Abstract
UNLABELLED Long-term outcome data by induction type in simultaneous pancreas-kidney (SPK) is limited. METHODS Utilizing the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients, we examined all primary SPK transplants between 2000 and 2020, excluding crossmatch-positive recipients. We grouped recipients according to induction regimen into 3 groups: rabbit anti-thymocyte globulin (r-ATG) (n = 5678), alemtuzumab (n = 1199), and interleukin-2 receptor antagonist (IL-2RA; n = 1593). We analyzed the 10-y recipient and composite (kidney and pancreas) graft survival using the Kaplan-Meier survival function. Cox-proportion hazard models were generated to examine the association between induction type, the 10-y recipient, and graft survival. Models were adjusted for recipient age, sex, ethnicity, HLA-mismatch, diabetes type, dialysis dependency, cold-ischemia time, local versus imported organs, panel reactive antibody, steroid maintenance, and Pancreas Donor Risk Index. RESULTS r-ATG was associated with the lowest 1-y kidney and pancreas rejection rates compared with other agents (P < 0.001). In the univariable analysis, induction type was not associated with recipient (log-rank P = 0.11) or graft survival (log-rank P = 0.36). In the multivariable model for the composite graft survival, alemtuzumab use was associated with 22% increased kidney or pancreas graft loss compared with r-ATG (adjusted hazard ratio, 1.22; 95% confidence interval, 1.05-1.42), whereas IL-2RA use was not a predictor of graft survival. Induction type did not influence recipient survival in the adjusted model. CONCLUSIONS r-ATG use was associated with the lowest SPK rejection rates. Compared with r-ATG, alemtuzumab but not IL-2RA was associated with worse long-term death-censored SPK graft outcome. Our analysis supports the common use of r-ATG for induction in US primary SPK recipients.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Alemtuzumab (AZ) is a monoclonal anti-CD52 antibody used as an induction agent in organ transplantation. Few studies have analyzed this agent in the context of simultaneous kidney-pancreas transplantation (SPKT). METHODS We examined US registry data of SPKT recipient outcomes from January 2002 to October 2009 stratified by induction agent including AZ, other T-cell-depleting agents combined (T cell), IL2 receptor blockade (IL-2RAb), and no induction (none). RESULTS Of 6860 SPKT recipients, induction therapy was AZ in 10%, T cell in 49%, IL-2RAb in 18%, and none in 22%. On multivariate analysis, there were no significant differences in overall patient survival, pancreas or renal allograft survival, or delayed renal graft function for the three induction groups compared with no induction. Rehospitalization within six months of transplantation occurred more often with AZ (51%) T cell (52%), and IL-2RAB (45%) compared with none (41%; p < 0.0001). On multivariate analysis, there was a significant higher odds of six-month rehospitalization with AZ (aOR 1.40, 95%CI 1.14-1.71), IL-2RAb (aOR 1.20, 95%CI 1.01-1.42-1.20), and other T-cell-depleting agents (aOR 1.50, 95%CI 1.31-1.73) compared with none. Median length of stay was significantly shorter in the AZ (8 d) compared with the IL-2RAb (9 d), T cell (10 d), and none (10 d) groups (p < 0.0001). CONCLUSIONS There are no differences in patient, pancreas or renal allograft survival using AZ induction. AZ may confer an advantage in the perioperative period as evidenced by a decreased hospital length of stay. However, this benefit may be lost due to more frequent rehospitalizations.

