Abstract
According to UV-vis spectroscopy (0.10 mM, CH2Cl2 at 25 °C), the catalyst transformation (which could possibly include ligand dissociation with active catalyst formation, dimer formation, and decomposition) rate constants (k obs) of Grubbs' first (1) and second (2) generation catalysts are 7.48 × 10-5 and 1.52 × 10-4 s-1, respectively. From 31P NMR (0.1 M, CD2Cl2, at 25 °C), the catalyst transformation was 5.1% for 1 and 16.5% for 2 after 72 h. However, due to the larger concentrations of the NMR samples compared to the UV-vis samples, the extent of transformation did not correspond. The oxidation potential of the RuII/RuIII couple of 2 (E°' = 27.5 mV at v = 200 mV s-1) was considerably lower than that of 1 (E°' = 167 mV at v = 200 mV s-1). In the case of 1, a second reduction peak appeared at slow scan rates. This may probably be ascribed to an electrochemically active compound that was formed from the intermediate cation 1 •+ and the subsequent reduction of the latter. The oxidation/reduction of 1 proceeds according to an ErCi electrochemical mechanism (Er = electrochemically reversible step, Ci = chemically irreversible step), whereas 2 proceeds according to an ErCr electrochemical mechanism (Er = electrochemically reversible step, Ci = chemically reversible step).

Abstract
Chiral phosphoric acid-catalyzed couplings of C-alkynyl N,N'-di-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-aminals with β-naphthols led to chiral propargylamines in moderate to high yields with high to excellent enantioselectivity, in which the reactions underwent sequential chiral phosphoric acid-catalyzed in situ formation of N-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-imines (N-Boc-imines) from the aminals, and 1,2-addition of β-naphthols to the N-Boc-imines. Chiral 1,2-dihydronaphtho[2,1-b]furans and naphtho[2,1-b]furans were prepared with satisfactory results when 10 mol% AgOAc and 20 mol% 2,6-lutidine or 1.2 equiv. of 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene (DBU) were added to the resulting chiral propargylamines solution, respectively.

Abstract
Propargylamines are important classes of alkyne coupled amine compounds used in heterocyclic chemistry and pharmaceuticals chemistry and have a large impact as a pharmacophore used in medicinal chemistry. One of the straightforward approaches for the synthesis of this class of compound is A3 coupling, a three-component coupling reaction among aldehyde, alkyne (terminal acetylene) and amine. However, there are many methods other than conventional three component alkyne–aldehyde–amine (A3) coupling which have also been reported for the synthesis of propargylamine. Most of these methods are based on the metal catalyzed activation of terminal alkyne. From the perspective of green and sustainable chemistry, the scientific community should necessarily focus on metal-free techniques which can access a variety of propargylamines. There are only a few reports found in the literature where propargylamines were successfully synthesized under metal-free conditions. This present review article neatly and precisely encompasses the comprehensive study of metal-free protocols in propargylamine synthesis putting forth their mechanisms and other aspects. Abstract
The five-membered, nitrogen-containing pyrroline ring is a privileged structure. This ring is present in many bioactive compounds from natural sources. Pyrrolines-the dihydro derivatives of pyrroles-have three structural isomer classes, depending on the location of the double bond: 1-pyrrolines (3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrroles), 2-pyrrolines (2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrroles) and 3-pyrrolines (2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrroles). This review aims to describe the latest advances for the synthesis of pyrrolines by transition metal-catalyzed cyclizations. Only reactions in which the pyrroline ring is formed by metal promotion are described. Transformations of the pyrroline ring in other heterocycles, and the structural manipulations of the pyrroline itself are not discussed. The review is organized into three parts, each covering the metal-mediated synthesis of the three pyrroline isomers. Each part is subdivided according to the metal involved, and concludes with a brief description of notable biological activities within the class.

Abstract
Propargylamines are a versatile class of compounds which find broad application in many fields of chemistry. This review aims to describe the different strategies developed so far for the synthesis of propargylamines and their derivatives as well as to highlight their reactivity and use as building blocks in the synthesis of chemically relevant organic compounds. In the first part of the review, the different synthetic approaches to synthesize propargylamines, such as A3 couplings and C-H functionalization of alkynes, have been described and organized on the basis of the catalysts employed in the syntheses. Both racemic and enantioselective approaches have been reported. In the second part, an overview of the transformations of propargylamines into heterocyclic compounds such as pyrroles, pyridines, thiazoles, and oxazoles, as well as other relevant organic derivatives, is presented.

Abstract
Structure modifications of lupeol at the isopropylene moiety have been described via allylic oxidation using selenium dioxide. The antidiabetic efficacy of lupeol analogues were evaluated in vitro as glucose uptake stimulatory effect in L6 skeletal muscle cells. From all tested compounds, 2, 3, 4b and 6b showed significant stimulation of glucose uptake with respective percent stimulation of 173.1 (p <0.001), 114.1 (p <0.001), 98.3 (p <0.001) and 107.3 (p <0.001) at 10μM concentration. Stimulation of glucose uptake by these compounds is associated with enhanced translocation of glucose transporter 4 (GLUT4) and activation of IRS-1/PI3-K/AKT-dependent signaling pathway in L6 cells. Structure-activity relationship analysis of these analogues demonstrated that the integrity of α,β-unsaturated carbonyl and acetyl moieties were important in the retention of glucose uptake stimulatory effect. It is therefore proposed that naturally occurring lupeol and their analogues might reduce blood glucose, at least in part, through stimulating glucose utilization by skeletal muscles.

Abstract
Palladium-catalyzed cyclocarbonylations of 2-iodoanilines with various terminal alkynes have been carried out by the use of commercially available molybdenum hexacarbonyl as a convenient and solid carbon monoxide source. The reactions were conducted at 160 °C for 30 min under microwave irradiation and in the presence of Et3N in THF, affording the corresponding 2-quinolone derivatives in good regioselectivities and yields.

Abstract
A new short method for the preparation of (R)-Bgugaine (1) has been described using Wittig condensation of a non-stabilised ylide with N-carboethoxy prolinal followed by reduction of double bond and conversion of N-carboethoxy group to N-methyl.
