Abstract
Diuron (DR) as a chemical herbicide persists in soil and water for a long time and causes extensive harm to humans. We have produced an excellent monoclonal antibody (mAb) with the ability to sensitively and specifically recognize DR in water and sugarcane samples. The semi-inhibitory concentration (IC50) of this mAb was 0.28 ng mL-1, and the limit of detection (LOD) was 0.07 ng mL-1. Based on the mAb, an immunochromatographic assay (ICA) strip was developed. The visual detection limits of the strip assay were estimated, and the critical values of DR in water and sugarcane samples were determined to be 5 and 10 ng mL-1, respectively, when assessed by the naked eye. The ICA strip was validated by HPLC-MS for water and sugarcane samples which had been spiked with DR. This ICA strip could be a useful tool for in-site and rapid detection of DR in water and sugarcane samples.

Abstract
tert-Butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) residues in foods pose a threat to human health. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a rapid method for TBHQ detection. In this study, a sensitive monoclonal antibody 5C3 (IgG2a subclass) against TBHQ was produced. It possessed a half maximal inhibitory concentration of 7.43 ng mL-1. A gold nanoparticle-based immunochromatographic assay (ICA) was established for the rapid and sensitive screening of TBHQ in soybean oil. Qualitative analysis results were obtained within 10 min and observed with the naked eye. The visual limit of detection (LOD) was 50 ng g-1 and the cut-off value was 1000 ng g-1. A hand-held strip reader was used for quantitative analysis, in which the calculated LOD was defined as 18.68 ng g-1. The average recoveries of TBHQ ranged from 89.55% ± 2.70% to 100.66% ± 3.02% for soybean oil, with a coefficient of variation of 2.89%-7.05%. Therefore, our developed ICA is a useful tool for the rapid and on-site detection of TBHQ in real food samples.

Abstract
Abstract
As a typical triazole fungicide, penconazole (PEN) is widely used in agriculture but has been proven to be toxic. In this study, we designed a new hapten to prepare a highly sensitive and specific anti-PEN monoclonal antibody (mAb) and established a gold nanoparticle-based lateral-flow immunoassay (LFIA) for the detection of PEN residues in watermelon and cucumber. The 50% inhibitory concentration (IC50) of the mAb was 0.42 ng/mL and the LFIA strip had a visual limit of detection (vLOD) of 2.5 ng/g and a cut-off value of 10 ng/g in watermelon and cucumbers. The calculated limit of detection (LOD) of the LFIA strip was 0.36 ng/g for watermelon and 0.29 ng/g for cucumber. The LFIA strip also gave a recovery rate of 92.5–109.0% for watermelon samples and 92.5–106.7% for cucumber samples. These results using the LFIA strip are highly consistent with those seen using LC-MS/MS. Thus our developed LFIA strip represents a potentially reliable tool for the rapid on-site screening for PEN in watermelons and cucumbers..

Abstract
Based on a murine monoclonal antibody (mAb) against tiamulin (TML), an electrochemical immunosensor was proposed using silver-graphene oxide (Ag-GO) nanocomposites and gold nanocomposites (AuNPs) to detect tiamulin (TML). Due to the synergetic properties of Ag-GO nanocomposites and AuNPs, the conductivity of the immunosensor was significantly enhanced. On account of the specific mAb and conductive nanocomposites, the proposed electrochemical immunosensor exhibited a low LOD of 0.003 ng mL-1 for the detection of TML in a wide linear range of 0.01 to 1000 ng mL-1. In addition, the immunosensor did not involve additional redox species. Furthermore, the efficient and simple electrochemical immunosensor was employed to detect TML in real samples with high accuracy, suggesting a potential detection platform for other veterinary antibiotics in animal derived foods.

Abstract
Tiamulin (TML) is a pleuromutilin antibiotic and mainly used to treat pulmonary and gastrointestinal infections. However, excessive use of TML can bring health threats to consumers. In this work, a label-free electrochemical immunosensor was proposed for sensitive detection of TML in pork and pork liver. Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were synthesized in situ on graphene oxide (GO), in which GO acted as a carrier for loading more AgNPs and AgNPs exhibited both strong conductivity and good redox property. In addition, staphylococcal protein A (SPA) was applied to oriented immobilization of fragment crystallizable (Fc) region of the TML monoclonal antibody. Under the optimal condition, the developed electrochemical immunosensor exhibited a good linear response with a concentration of TML ranging from 0.05 ng mL-1 to 100 ng mL-1 and the limit of detection (LOD) was 0.04 ng mL-1. Furthermore, the designed immunosensor was applied to detect TML in real samples with a good accuracy. Therefore, the label-free electrochemical immunosensor could be used as a potential method to detect TML and other antibiotic residues in animal derived foods.

