Abstract
A novel Ru(III)-containing tungstoantimonate Na16H22[(B-β-SbW9O33)6(W3RuO7)2(W4O11)]·118H2O (1) hexamer was successfully synthesized using the hydrothermal synthesis method. Analysis by single-crystal X-ray diffraction revealed that the polyanion comprises six trivacant Keggin-type [B-β-SbW9O33]9- units interconnected by six {WO6} and six Ru/W disorder octahedra, resulting in an intriguing cyclohexane boat-like conformation. Compound 1 exhibits favorable proton conductivity, with a measured conductivity (σ) of 5.41 × 10-3 S cm-1 at 333 K and 55% relative humidity (RH). The activation energy (Ea) of compound 1 was determined to be 0.40 eV, providing evidence that its proton conductivity conforms to the Grotthus mechanism.

The
unprecedented heptavanadate cluster has been isolated from
reactions between trisalkoxide ligands and vanadate in water at pH
= 2 as a series of alkylammonium [HxV7O18(H2O)((OCH2)3CR)](4–x)- salts (1–3, R = CH2OH; 4, R = CH3). Their structures have been determined and the partial stability
of 4 in water assessed by a combination of multinuclear
NMR spectroscopy and ESI-MS. The heptavanadate unit reported herein
could represent an intermediate species in the formation of decavanadate
that is blocked by attachment of tripodal ligands. The elusive heptavanadate anion has been isolated from the
reaction between trisalkoxide ligands and a vanadate source in acidic
aqueous solution. A series of alkylammonium salts of the monofunctionalized
[HxV7O18(H2O)((OCH2)3CR)](4−x)− anion (1−3, R = CH2OH; 4, R = CH3) has been structurally characterized.
The partial stability of the hybrid anion in water has been addressed
by a combination of multinuclear NMR spectroscopy and ESI-MS, which
reveals that the nude heptavanadate core rapidly rearranges into the
well-known decavanadate anion.

Abstract
Abstract
The new supramolecular compound [Fe2(AsMo7O27)2](H2en)2(NH4)8·6H2O (1) (en = ethylenediamine) has been synthesized in aqueous solution and characterized by elemental analysis, thermal analysis, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The structural analysis has revealed that 1 represents the first example of a polyoxometalate-based sandwich-type supramolecular hybrid constructed from hexalacunary building blocks. Owing to the presence of ethylenediammonium cations, the [Fe2(AsMo7O27)2]12– units are stabilized by multiple circular hydrogen bonds extending the structure into a 2D supramolecular framework. The magnetic properties and antitumor activities of 1 have also been studied.

Abstract
Premium polyoxometalates! The organic functionalization of 3 d-metalsubstituted polyoxometalates and the synthesis of new metal-oxo clusters with accessible 3 d- and 4 f-metal centers suitable for organic derivatization are discussed in this thesis. A total number of 39 compounds were structurally characterized, and their luminescent and magnetic properties analyzed. The solution behavior was studied by NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and light-scattering techniques.
