Abstract
Native functionality directed the C-H activation cascade to enable rapid construction of molecular complexity, featuring step-economy and synthetic efficiency. Herein, by exploiting bifunctional α-alcohol haloalkynes, we developed Ru(II)-catalyzed carboxylic acid, amine, and amide assisted divergent C-H alkynylation and annulation cascade, affording polyfunctional heterocycles. Significantly, a bilateral aryl C-H polycyclization cascade of azobenzenes was achieved using the versatile haloalkynes.

Abstract
We report herein a mild procedure for the copper-catalyzed oxidative cross-coupling of electron-deficient polyfluorophenylboronate esters with terminal alkynes. This method displays good functional group tolerance and broad substrate scope, generating cross-coupled alkynyl(fluoro)arene products in moderate to excellent yields. Thus, it represents a simple alternative to the conventional Sonogashira reaction.

Abstract
A three-component reaction from readily available low-cost materials of benzoic acids, formaldehyde, and malonates for the preparation of indanones by rhodium catalysis is reported. The annulation is initiated by an ortho-hydroarylation of benzoic acids, and a Lewis acid is not required. The solvent has a significant influence to the reaction, and 2-substituted or nonsubstituted indanones are obtained by the change of solvent.

Abstract
Biphenylcarboxylic acid with two competing C(sp2)-H sites was designed for site selective C(sp2)-H functionalization by developing carboxylic acids assisted remote and selective olefination via 7-membered palladacycle. Mechanism investigation and DFT calculations reveal a kinetics-determined process, which could be utilized to explore a variety of remote site selectivity. The practicability of this method was highlighted by the precise construction of phenathrene under sequential site selectivity.