Abstract
Currently, a wide variety of both polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies are being routinely utilized to prevent and treat solid organ rejection. More commonly, these agents are also administered in order to delay introduction of calcineurin inhibitors, especially in patients with already compromised renal function. While these antibody therapies dramatically reduced the incidence of acute rejection episodes and improved both short and long-term graft survival, they are also associated with an increased incidence of opportunistic infections and neoplastic complications. Therefore, effective patient management must necessarily balance these risks against the potential benefits of the therapy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Renal transplantation is the treatment modality of choice for patients with end stage kidney failure. We present our experience of graft and patient survival of initial 500 renal transplants performed between May 1991 and July 2006, at Army Hospital (R&R). MATERIAL AND METHODS All patients received triple drug immunosuppression with cyclosporine/tacrolimus, azathioprine/ mycophenolate mofetil and steroids. Patients in high risk group received induction therapy with IL-2 receptor blockers/anti-thymocyte globulin. RESULTS Majority of the recipients (79%) were males, whereas majority of the donors (59.4%) were females. In the donor profile, 385 (77%) transplants were live related, 108 (21.6 %) were spousal and 7 (1.4%) were cadaveric transplants. Mean age of the donors and recipients was 42.11 ± 11.53 years (range 19-72 years) and 33 ± 9.39 years (range 5-60 years) respectively. Eighty two patients (16.4%) were lost to follow up and the present data on rejections, patients and graft survival pertains to 418 patients. These patients have been followed up for a mean period of 2.63 years (SE, 0.122; median 1.8 years; range 0-13.36 years). Acute rejection episodes occurred in 115 (27.3%) patients and 95% of these could be reversed with steroids/ATG. Sixty eight patients (16%) have died on follow-up. Our one-year, 5 year and 10 year estimated graft survival is 95.4% (SE, 0.01), 80.5% (SE, 0.03) and 53.1% (SE, 0.09) respectively and patient survival at one year is 93.2% (SE, 0.01). The estimated graft and patient survival in our series is 9.83 (95% CI, 8.92-10.73) and 9.80 (8.93-10.67) years respectively. CONCLUSION This centre's short-term graft survival of 95.4% is comparable to the best centres of the world.

Abstract
Diabetes mellitus remains one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately 23.6 million people in the United States are affected. Of these individuals, 5-10% have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes mellitus (TIDM), an autoimmune disease. Although it often appears in childhood, T1DM may manifest at any age. The effects of T1DM can be devastating, as the disease often leads to significant secondary complications, morbidity, and decreased quality of life. Since the late 1960s, surgical treatment for diabetes mellitus has continued to evolve and has become a viable alternative to chronic insulin administration. In this review, the historical evolution, current status, graft efficacy, benefits, and complications of pancreas transplantation are explored.

Abstract
HuCD25mAb is a humanized anti-CD25 antibody which has the same amino acid sequence as daclizumab (Zenapax, Roche). HuCD25mAb is expressed in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells while daclizumab is expressed in the NSO myeloma cell line. A comparative study was performed to evaluate the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics between huCD25mAb and daclizumab in a two-dose regimen incorporating triple immunosuppressant treatment regimens (MMF, CsA and steroids). Fifteen patients were enrolled and randomized to receive intravenous infusion of either huCD25mAb (n = 10) or daclizumab (n = 5) at a dosage of 1 mg.kg(-1) on operation day 0 and post-operation day 14. Serum concentrations of huCD25mAb and daclizumab were measured by a validated competitive ELISA. Subgroups of CD3(+), CD25(+), CD4(+) and CD8(+) lymphocytes were monitored periodically by flow cytometry. The concentration-time curves of huCD25mAb and daclizumab were found to fit well to a one-compartment model. A significant decline of proportion (%) of CD3-CD25(+) and CD3(+)CD25(+) lymphocytes was observed 30 min after first infusion on day 0 (3.40 +/- 1.83 to 0.03 +/- 0.07, 3.35 +/- 2.02 to 0.37 +/- 0.49), and these levels remained low for at least 70 days (0.03 +/- 0.05, 0.31 +/- 0.47). All pharmacokinetic parameters of huCD25mAb seemed similar to those of daclizumab. The two-dose huCD25mAb regimen was as effective as daclizumab in rapidly achieving high therapeutic concentration in the treated patients, and a significant decrease of CD3(-)CD25(+) and CD3(+)CD25(+) lymphocytes was demonstrated. This suggests that two-dose regimen is feasible in maintaining host immunosuppression and may provide an effective and economical strategy for reducing incidence of acute graft rejection.