Abstract
A copper-catalyzed efficient regioselective silylation reaction of chloro-substituted allenyl-Bdan was developed. Under mild reaction conditions, allenyl and propargyl silane compounds can be selectively obtained in moderate to high yields by adjusting the bases and solvents used in the reactions. This study offers direct and efficient methods for synthesizing multifunctionalized allenyl and propargyl silane compounds from the same initial material of chloro-substituted allenyl-Bdan.

Abstract
The development of general catalytic methods for the regio- and stereoselective construction of phosphoryl derivatives from identical substrates remains a formidable challenge in organic synthesis. Enabled by the newly developed BDPP-type ligands, we disclosed a nickel-catalyzed allenylation of phosphine oxides rationally and predictably, allowing the construction of versatile chiral allenylphosphoryl derivatives with high enantiopurity (up to 94% e.e.). Alternatively, using an achiral phosphine ligand dcypbz under acidic conditions, we achieved a regiochemical switch of the 1,3-dienylation to afford functionalized phosphinoyl 1,3-butadienes (up to 93% yield). The salient features of this method include switchable reactivity, broad substrate scope, readily available feedstock, single-step preparation, and high asymmetric induction.

Abstract
Different from the traditional two-electron oxidative addition-transmetalation-reductive elimination coupling strategy, visible light has been successfully integrated into transition metal-catalyzed coupling reaction of propargylic alcohol derivatives highly selectively forming allenenitriles: specifically speaking, visible light-mediated Cu-catalyzed cyanation of propargylic oxalates has been realized for the general, efficient, and exclusive syntheses of di-, tri, and tetra-substituted allenenitriles bearing various synthetically versatile functional groups. A set of mechanistic studies, including fluorescence quenching experiments, cyclic voltammetric measurements, radical trapping experiments, control experiments with different photocatalyst, and DFT calculation studies have proven that the current reaction proceeds via visible light-induced redox-neutral reductive quenching radical mechanism, which is a completely different approach as compared to the traditional transition metal-catalyzed two-electron oxidative addition processes.

Abstract
Herein, a highly regioselective alkylation of propargylic carbonates for trisubstituted allenes with alkyl 1,4-dihydropyridine derivatives (1,4-DHPs) is developed via a photoredox/nickel dual-catalyzed process, which represents the first direct approach to access alkylated allene products without alkyl organometallic reagents. This method features a broad substrate scope and mild conditions. A hypothetical mechanism with an alkyl radical and an allenyl Ni(III) species is proposed. Benzylation products were also obtained to be the complement building blocks for the potential synthesis of pharmaceuticals.

Abstract
The reaction of propargyl difluorides R1 CF2 C≡CR2 with alkylzincs R3 ZnCl giving axially chiral fluorinated allenes R1 FC=C=CR2 R3 with high enantioselectivity (up to 99 % ee) was found to be catalyzed by a chiral diene/rhodium complex. A key step in the catalytic cycle is selective elimination of one of the enantiotopic fluorides at the β-position of an alkenyl-Rh intermediate, which is generated by regioselective addition of R3 -Rh onto the triple bond of the starting difluorides.

Abstract
The regioselectivity (r.s.) and enantiospecificity (e.s.) of the substitution reactions of secondary propargylic alcohol derivatives using reagents derived from ArMgBr and Cu salts were studied. First, the picolinate, 3-methylpicolinate, and diethylphosphonate derivatives of Ph(CH2 )2 CH(OH)C≡CTMS were reacted with PhMgBr/CuCN in ratios of 2.5:2.7-2.5:0.25. The use of 2.5:0.25 ratio in THF/DME (6:1) at 0 °C for 1 h afforded the α-substitution product from the phosphate with ≥98 % r.s. and 99 % e.s. CuBr⋅Me2 S gave similar selectivity. The reaction system was then applied to phosphates derived from R1 CH(OH)C≡CR2 and ArMgBr to obtain synthetically sufficient r.s. and e.s. values with R2 =TMS, Ph, whereas iPr was borderline in terms of size as an R1 substituent. The presence of a substituent at the o-position of Ar marginally affected the selectivity. We also found that the use of PhMgBr/Cu(acac)2 in a 2:1 ratio in THF produced the γ-substitution products (allenes) with high r.s. and e.s.

Abstract
Chiral allenes are important structural scaffolds found in many natural products
and drugs, and in addition, they also serve as building blocks for many organic transformations.
The conventional methods for preparing chiral allenes rely on the resolution of
racemic allenes and the chirality transfer between non-racemic propargylic derivatives and
nucleophilic reagents. In recent years, the synthesis of chiral allenes by asymmetric catalysis
has been achieved fruitful results. Among them, enantioselective synthesis of chiral
allenes with chiral organic catalysts is particularly prominent. In this paper, the research
progress of enantioselective synthesis of chiral allenes catalyzed by chiral organic catalysts
in recent years is reviewed, including various reaction systems and synthesis applications.

Abstract
The diastereoselective SN2′-substitution of secondary alkylcopper reagents with propargylic phosphates enables the preparation of stereodefined alkylallenes. By using enantiomerically enriched alkylcopper reagents and enantioenriched propargylic phosphates as electrophiles anti-SN2′-substitutions were performend leading to α-chiral allenes in good yields with excellent regioselectivity and retention of configuration. DFT-calculations were performed to rationalize the structure of these alkylcopper reagents in various solvents, emphasizing their configurational stability in THF. The diastereoselective SN2′-substitution of secondary alkylcopper reagents with propargylic phosphates enables the preparation of stereodefined alkylallenes.![]()

Abstract
A copper‐catalyzed silylation of propargyl dichlorides was developed to access chloro‐substituted allenylsilanes under mild reaction conditions. Moreover, enantioenriched chloro‐substituted allenylsilanes can be synthesized in moderate to high yields and good enantioselectivities with this protocol.

Abstract
The general enantioselective synthesis of axially chiral disubstituted allenes from prochiral starting materials remains a long-standing challenge in organic synthesis. Here, we report an efficient enantio- and chemoselective copper hydride catalyzed semireduction of conjugated enynes to furnish 1,3-disubstituted allenes using water as the proton source. This protocol is sufficiently mild to accommodate an assortment of functional groups including keto, ester, amino, halo, and hydroxyl groups. Additionally, applications of this method for the selective synthesis of monodeuterated allenes and chiral 2,5-dihydropyrroles are described.

Abstract
We report herein the asymmetric coupling of flow‐generated unstabilized diazo compounds and propargylated amine derivatives, using a new pyridinebis(imidazoline) ligand, a copper catalyst and base. The reaction proceeds rapidly, generating chiral allenes in 10–20 minutes with high enantioselectivity (89–98 % de/ee), moderate yields and a wide functional group tolerance.

Abstract
Diorganocuprate(I) reagents derived from lithiated heterocycles and CuCN react with enantioenriched secondary propagryl bromides to give the corresponding propargylated heterocycles. While propargyl electrophiles typically undergo SN2' displacement, this transformation represents the first example of the reaction of hard carbanions with propargyl eletrophiles in an SN2 fashion and occurs with excellent levels of stereoinversion. The new method was applied to the formal synthesis of (+)-frondosin B.
