Abstract
A pro-chiral Schiff base ligand (HL) was synthesized by the reaction of 2-amino-2-ethyl-1,3-propanediol and pyridine-2-carbaldehyde in methanol. The reaction of HL with CuCl2·2H2O and CuBr2 in methanol gave neutral mononuclear Cu(II) complexes with general formula of [Cu(HL)Cl2] (1) and [Cu(HL)Br2] (2), respectively. By slow evaporation of the methanolic solutions of 1 and 2, their enantiomers were isolated in crystalline format. The formation of pure chiral crystals in the racemic mixture was amply authenticated by single crystal X-ray analysis, which indicated that S-[Cu(HL)Cl2], R-[Cu(HL)Cl2], and S-[Cu(HL)Br2] are crystallized in chiral P212121 space group of orthorhombic system. Preferential crystallization was used to isolate the R and S enantiomers as single crystals and the isolated compounds were also studied by CD analysis. Structural studies indicated that the origin of the chirality in these compounds is related to the coordination mode of the employed pro-chiral ligand (HL) because one of its carbon atoms has been converted to a chiral center in the synthesized complexes. Subsequently, these complexes were used in click synthesis of a β-hydroxy-1,2,3-triazole and the results of catalytic studies indicated that 1 and 2 can act as enantioselective catalysts for the asymmetric synthesis of β-hydroxy-1,2,3-triazole product under mild condition. This study illustrates the significant capacity of the use of pro-chiral ligands in preparing chiral catalysts based on complexes which can also be considered as an effective approach to cheap chiral catalysts from achiral reagents.

Abstract
A Cu(II) complex, [Cu(HL)(NO3)(CH3OH)]·CH3OH (1), was obtained by the reaction of Cu(NO3)2·3H2O and H2L in methanol solvent (H2L is (E)-4-amino-N'-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylidene)benzohydrazide). H2L and compound 1 were characterized by various spectroscopic analyses and the molecular structure of [Cu(HL)(NO3)(CH3OH)]·CH3OH was determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis. The results indicated the product is a mononuclear Cu(II) complex and contains a free NH2 functional group on the structure of the ligand. [Cu(HL)(NO3)(CH3OH)]·CH3OH was used for the preparation of a heterogeneous catalyst by supporting it on functionalized silica gel. The heterogeneous catalyst (Si-Cu) was prepared by an amidification reaction of [Cu(HL)(NO3)(CH3OH)]·CH3OH with functionalized silica gel. The resulting silica-supported catalyst (Si-Cu) was characterized by TGA, FT-IR, EPR, DRS, EDS, XRD, SEM and XPS analyses. Si-Cu was employed in a carbon-carbon coupling reaction and the effects of the amount of Si-Cu and temperature were investigated in the catalytic coupling. The structure of one of the products of the catalytic reactions (C16H22O2, CP1) was determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis, which proved the formation of a C-C bond and the production of di-acetylene by homocoupling of terminal alkyne. This catalytic system is stable and it can be reused for a coupling reaction without a significant change in its catalytic activity.

Abstract
In this paper, we successfully synthesized a fluorescent hybrid material (f-Silica gel) for the removal and recognition of cations. A Bodipy derivative was used as a source of fluorescent material. The characterization of Bodipy derivative and the modified surfaces were performed by some techniques like NMR, XRD, SEM, and FT-IR. The spectroscopic studies (complex stoichiometry, pH effect, response time) were carried out with fluorescence spectroscopy for the sensitive and selective recognition of Cu (II) ions. The LOD (limit of detection) was calculated as 4.63 μM and the most optimum response time was determined as 25 min. Moreover, the complex interaction between f-Silica gel and Cu (II) ions stables generally in the range of pH: 1-12. f-Silica gel can be also used as a solid support surface to remove Cu (II) ions from the wastewater. The adsorption kinetics and isotherms of Cu (II) on the f-Silica gel were determined with several parameters such as the amount of adsorbent, temperature, and pH. Langmuir adsorption isotherm model was performed for the adsorption of Cu (II) ions and the maximum capacity was found to be 19. 920 mg/g. The kinetic data ensured that the R2 value was obtained as 0.9941 from the kinetic model (pseudo-second-order). Thus, it is very close to the desired value (1) and the value of qe(expe) is very close to the value of qe(calc). The thermodynamic results support the spontaneous, random, and endothermic adsorption process. All results indicated that the hybrid material can be used as both a sensor and an adsorbent for the detection and removal of Cu (II) ions in environmental processes.

Abstract
In this research, we explored the synthesis optimization of the silica-based quaternized adsorption material (SG-VTS-VPQ) and its adsorption behavior for Pu(IV). By optimizing the synthesis process, the grafting amount of 4-vinylpyridine reached 1.25 mmol·g−1. According to the analysis of NMR and XPS, the quaternization rate of pyridine groups reached 91.13%. In the adsorption experiments, the thermodynamic experiment results show that the adsorption of Pu(IV) by SG-VTS-VPQ is more in line with the Langmuir adsorption model and the adsorption type is a typical chemical adsorption; the kinetic results show that adsorption process is more in line with the pseudo first-order kinetic model, and the larger specific surface area of SG-VTS-VPQ plays an important role in the adsorption. The results of the adsorption mechanism show that the adsorption of Pu(IV) by SG-VTS-VPQ is mainly complex anion Pu(NO3)62− and Pu(NO3)5−. This research provides in-depth and detailed ideas for the surface modification and application of porous silica gel, and at the same time provides a new way to develop the direction of the analysis of pretreatment materials in the spent fuel reprocessing field.