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Effects of daclizumab and antithymocyte globulin induction on acute rejection, bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome, and survival after lung transplantation are unknown. We hypothesized that daclizumab results in less acute rejection and bronchiolitis obliterans and better survival than antithymocyte globulin. METHODS Consecutive adult lung transplants (n = 163) at the University of Virginia from January 1998 to May 2006 were reviewed. Antithymocyte globulin induction was routinely performed before January 2002 (65 patients), after which all patients received daclizumab (98 patients). Estimates of cumulative event rate of acute rejection, bronchiolitis obliterans, and death were calculated by Kaplan-Meier method and between-group differences compared by log-rank test. Cox proportional hazards models were fitted to assess treatment effects adjusted for covariates. RESULTS Groups were similar in demographics and preoperative and intraoperative risk factors. Maintenance immunosuppression changed during the study, and mycophenolate mofetil was more commonly given to patients receiving daclizumab. By Kaplan-Meier method, daclizumab was associated with significantly less acute rejection (P = .002), less bronchiolitis obliterans (P = .02), and improved overall survival (P = .04). Induction agent was highly associated with acute rejection (P = .002), bronchiolitis obliterans (P = .02), and mortality (P = .05); antimetabolite agent was associated only with acute rejection (P = .01). Adjusting for covariates, induction agent remained significantly predictive for acute rejection (P = .02) and bronchiolitis obliterans (P = .05), approaching significance for survival (P = .07). CONCLUSION Lung transplant recipients receiving daclizumab for induction had significantly less acute rejection and bronchiolitis obliterans than those receiving antithymocyte globulin, with possibly improved survival. Improvements in acute rejection may have been confounded by the use of mycophenolate mofetil.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Tacrolimus (TAC) with mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) and a steroid-free regimen seems to have good efficacy in preventing acute rejection in cardiac transplant recipients, although concern exists about nephrotoxicity. Induction therapy with Daclizumab seems to give protection without side effects. Data are lacking about the outcome of 2-dose Daclizumab+TAC+MMF and a steroid-free regimen. MATERIALS AND METHODS We retrospectively reviewed 28 consecutive de novo heart transplantations performed at a single center between January 2001 and June 2006. Patients received induction therapy with 2-dose Daclizumab. Maintenance immunosuppression included TAC, MMF, and prednisone during the first 6 months. The endpoints were the incidence of acute rejection, patient and graft survival, and clinical tolerability. RESULTS Among 28 patients of mean age 57 +/- 9 years, 2 subjects (7%) died in the perioperative period due to infections. The mean follow-up was 2.8 +/- 1.5 years. There were no late deaths. Six patients experienced acute rejection (International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation [ISHLT] >or=3A) that required treatment during the first 3 months. At follow-up, only 3 patients (>or=3A) required treatment. Mean creatinine level increased from 1.08 +/- 0.37 at baseline to 1.08 +/- 0.41 at 1 year (n = 23; P = not significant [NS]) to 1.39 +/- 0.68 (n = 13; P < .05) at 4 years, 1.65 +/- 0.51 (n = 8; P < .05) at 5 years. No patient required replacement therapy. CONCLUSIONS A steroid-free protocol with 2-dose Daclizumab induction therapy and maintenance with TAC and MMF seemed to be safe to prevent acute rejection. Creatinine levels were slightly but significantly increased.

Abstract
Steroid elimination is being achieved in organ transplantation. The newer generation of more powerful induction and maintenance immunosuppressants offer a new era of safe and effective steroid avoidance. The advantages of achieving independence from steroids definitely extend to the patient. Recent studies also suggest unexpected immunological benefits for the graft. Randomized studies of steroid avoidance and usage are warranted to confirm safety and efficacy, and to address pharmacokinetic and transcriptional changes as a result of steroid elimination, for optimum dosing and monitoring.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to compare the efficacy and cost of the limited-dose Daclizumab regimen to that of the standard-dose Basiliximab regimen. Two antibody induction regimens were compared in patients aged 18 years and older who received renal transplants from January 2002 to September 2003 and completed interleukin (IL)-2R antibody induction with standard-dose Basiliximab (20 mg x 2 doses) or limited-dose Daclizumab (1 mg/kg x 2 doses). The primary outcome measure was the incidence of acute rejection. Secondary outcomes included cost, changes in serum creatinine level, and delayed graft function. Of the 46 patients randomized, 42 patients completed the 6-month follow-up. Mean serum creatinine level at time of discharge was originally higher in the limited-dose Daclizumab group than the standard-dose Basiliximab group (1.89 vs 1.57, respectively). By 1, 3, and 6 months, mean serum creatinine values were similar between both groups, with a trend toward lower mean serum creatinine values in the limited-dose Daclizumab group. The incidence of acute rejection was also similar between the groups (6% vs 7%). The average cost difference between the 2 regimens was approximately $715. This study suggests that a limited-dose Daclizumab regimen may be an efficacious and less costly alternative to the standard-dose Basiliximab regimen for antibody induction therapy following renal transplantation.