Abstract
Fentanyl is a typical opioid that is used in surgical anesthesia. However, when abused, fentanyl can lead to addiction and even death. To better control the use of fentanyl, it is necessary to develop rapid and sensitive detection methods. In this study, an ultrasensitive monoclonal antibody (mAb) was prepared and used to develop an indirect competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ic-ELISA) and a colloidal gold-based immunochromatographic strip (CG-ICS) for the analysis of fentanyl in urine and serum. Under optimum conditions, the anti-fentanyl mAb belonging to the subtype of IgG2b showed a half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) of 0.11 ng mL-1 and a linear range of detection of 0.020-0.50 ng mL-1. Fenanyl-spiked original urine and serum diluted eight times were used for the analysis of fentanyl by ic-ELISA and CG-ICS. IC50 from the standard curves was 0.46 ng mL-1 for urine and 2.6 ng mL-1 for serum in ic-ELISA and 1.6 ng mL-1 for urine and 6.27 ng mL-1 for serum in CG-ICS. The recovery test revealed that the ic-ELISA and CG-ICS, with a recovery rate of 87.0-108.4% and a coefficient of variation of 3.3-10.9%, were the same reliable tools as the liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry for fentanyl analysis in real samples.

Abstract
Valnemulin (VAL) and tiamulin (TIA) are pleuromutilin antibiotics used primarily for treating bacterial infections in swine or other food animals. Furthermore, VAL and TIA are also employed as feed additives to promote animal growth. However, the illegal use of VAL and TIA could cause a series of hazards to consumers. Here, VAL was designed to be conjugated with bovine serum protein to prepare immunogen. A highly sensitive monoclonal antibody that recognized both VAL and TIA has been successfully produced. Moreover, an immunochromatographic strip assay for rapidly screening VAL and TIA in porcine liver was established with visual detection limits (cutoff values) of 50 and 25 ng/g, respectively. The IC50 values calculated from the equation of the standard curve were 6.06 and 3.45 ng/g and the limits of detection were 0.96 and 0.29 ng/g for VAL and TIA. According to the recovery experiment results, the test strip exhibited acceptable accuracy and precision. Generally, the proposed strip provided a practical tool for the detection of VAL and TIA. PRACTICAL APPLICATION: We produced a highly sensitive monoclonal antibody and developed an immunoassay strip for simultaneously monitoring TIA and VAL. Additionally it was preliminarily confirmed that the rapid detection tool was suitable for screening TIA and VAL in porcine liver.

Abstract
Mouse-mouse hybridoma cell lines producing stable, highly specific monoclonal antibodies with good affinity for the cardiac glycoside digoxin (DIG) were established to construct an indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and lateral-flow immunochromatographic strip to detect DIG in human blood. The hapten DIG was coupled to bovine serum albumin or chicken ovalbumin by sodium periodate oxidation. The highest sensitivity and specificity antibody had a median inhibitory concentration (IC50) of 0.45 ng/mL, a linear range of detection of 0.293-0.7 ng/mL, and low cross-reactivity with several DIG analogues. The cut-off value of the lateral-flow immunochromatographic strip was 5 ng/mL when the strip was tested with human blood. The immunochromatographic lateral flow strip test provides a quick and convenient method for determining DIG in plasma which can be visually observed in only 5 min to promote rational drug use.

Abstract
Lincosamides (LMs), include clindamycin (CLIN), lincomycin (LIN), and pirlimycin (PIR), that are widely used as veterinary drugs. LM residues in edible animal origin foods endanger human health and are in urgent need of establishing fast, simple, and highly sensitive detection methods. A gold immunochromatographic strip is prepared to detect CLIN, LIN, and PIR residues simultaneously with a single monoclonal antibody. This antibody is obtained with the design of a novel Hapten and can simultaneously recognize CLIN, LIN, and PIR. Under optimized conditions, the strip results can be semi-quantitatively evaluated with the naked eye within 15 min, with cut-off values in phosphate-buffered saline of 1 ng mL-1 for CLIN, 10 ng mL-1 for LIN, and 25 ng mL-1 for PIR, respectively. Besides, the strip can also be quantified using a hand-held strip scanner, and the spiked samples are used for establishing matrix curves. The limits of detection for CLIN, LIN, and PIR in spiked milk, egg, beef, and honey samples can satisfy the detection requirement. The utility of this strip is also confirmed by positive honey sample. In short, this strip should be expected to be a useful tool for the rapid on-site screening of lincosamide residues in milk, egg, beef, and honey samples.
