicrobial activities against bacteria Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and the fungal strains Candida albicans and Candida glabrata. All complexes showed better activity according to Ampicilin against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The molecules which were firstly optimized by DFT-based calculation methods were also analyzed by molecular docking methods against DNA gyrase of E. Coli and CYP51. 338 × 190 mm (96 × 96 DPI).

Abstract
An Ag(I) metallacycle obtained unexpectedly during the preparation of Pd(II) complexes of the bifunctional ligand 5-([2,2′-bipyridin]-5-yl)pyrimidine-2-amine (L) has been characterized using X-ray structure determination as a binuclear, metallacyclic species [Ag2L2](SbF6)2, where both the bipyridine and pyrimidine-N donors of L are involved in coordination to the metal. The full coordination environment of the Ag(I) defines a case of highly irregular 4-coordination. In the crystal, the Ag-metallacycles assemble into one-dimensional supramolecular metalladynamers linked together by hydrogen-bonding interactions.

Abstract
Herein, we report the synthesis, characterisation and preliminary biological evaluation of two novel silver(i) complexes of type [AgL2](NO3)3 (3 and 4) with ionic N-donor benzimidazoles. The complexes have been synthesized by the reaction of 1.5 equivalents of silver nitrate and N-donor benzimidazoles containing an imidazolium core at the 2-position (1 and 2) in ethanol. The X-ray analysis of 4 shows that it has two free imidazolium cores and the charge is balanced with three nitrate anions. A study by the combination of NMR, IR, LC-MS and elemental analysis techniques also suggests that the complexes have this structure both in the solid-state and solution. The complexes are highly soluble and stable in water. Cytotoxicity evaluation against four cancerous human cells and one non-cancerous human cell revealed that the complexes have no significant anti-growth effect. However, the complexes showed a remarkable antimicrobial effect at normalized minimum inhibitory concentrations (normalized MICs) in the range of 33-268 μM against a panel of microorganisms consisting of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, and fungi.