Abstract
Acute rejection during the first year post-transplant is a key predictor of graft survival after renal transplantation. Use of induction therapy with a lymphocyte-depleting agent or an interleukin-2 receptor (IL-2R) antagonist can provide effective protection against rejection in the first critical weeks and months post-transplant. Polyclonal lymphocyte-depleting antibodies are associated with a low incidence of rejection but evidence of their benefit in terms of graft survival is lacking. Thymoglobulin appears to offer superior graft outcomes compared with generic antithymocyte globulin (ATG). The most frequent adverse events are symptoms of cytokine release syndrome, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, and tachycardia; data on whether polyclonal antibody use increases the risk of lymphoma are conflicting. Muromonab CD3 (OKT3), a monoclonal lymphocyte-depleting antibody, is efficacious but a high incidence of cytokine release syndrome and increased risk of post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease have limited its use. Following their recent introduction, the IL-2R antagonists basiliximab and daclizumab are now used widely, after randomized trials demonstrated that addition to calcineurin inhibitor-based therapy significantly reduced acute rejection by approximately 30-40%. Meta-analyses and registry analysis suggest that addition of an IL-2R antagonist may improve graft survival. The safety profile of IL-2R antagonists is indistinguishable from placebo, with no apparent difference in incidence of infection or post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease. IL-2R antagonists and polyclonal lymphocyte-depleting antibodies (with delayed cyclosporine) offer equivalent efficacy in standard-risk populations; in a trial of high-risk patients, acute rejection rate and graft outcomes were improved with Thymoglobulin. Tolerability is superior with IL-2R antagonists: cytokine release syndrome and hematologic disturbances (notably leukopenia) are significantly more frequent with polyclonal antibodies. Cytomegalovirus infection may also be more common with lymphocyte-depleting antibodies. Thus, in patients at high risk of graft loss, Thymoglobulin may be the preferred choice for induction therapy, while for all other patients, IL-2R antagonists should be considered first-line choice for induction therapy.

Abstract
Antibody induction therapy is used in solid organ transplantation to prevent rejection in the early postoperative period. It is especially useful in high-risk groups such as retransplants, patients with delayed graft function to delay the initiation of nephrotoxic calcineurin inhibitors (tacrolimus, cyclosporin), highly sensitised recipients and African-American recipients. Historically, antibody induction has been associated with a high incidence of adverse effects and a complicated administration regimen. Daclizumab is a monoclonal antibody that exerts its effect by binding to the alpha subunit (CD25) of the human interleukin (IL)-2 receptor on the surface of activated lymphocytes, thus preventing the binding of IL-2. It is used for induction therapy and is well-tolerated with easy administration. Although originally studied as a five-dose regimen, there is a growing accumulation of data that fewer doses (two or three) are efficacious and less costly for preventing rejection.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Sparse published data exist on outcomes in daclizumab-treated cardiac transplant patients. One trial observed an increased mortality risk 6 and 12 months posttransplant in patients receiving daclizumab plus mycophenolate mofetil (MMF), cyclosporine, and steroids. This study further investigates the safety profile of daclizumab with this same immunosuppressive regimen from a large registry. METHODS Data obtained at hospital discharge on all adult cardiac transplants performed in the USA between January 1998 and October 2003 for patients receiving MMF plus cyclosporine and steroids were accessed from the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients. Patients were selected based on induction treatment: daclizumab (n = 684) or no induction (n = 2525). Outcomes were evaluated at 6 months, 12 months, and 3 years posttransplant. Univariate Kaplan-Meier and multivariate Cox models were used to evaluate the effect of treatment on outcomes. Patient survival and infectious death were the primary endpoints. Secondary endpoints included rejection within the first year posttransplant (acute rejection; AR) and total rejection episodes over time. The two treatment groups shared similar demographics and transplant procedure details. RESULTS Daclizumab (vs no induction) patients had no increased risk of patient death nor infectious death. Daclizumab patients had a lower incidence of AR at 6 months (P = .005) and 12 months (P < .001); the adjusted risk for AR at 12 months (hazards ratio [HR] = 0.77; P = .89) and over 3 years (HR 0.83, P = .006) was also lower in daclizumab-treated patients. CONCLUSIONS In cardiac transplant patients, daclizumab (vs no induction) does not result in increased mortality or infectious death, and is associated with a lower incidence of AR.

