Abstract
A rigid nicotinate-modified lanthanide-substituted selenotungstate [H2N(CH3)2]6Na3H[La4SeW8(H2O)16(nica)2O28][SeW9O33]2·32H2O (1, Hnica = nicotinic acid) was synthesized and consists of two trivacant Keggin [B-α-SeW9O33]8- fragments and one unusual [SeW4O18]8- fragment bridged by a heterometallic [La4W4(H2O)16(nica)2O28]18- cluster. In the heterometallic cluster, two carboxyl O atoms in two nicotinate ligands directly coordinate with two W atoms in a stable C-O-W-O-W-O six-membered ring fashion. According to its catalase-like activity, 1 was utilized to catalyze the oxidation of 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) by H2O2 to produce blue oxidized TMB (ox-TMB), which can be used to establish a colorimetric sensing method for the detection of ascorbic acid. This work not only provides a promising platform for detecting H2O2 and ascorbic acid but also expands the application potential of polyoxometalate-based materials in biological and clinical analyses.

Abstract
Lacunary polyoxometalates (LPOMs) are key precursors for the synthesis of functional POMs. To date, reviews dedicated to behavioral studies of LPOMs often comprise the role of metal ions, including transition metal (TM) and rare earth (RE) ions, in extending and stability of high-nuclearity clusters. In contrast, the role of organic ligands in the structures and properties of lacunary-based hybrids has remained less explored. In this review, we focus on the role of organic fragments in the self-assembling process of POM-based architectures and discuss relationships between the nature and structure of organic ligand and properties such as the topology of hybrid inorganic–organic material in RE and TM-RE heterometallic derivatives of lacunary Keggin-type POMs. The effects of organic fragment in mixed ligand hybrids are also briefly reviewed.

Abstract
In the present work, an attempt has been made to induce chirality in copper-substituted phosphotungstate (PW11Cu) by functionalization with (S)-(+)-1-phenylethylamine (S-PEA) via a ligand substitution approach. The formation of a N→Cu dative bond was confirmed by 13C NMR, while 1H NMR, circular dichroism spectroscopy and optical rotation studies confirmed the introduction of chirality to the Keggin structure. The synthesized material was used as the heterogeneous catalyst for the asymmetric epoxidation of styrene using various green oxidants to obtain high enantiomeric excess (ee), and the reaction with molecular oxygen was found to give the best ee. Regeneration studies were carried out, and the catalyst was found to be suitable for the same. A probable mechanism is also proposed. A comparison with other copper-based polyoxometalate catalysts clearly demonstrate the superiority and novelty of the present catalyst in terms of the reaction conditions as well as the obtained ee.

Abstract
We present a simple, versatile, and low-cost approach for the preparation of surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS)-active regions within a microfluidic channel 50 cm in length. The approach involves the UV-light-driven formation of polyoxometalate-decorated gold nanostructures, Au@POM (POM: H3PW12O40 (PW) and H3PMo12O40 (PMo)), that self-assemble in situ on the surface of the polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microchannels without any extra functionalization procedure. The fabricated LoCs were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), UV-vis, Raman, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) techniques. The SERS activity of the resulting Au@POM-coated lab-on-a-chip (LoC) devices was evaluated in both static and flow conditions using rhodamine R6G. The SERS response of Au@PW-based LoCs was found to be superior to Au@PMo counterparts and outstanding when compared to reported data on metal@POM nanocomposites. We demonstrate the potentialities of both Au@POM-coated LoCs as analytical platforms for real-time detection of the organophosphorous pesticide paraoxon-methyl at 10-6 M concentration level.

Abstract
A series of 12 inorganic-organic hybrid 4f-substituted arsenotungstates decorated with 3d-based complexes along with acetate bridging, viz. {[Cu2(H2O)(1,10-phen)2(μ-CH3COO)2]4[Ln2(H2O)2(μ-CH3COO)2(α-AsW11O39)2]}2- (LnIII = Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu), have been synthesized. These compounds were isolated using a one-pot synthetic strategy with copper, lanthanoid, trilacunary arsenotungstate and 1,10-phenanthroline as precursors. They were characterized using various analytical techniques, such as single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SC-XRD), powder XRD (PXRD), Fourier transform IR (FT-IR) spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). In all these compounds, a dinuclear Ln2(ac)2 moiety is sandwiched between two monolacunary [AsW11O39]7- polyoxometalates (POMs), where the Ln2(ac)2 moiety is comprised of two acetate ligands in a μ-κO,O':κO fashion. Moreover, the anion is decorated by a copper-phenanthroline-acetate complex through a terminal O atom of the polyanion.

Abstract
Seven compounds based on [P2W18O62]6- ({P2W18}) were successfully prepared and carefully characterized. [HC5H5N][Cu(2,2'-bpy)2]2[HP2W18O62]·2H2O (bpy = bipyridine) (1) is constructed from {P2W18} bridged by [Cu(2,2'-bpy)2]2+. [HC5H5N][Zn(2,2'-bpy)2]2[HP2W18O62]·4H2O (1a) is isostructural and isomorphous with compound 1. [Cu4(2,2'-bpy)3(nic)3(OH)2(H2O)][H3P2W18O62]·0.5H2O (nic = nicotinic acid) (2) is formed by {P2W18} and tetracopper transition metal mixed organic ligand complexes (TMMCs). [Cu2(2,2'-bpy)2(C2O4)]3[P2W18O62]·3H2O (3) is made up of {P2W18} and bicopper TMMCs, [Cu6(2,2'-bpy)6(OH)6][P2W18O62]·2H2O (4) is built up from {P2W18}, and hexacopper complexes of 2,2'-bpy and hydroxyls. [Cu(2,2'-bpy)(hnic)0.5][Cu3(2,2'-bpy)3(hnic)2(H2O)2][H3P2W18O62] (hnic = hydroxyl nicotinic acid) (5a) contains two different TMMCs. In addition, compound 5a is the first example of a compound that contains Cu-π interactions. [Cu2(2,2'-bpy)2(hnic)][H4P2W18O62]· xH2O ( x ≈ 50) (5b) is based on {P2W18} and [Cu2(2,2'-bpy)2(hnic)]2+. We discuss the mechanisms for the formations of these compounds. All the catalytic performances of the compounds for styrene epoxidation to styrene oxide are high.

