Abstract
We report here an efficient synthesis of fused bis-indazoles/indazoles via a one-pot sequential strategy starting from o-azido aldehydes and amines. This novel method involves the sequential formation of 2H-indazole followed by a Pd-catalyzed intramolecular cross-dehydrogenative coupling reaction. Overall, this one-pot sequential reaction involved the formation of new five bonds, resulting in the formation of three heterocyclic rings.

Abstract
An efficient and elegant assembly of pyrene/aryl fused pyrrolo[2,3-b]quinolinone and pyrrolizino[3,2-b]quinolinone hybrid heterocycles was achieved via a domino multicomponent reaction strategy using a solid state melt reaction (SSMR) condition. The 1,3-dipole component was generated in situ from N-methylgylcine/l-proline and isatin, while the Baylis-Hillman adduct prepared from pyrene-1-carbaldehyde and various benzaldehydes is used as the dipolarophile. The domino protocol comprises 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition and a consequent double annulation reaction process. The advantages of this cascade protocol include environmentally friendly conditions, the avoidance of toxic organic solvents, simple work-up and good to excellent product yields.

Abstract
An unprecedented domino protocol for the novel synthesis of highly diverse and functionalized tetrahydro pyranopyrazole scaffolds using chalcone epoxide has been reported for the first time. This synthetic protocol generates three consecutive stereogenic centres in a highly diastereoselective manner with the formation of vicinal diol and a quaternary carbon centre. A wide range of substrates were utilized for the scope of this methodology and provided very good yields of pyranopyrazoles. The pyranopyrazoles were also transformed into densely functionalized tetrasubstituted olefins. An unprecedented domino protocol for the novel synthesis of highly diverse and functionalized tetrahydro pyranopyrazole scaffolds using chalcone epoxide has been reported.![]()

Abstract
A new one pot assembly of highly functionalized benzo[a]phenazinone fused chromene/bicyclic scaffolds via a domino Knoevenagel intramolecular hetero-Diels-Alder (IMHDA) strategy using a solid state melt reaction (SSMR) of 2-hydroxynaphthalene 1,4-dione, o-phenylenediamine, O-allyl salicylaldehyde/O-vinyl salicylaldehyde derivatives is reported. The formation of five new bonds (two C-C bonds and three C-O bonds), three six-membered rings, and three stereogenic centers in a one-pot manner is very attractive. Ease of reaction with short time, good yields with water as the only byproduct and work up free procedure are some of the excellent features of the present protocol.

Abstract
This paper reports on the synthesis of a novel donor-acceptor conjugated polymers, P1 and P2 by solvent free eutectic melt polymerization reaction. Triisopropylsilylethynyl(TIPS) substituted benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b']dithiophene(BDT) is used as donor, thienithiophene(TT) and thienopyrroledione(TPD) are utilized as acceptors for demonstrating eutectic polymerization. The most important fact in the solvent-free reaction between solid reactants actually proceeds through bulk liquid phases. Such liquid phases are possible due to the formation of eutectics between the reactants and product(s) and any evolution of heat. Naphthalene is explored in this reaction for forming eutectics with the reactants, resulting in desired polymers. Thermal stability, optical and electrochemical properties of these polymers were determined. Optical band gaps of the polymers were found to be 1.58 and 1.65 eV. Electrochemical studies by cyclic voltametry experiment revealed HOMO and LUMO energy levels to be -5.22, -5.60 eV, and -3.76, -4.16 eV, respectively. The polymers were thermally stable up to 285-400 °C. Thermal, optical and electrochemical studies indicated these materials to be promising candidates in organic electronic applications.

Abstract
A facile and efficient synthetic protocol was established for the construction of novel tri- and tetra-cyclic pyrrolo/pyrrolizinoquinoline architectures via the in situ formation of azomethine ylide followed by an intramolecular [3 + 2] cycloaddition reaction strategy. This protocol leads to the creation of two/three new rings and three/four contiguous stereocentres, in which one of them is a tetra-substituted carbon center, in a highly diastereoselective fashion with excellent yields.

Abstract
The title compounds, C27H20O6, (I) [systematic name: methyl 7-oxo-14-phenyl-1H,7H,14H-pyrano[3,2-c:5,4-c']dichromene-14a(6bH)-carboxyl-ate], C24H22O5, (II) [systematic name: methyl 1-oxo-6-phenyl-2,3,4,12b-tetra-hydro-1H,6H-chromeno[3,4-c]chromene-6a(7H)-carboxyl-ate], and C25H23N3O4, (III) [systematic name: 6-(4-ethyl-phen-yl)-2,4-dimethyl-1,3-dioxo-2,3,4,12b-tetra-hydro-1H,6H-chromeno[4',3':4,5]pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidine-6a(7H)-carbo-nitrile], are pyran-ochromene derivatives. The central pyran rings (B) of compounds (I) and (III) adopt half-chair conformations, whereas that of compound (II) adopts a sofa conformation. The pyran rings (A) of the chromene ring systems of compounds (II) and (III) adopt half-chair conformations, while that of compound (I) adopts a sofa conformation. The mean plane of the central pyran rings (B) make dihedral angles of 70.02 (6), 61.52 (6) and 69.12 (7)°, respectively, with the mean planes of the chromene moieties (C+A) of compounds (I), (II) and (III). The bicyclic coumarin ring system (C+A+B+E) in compound (I) is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.042 Å). The carbo-nitrile side chain in compound (III) is very nearly linear, with the C-C N angle being 176.6 (2)°. The cyclo-hexene ring (E), fused with the central pyran ring (B) in compound (II) adopts a sofa conformation. In the mol-ecular structures of compounds (II) and (III), there are C-H⋯O short contacts, which generate S(7) ring motifs. In the crystal structures of the title compounds, mol-ecules are linked by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, which generate mol-ecular sheets parallel to the ab plane, with R 4 (3)(28) loops in (I), inversion dimers with R 2 (2)(10) loops in (II) and chains along [010] with R 2 (2)(12) ring motifs in (III). In the crystal structures of (I) and (III), there are also C-H⋯π inter-actions present, leading to the formation of a three-dimensional framework in (II) and to sheets parallel to (101) in (III).

Abstract
The title compound, C17H15NO5, adopts an E conformation with respect to the C=C double bond of the phenylacrylate unit. The phenyl ring and methyl acrylate group of the phenylacrylate unit are disordered over two sets of sites with site-occupancy ratios of 0.705 (5):0.295 (5) and 0.683 (3):0.317 (3), respectively. The mean plane through the benzene ring of the phenyl acrylate makes dihedral angles of 88.4 (8) (major component) and 86.7 (8)° (minor component) with the nitrophenoxy ring; the dihedral angle between the two components is 3.64 (6)°. Intramolecular C—H⋯O interactions stabilise the molecular structure. In the crystal, C—H⋯O interactions result in a chain of molecules running along the b axis.

Abstract
The title compound, C(19)H(18)O(5), crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules (A and B) in an asymmetric unit in both of which the two aromatic rings are in a bis-ectional orientation as evidenced by the dihedral angle between them [41.7 (1)° in mol-ecule A and 35.6 (1)° in mol-ecule B]. Both mol-ecules adopt an E configuration with respect to the C=C bond. An intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen-bond occurs in mol-ecule A. The crystal packing features inter-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions.