Abstract
The adverse effects of tacrolimus have limited the use of this potent immunosuppressive drug in clinical transplantation. To improve the therapeutic effects, we developed a new type of tacrolimus with biodegradable microsphere technology and examined the immunosuppressive effects on allogeneic islet transplantation and the side-effects on insulin secretion in vivo. With a single subcutaneous injection, mouse blood concentrations of tacrolimus (M-FK) carried in biodegradable microspheres remained flat for 2 weeks (only 10 h for conventional tacrolimus). A single subcutaneous administration of 20 mg/kg of M-FK significantly prolonged the survival of islet allografts (MST = 28 days) compared with the control group (MST = 10 days). Series administration of 10 mg/kg of M-FK at 7-day intervals markedly prolonged the survival of islet grafts, and resulted in 60% allograft acceptance. In mice with syngeneic islet transplantations, a single administration of 30 mg/kg of tacrolimus inhibited insulin secretion, whereas a single administration of an equal dosage of M-FK did not. The results suggested that M-FK enhanced the immunosuppressive effects on islet allograft rejection more effectively with reduced side-effects on insulin secretion.

Abstract
UNLABELLED Extensive clinical use has confirmed that tacrolimus (Prograf) is a key option for immunosuppression after transplantation. In large, prospective, randomised, multicentre trials in adults and children receiving solid organ transplants, tacrolimus was at least as effective or provided better efficacy than cyclosporin microemulsion in terms of patient and graft survival, treatment failure rates and the incidence of biopsy-proven acute and corticosteroid-resistant rejection episodes. Notably, the lower incidence of rejection episodes after renal transplantation in tacrolimus recipients was reflected in improved cost effectiveness. In bone marrow transplant (BMT) recipients, the incidence of tacrolimus grade II-IV graft-versus-host disease was significantly lower with tacrolimus than cyclosporin treatment. Efficacy was maintained in renal and liver transplant recipients after total withdrawal of corticosteroid therapy from tacrolimus-based immunosuppression, with the incidence of acute rejection episodes at up to 2 years' follow-up being similar with or without corticosteroids. Tacrolimus provided effective rescue therapy in transplant recipients with persistent acute or chronic allograft rejection or drug-related toxicity associated with cyclosporin treatment. Typically, conversion to tacrolimus reversed rejection episodes and/or improved the tolerability profile, particularly in terms of reduced hyperlipidaemia. In lung transplant recipients with obliterative bronchiolitis, conversion to tacrolimus reduced the decline in and/or improved lung function in terms of forced expiratory volume in 1 second. Tolerability issues may be a factor when choosing a calcineurin inhibitor. Cyclosporin tends to be associated with a higher incidence of significant hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, hirsutism, gingivitis and gum hyperplasia, whereas the incidence of some types of neurotoxicity, disturbances in glucose metabolism, diarrhoea, pruritus and alopecia may be higher with tacrolimus treatment. Renal function, as assessed by serum creatinine levels and glomerular filtration rates, was better in tacrolimus than cyclosporin recipients at up to 5 years' follow-up. CONCLUSION Recent well designed trials have consolidated the place of tacrolimus as an important choice for primary immunosuppression in solid organ transplantation and in BMT. Notably, in adults and children receiving transplants, tacrolimus-based primary immunosuppression was at least as effective or provided better efficacy than cyclosporin microemulsion treatment in terms of patient and graft survival, treatment failure and the incidence of acute and corticosteroid-resistant rejection episodes. The reduced incidence of rejection episodes in renal transplant recipients receiving tacrolimus translated into a better cost effectiveness relative to cyclosporin microemulsion treatment. The optimal immunosuppression regimen is ultimately dependent on balancing such factors as the efficacy of the individual drugs, their tolerability, potential for drug interactions and pharmacoeconomic issues.