Abstract
The copper(I)-catalyzed azide−alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) reaction is considered to be the most representative ligation process within the context of the “click chemistry” concept. This CuAAC reaction, which yields compounds containing a 1,2,3-triazole core, has become relevant in the construction of biologically complex systems, bioconjugation strategies, and supramolecular and material sciences. Although many CuAAC reactions are performed under homogenous conditions, heterogenous copper-based catalytic systems are gaining exponential interest, relying on the easy removal, recovery, and reusability of catalytically copper species. The present review covers the most recently developed copper-containing heterogenous solid catalytic systems that use solid inorganic/organic hybrid supports, and which have been used in promoting CuAAC reactions. Due to the demand for 1,2,3-triazoles as non-classical bioisosteres and as framework-based drugs, the CuAAC reaction promoted by solid heterogenous catalysts has greatly improved the recovery and removal of copper species, usually by simple filtration. In so doing, the solving of the toxicity issue regarding copper particles in compounds of biological interest has been achieved. This protocol is also expected to produce a practical chemical process for accessing such compounds on an industrial scale.

Abstract
A new mononuclear tungsten coordination compound, [WO2L(CH3OH)] (1), was synthesized by the reaction of WCl6 and H2L (H2L = (E)-4-amino-N′-(5-bromo-2-hydroxybenzylidene)benzohydrazide) in methanol. Both the H2L and compound 1 were characterized by elemental analysis and UV-Vis, FT-IR and NMR spectroscopic methods. The molecular structure of compound 1 was also determined by single crystal X-ray analysis which confirmed the compound is a mononuclear coordination compound of cis-dioxidotungsten(vi) containing a free amine functionality on the ligand. Compound 1 was supported on propionyl chloride-functionalized silica gel by amidification reaction to obtain a heterogeneous catalyst. The obtained heterogeneous catalyst was characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), diffuse-reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and its catalytic activity was investigated in the epoxidation of olefins with hydrogen peroxide under solvent free conditions. The catalyst was successfully recovered several times and the recovered catalyst was also characterized by various methods including FT-IR, DRS, TGA, SEM and EDX analyses. The results indicated this heterogeneous catalytic system is an effective and selective catalyst for epoxidation of olefins and can be reused several times without significant change in its catalytic activity. In this study the solvent free catalytic oxidation of olefins by a new silica supported hydrazone-dioxidotungsten(vi) coordination compound is investigated.![]()

Abstract
In this research, the graft modification mechanism of coupling agent vinyl triethoxysilane (KH-151) to macroporous silica gel was studied using a combination of multiple methods. SEM, FTIR, RAMAN, NMR and XPS were used to characterize the silica gel before and after grafting, determining the mechanism of the grafting reaction of the silane coupling agent. On this basis, the grafting rate of the coupling agent was accurately calculated by TGA weight loss. From the results of characterization, it can be seen that the coupling agent molecules have two connection types on the surface of silica gel, and the ratio of the two types is 43.51% and 56.49% respectively. The influences of hydration degree of the silica gel, coupling agent dosage and reaction temperature on the grafting rate were explored, and the optimal reaction conditions for the modification of macroporous silica gel were determined by the coupling agent through orthogonal experiments, that is, the hydration degree of silica gel of 10%, a coupling agent dosage of 12 mL, and a reaction temperature of 80 °C. Under optimal reaction conditions, the average grafting rate of the coupling agent vinyl triethoxysilane (KH-151) on macroporous silica gel is as high as 91.03%. Abstract
Copper(I)-catalyzed 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition between organic azides and terminal alkynes, commonly known as CuAAC or click chemistry, has been identified as one of the most successful, versatile, reliable, and modular strategies for the rapid and regioselective construction of 1,4-disubstituted 1,2,3-triazoles as diversely functionalized molecules. Carbohydrates, an integral part of living cells, have several fascinating features, including their structural diversity, biocompatibility, bioavailability, hydrophilicity, and superior ADME properties with minimal toxicity, which support increased demand to explore them as versatile scaffolds for easy access to diverse glycohybrids and well-defined glycoconjugates for complete chemical, biochemical, and pharmacological investigations. This review highlights the successful development of CuAAC or click chemistry in emerging areas of glycoscience, including the synthesis of triazole appended carbohydrate-containing molecular architectures (mainly glycohybrids, glycoconjugates, glycopolymers, glycopeptides, glycoproteins, glycolipids, glycoclusters, and glycodendrimers through regioselective triazole forming modular and bio-orthogonal coupling protocols). It discusses the widespread applications of these glycoproducts as enzyme inhibitors in drug discovery and development, sensing, gelation, chelation, glycosylation, and catalysis. This review also covers the impact of click chemistry and provides future perspectives on its role in various emerging disciplines of science and technology.