Abstract
AbstractA bisupporting Keggin-type polyoxometalate compound, {[CuII(phen)2]2[(HBW12O40)]}[CuIICl2(phen)]2· 2H2O (phen=1,10-phenathroline) (1), has been synthesized through the hydrothermal method and characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, UV/Vis/NIR spectroscopy, and powder and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The bisupporting Keggin-polyoxometalate consists of one Keggin-type [HBW12O40]4−core and two covalently linked copper(II) complex fragments [Cu(phen)2]2+. In the crystal structure π···π interactions, C–H···Cl, O–H···Cl, O–H···O and C–H···O hydrogen bonds lead to a three-dimensional supramolecular structure.

Abstract
Six new organic-inorganic hybrid compounds based on [XM12O40](4-) (X = heteroatom, M = metal atom), namely [Cu(pic)2][H2XM12O40]·2Hapy·2apy (X = Si, M = W for , X = Ge, M = W for and X = Si, M = Mo for ), [Cu(2,2'-bpy)2][Cu(2,2'-bpy)(H2O)][Cu(pic)2]0.5[XM12O40]·nH2O (X = Si, M = Mo, n = 0.5 for , X = Ge, M = W, n = 1 for ) and [Cu(phen)(H2O)]2[Cu(pic)2][GeW12O40]·2.5H2O () (pic = deprotonated picolinic acid, apy = 2-aminopyridine, 2,2'-bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine, phen = phenanthroline), have been synthesized and characterized by IR, UV-Vis, XRD, cyclic voltammetric measurements and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Single crystal X-ray analysis reveals that compounds are isomorphous and isostructural, in which each is based on [H2XM12O40](2-) and [Cu(pic)2]. Compounds and are also isomorphous and isostructural, of which the structures are more interesting than those of compounds . Both structures are constructed from [XM12O40](4-) and metal mixed-organic-ligand complexes. Compound is also constructed from Keggin ions and metal mixed-organic-ligand complexes, which are, however, thoroughly different from those of compounds and . The photodegradation properties of compounds have been analyzed. Compounds also exhibit rapid absorption properties for RhB (Rhodamine B). Detailed analysis of the photodegradation properties of compounds reveals that the molybdate POM has stronger degradation ability for RhB than the tungstate one.

Abstract
A new approach to merge Cu-catalysis/Ru-photocatalysis within one single MOF was achieved by incorporating [SiW11O39Ru(H2O)]5– into Cu–BPY MOFs.
The direct formation of new C–C bonds through photocatalytic oxidative coupling from low reactive sp3 C–H bonds using environmentally benign and cheap oxygen as oxidant is an important area in sustainable chemistry. By incorporating the photoredox catalyst [SiW11O39Ru(H2O)]5– into the pores of Cu-based metal–organic frameworks, a new approach for merging Cu-catalysis/Ru-photocatalysis within one single MOF was achieved. The direct CuII–O–W(Ru) bridges made the two metal catalyses being synergetic, enabling the application on the catalysis of the oxidative coupling C–C bond formation from acetophenones and N-phenyl-tetrahydroisoquinoline with excellent conversion and size-selectivity. The method takes advantage of visible light photoredox catalysis to generate iminium ion intermediate from N-phenyl-tetrahydroisoquinoline under mild conditions and the easy combination with Cu-catalyzed activation of nucleophiles. Control catalytic experiments using similar Cu-based sheets but with the photoredox catalytic anions embedded was also investigated for comparison.

Abstract
A dimeric Keggin polyoxometalate, [Cu(bpy)(μ2-OH)]4[(H2O)(bpy)2HPW11Cu2O39]2·2CH3CH2OH·10H2O (1), constructed from two dicopper(II)-substituted monovacant Keggin polyoxoanions bridged by a Cu4 cluster, has been hydrothermally synthesized. Magnetic analysis indicates predominantly an antiferromagnetic interaction between copper(II) centers. Compound 1 also shows very high catalytic activity for the esterification of phosphoric acid with equimolar lauryl alcohol to monoalkyl phosphate ester.

Abstract
A new layered molybdenum cobalt phosphate, Na(2)[Co(H(2)O)(6)][(Mo(16)O(32))Co(16)(PO(4))(4) (HPO(4))(16)(H(2)PO(4))(4)(OH)(4)(C(10)H(8)N(2))(4)(C(5)H(4)N)(2)(H(2)O)(6)]·4H(2)O (1), has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized. 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a = 15.6825(18) Å, b = 39.503(4) Å, c = 17.2763(17) Å, β = 93.791(2)°, V = 10679.4(18) Å(3), and Z = 2. A polyoxoanion of 1 exhibits an unusual organic-inorganic hybrid wheel-type cluster, in which two pyridine ligands link to the surface Co(II) atoms of a [H(24)(Mo(16)O(32))Co(16)(PO(4))(24)(OH)(4)(H(2)O)(6)] (namely, {Mo(16)Co(16)P(24)}) wheel via the Co-N bonds. Furthermore, each {Mo(16)Co(16)P(24)} wheel is connected to four adjacent wheels by four pairs of 4,4'-bipyridine linkers, forming a 2D layered network. The susceptibility measurement shows the existence of dominant antiferromagnetic interactions in 1.
