Abstract
A one-pot, sequential three-component reaction between salicylaldehyde, indole, and 2-bromoprop-2-ene-1-sulfonyl fluoride (BPESF) has been demonstrated for the synthesis of sulfonyl fluoride substituted 4H-chromene derivatives in moderate to excellent yields (45%-94%). This one-pot sequential method features easily available starting materials, wide substrate scope, mild conditions, and great efficiency.

Abstract
A DMAP-catalyzed sequential benzannulation and lactonization strategy in which δ-acetoxy allenoate functions as a 5C-synthon in its reaction with cyclic sulfamidate imines is reported. This platform delivers π-extended coumarin frameworks under metal-free conditions via allylic elimination followed by Mannich coupling, proton shifts, C-N bond cleavage, and lactonization as key steps. The driving force for this domino reaction is the formation of the diene-ammonium intermediate and O-S bond cleavage. ESI-HRMS has been useful in gaining insights into the reaction pathway.

Abstract
ortho-Quinone methides (o-QMs) underwent formal [4 + 2]-cycloaddition reactions with arylallenes regioselectively at the styrenyl olefin to furnish the corresponding 3-methylene-2-arylchromans in moderate to good yields (up to 88%). When R ≠ H, the reactions also proceeded with moderate stereoselectivity (up to 5:1) which was governed by the nature of the R group. The 3-methylene-2-arylchromans could serve as common intermediates for further functionalization including epoxidation, oxidative cleavage/Baeyer-Villiger oxidation, Riley oxidation, acid-catalyzed rearrangement, and Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions to furnish the corresponding derivatives in moderate to good yields.

Abstract
An efficient and simple approach has been developed for the synthesis of unprecedented 4,5-diphosphonyldihydropyridazines and 3,4-diphosphonylpyrroles, through the condensation of bisphosphonylallenes with hydrazines and primary amines, respectively. The reactions proceed under operationally simple, mild, and catalyst-free conditions, for a wide substrate scope. The synthesized compounds were screened for their antiproliferative activity against melanoma cancer cells, and they showed promising growth inhibition.

Abstract
In this work, an unprecedented synthesis of (2 H-chromen-2-ylidene)acetates and (2 H-chromen-2-ylidene)ethanones with controlled stereoselectivity via Pd-catalyzed cascade reactions of 3-(2-(2,2-dibromovinyl)phenoxy)acrylates or 3-(2-(2,2-dibromovinyl)phenoxy)enones with aryl boronic acids has been established. This protocol combines two C-C bond forming reactions (an intermolecular Suzuki coupling followed by an intramolecular Heck coupling) in one pot under the catalysis of the same catalyst. Compared with literature methods for the preparation of 2 H-chromene derivatives, it has advantages such as easily obtainable or commercially available substrates, diverse substitution pattern of products, simple procedure, and excellent stereoselectivity. Interestingly, this cascade reaction could distinguish the subtle difference of the electron-withdrawing capacity and the size of various functional groups and thus resulted in a different chemoselectivity. In addition, the utility of the (2 H-chromen-2-ylidene)acetate thus obtained was showcased by its facile transformation into the synthetically and photophysically significant 3 H-xanthen-3-one derivative.

Abstract
The hallmark of nucleophilic phosphine catalysis is the initial nucleophilic addition of a phosphine to an electrophilic starting material, producing a reactive zwitterionic intermediate, generally under mild conditions. In this Review, we classify nucleophilic phosphine catalysis reactions in terms of their electrophilic components. In the majority of cases, these electrophiles possess carbon-carbon multiple bonds: alkenes (section 2), allenes (section 3), alkynes (section 4), and Morita-Baylis-Hillman (MBH) alcohol derivatives (MBHADs; section 5). Within each of these sections, the reactions are compiled based on the nature of the second starting material-nucleophiles, dinucleophiles, electrophiles, and electrophile-nucleophiles. Nucleophilic phosphine catalysis reactions that occur via the initial addition to starting materials that do not possess carbon-carbon multiple bonds are collated in section 6. Although not catalytic in the phosphine, the formation of ylides through the nucleophilic addition of phosphines to carbon-carbon multiple bond-containing compounds is intimately related to the catalysis and is discussed in section 7. Finally, section 8 compiles miscellaneous topics, including annulations of the Hüisgen zwitterion, phosphine-mediated reductions, iminophosphorane organocatalysis, and catalytic variants of classical phosphine oxide-generating reactions.

Abstract
AbstractIn this paper, we review some of our results on cycloaddition and cyclization reactions of allenylphosphonates/and allenyl phosphine oxides. Thus nitro-substituted propargylic alcohols react with P(III)–Cl substrates to lead to unprecedented phosphono-benzazepines or -hydroxyindolinones. A similar reaction using a higher stoichiometry of P(III)–Cl precursor has led to the first observation of spontaneous resolution by crystallization in allene chemistry. In the reaction of these phosphorus based allenes with diphenyl isobenzofuran (DPBF), depending on the substituents, both [α, β] and [β, γ]-cycloaddition products are formed. Extension of this work to sulfur based allenes and leading to a new [4+2] cycloadduct with DPBF is reported. A novel cyclization reaction of a functionalized allenylphosphine oxide with diethylamine leading to 3-diethylamino-4-diphenylphosphinoyl-1-naphthol is discovered. Base-catalyzed reactions of allenylphosphonates with 2-substituted benzaldehdes lead to novel thiochromans, chromenes, and quinolines. Allenylphosphonates undergo phosphonylation in the presence of tetrabutyl ammonium fluoride (TBAF). Vinyl azides derived from allenylphosphonates undergo thermolysis to form bis-phosphonopyrazines. [Pd]-catalyzed reactions of allenes with 2-iodophenols, 2-iodobenzyl alcohol and 3-iodo-indole-2-carboxylic acids lead to a variety of benzofurans, benzopyrans and benzopyranones, respectively.

The cesium carbonate-mediated reaction of 2-bromoallyl sulfones and ortho-hydroxychalcones furnished 3-arylsulfonyl-4H-chromene derivatives in 58–67% yield (18 examples). 2-Bromoallyl sulfones functioned as synthetic surrogates for allenyl sulfones in the reaction.

Abstract
We disclose here the first palladium-catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura couplings of aryl ethers functionalized allenylphosphine oxides with arylboronic acids. This new methodology with α-allenyl ethers as starting materials provides a novel approach to generate phosphinoyl 1,3-butadienes and derivatives with medium to excellent yields. The reaction tolerates a variety of functional groups to afford ranges of structurally diverse substituted phosphionyl 1,3-butadienes. For unsymmetrical allene substrates, high stereospecific additions to give E-isomers are usually observed. On the basis of the known palladium and allene chemistry, a mechanism is proposed.

Abstract
A range of phosphinoylindoles was prepared in one-pot from functionalized propargyl alcohols and a suitable P(III) precursor via a base-mediated reaction. The reaction proceeds via the intermediacy of allenylphosphine oxides. Similarly, phosphinoylisocoumarins were prepared from allenylphosphine oxides in a trifluoroacetic acid-mediated reaction; the latter also acts as a solvent. Interestingly, in the presence of wet trifluoroacetic acid, in addition to phosphinoylisocoumarins, phosphorus-free isocoumarins were also obtained. Key products were characterized by single crystal X-ray crystallography.