Abstract
A randomized, multicenter, prospective study was conducted at 18 pancreas transplant centers in the United States to determine the role of induction therapy in simultaneous pancreas-kidney (SPK) transplantation. One hundred and 74 recipients were enrolled: 87 recipients each in the induction and noninduction treatment arms. Maintenance immunosuppression consisted of tacrolimus, mycophenolate mofetil, and corticosteroids. There were no statistically significant differences between treatment groups for patient, kidney, and pancreas graft survival at 1-year. The 1-year cumulative incidence of any treated biopsy-confirmed or presumptive rejection episodes (kidney or pancreas) in the induction and noninduction treatment arms was 24.6% and 31.2% (p = 0.28), respectively. The 1-year cumulative incidence of biopsy-confirmed, treated, acute kidney allograft rejection in the induction and noninduction treatment arms was 13.1% and 23.0% (p = 0.08), respectively. Biopsy-confirmed kidney allograft rejection occurred later post-transplant and appeared to be less severe among recipients that received induction therapy. The highest rate of Cytomegalovirus (CMV) viremia/syndrome was observed in the subgroup of recipients who received T-cell depleting antibody induction and received organs from CMV serologically positive donors. Decisions regarding the routine use of induction therapy in SPK transplantation must take into consideration its differential effects on risk of rejection and infection.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Calcineurin inhibitors are associated with adverse events, including nephrotoxicity and diabetes that might reduce the benefits of long-term graft survival. We report our experience in converting kidney (K), kidney-pancreas (KP), pancreas (P), and (L) recipients from a calcineurin inhibitor/mycophenolate mofetil (MMF)/prednisone dose-induced nephrotoxicity (K = 9, KP = 5, P = 1, L = 5), hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) (K = 7, KP = 5), chronic allograft nephropathy (K = 12, L = 1), and glucose intolerance (K = 9, KP = 6, P = 2, L = 2). METHODS The conversion protocol consisted of an abrupt discontinuation of the calcineurin inhibitor with sirolimus (8-12 mg, PO loading dose) initiated 24-72 hours after stopping the calcineurin inhibitor. Sirolimus was titrated to target trough levels of 12-16 ng/mL. Daclizumab 2 mg/kg IV was given to all KP and P recipients on days 0 and 14 postconversion. RESULTS Resolution of HUS occurred in 12 of 12 patients (100%) with a drop in serum creatinine from 3.3 +/- 1.5 to 1.8 +/- 0.9 mg/dL (P =.04). Sirolimus conversion due to nephrotoxicity, HUS, and chronic allograft nephropathy improved serum creatinine from 2.9 +/- 1.4 to 2.2 +/- 0.9 mg/dL (P =.01). Eleven of 19 patients (58%) resolved glucose intolerance. Two patients suffered rejection due to noncompliance. Increases in cholesterol (208 +/- 70 to 243 +/- 77 mg/dL, P <.05) and triglycerides (232 +/- 145 to 265 +/- 148 mg/dL, P = NS), and minimal reduction in platelet values (243 +/- 85 to 237 +/- 85, P = NS) occurred. CONCLUSIONS These data suggest that a calcineurin inhibitor-free immunosuppressive regimen with sirolimus, mycophenolate mofetil, and steroids preserves graft function in patients with clinical indications warranting calcineurin inhibitor discontinuation.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Experience with organ transplantation in patients with indolent lymphoma is limited, and it is unknown how the natural history of the disease is altered by chronic immunosuppressive therapy. METHODS A patient with type 1 diabetes and renal failure who underwent simultaneous kidney-pancreas transplantation was found to have stage IV small lymphocytic lymphoma at the time of transplantation. He received quadruple immunosuppressive therapy using interleukin (IL)-2 receptor antibody, tacrolimus, mycophenolate mofetil, and prednisone. RESULTS Patient is doing well 3 years posttransplant with excellent graft function of both the kidney and pancreas without any evidence of progression of the disease. CONCLUSION Indolent lymphoma should not be considered an absolute contraindication to organ transplantation.
