Abstract
The concept of ferroelectric polarons is proposed to partially explain the exceptional optoelectronic properties observed in lead halide perovskites (LHPs). It is intriguing but unclear how this proposal, which involves local or transient polarizations, applies in general to 2D LHPs with long-range ferroelectricity. Here, this work presents a pioneering time-domain experimental investigation of polarons in ferroelectric (IA)2(MA)2Pb3Br10 (IMPB; IA is isoamylammonium and MA is methylammonium) using transient absorption spectroscopy. Compared to non-ferroelectric LHPs, IMPB exhibits several distinct polaronic properties closely associated with macroscopic polarizations of ferroelectricity, including a prolonged polaron formation time (≈1.1 ps), a Stark splitting of the bleaching (≈63 meV), and a giant polaron Mott density (≈7.6 × 1018 cm-3). These findings broaden the realm of 2D polaron systems and reveal the decisive role of static/unidirectional polarizations on polaron physics in 2D LHPs.

Abstract
The perovskite materials are broadly incorporated into optoelectronic devices due to a number of advantages. Their rapid technological progress is related to the relatively simple fabrication process, low production cost and high efficiency. Significant improvement is made in the light emitting, detection performance and device design especially operating in the visible and near-infrared regions. This review presents the status and possible future development of the perovskite devices such as solar cells, photodetectors, and light-emitting diodes. The fundamental properties of perovskite materials related to their effective device applications are summarized. Since the development of the perovskite technology is mainly driven by the revolutionary evolution of the semiconductor perovskite solar cell as a robust candidate for next-generation solar energy harvesting, this topic is considered first. The device engineering of various perovskite photodetector structures, including perovskite quantum dot photodetectors, is then discussed in detail. Their performance is compared with the current commercial photodetectors available on the global market together with their challenges. Finally, the considerable progress in the fabrication of the perovskite light-emitting diodes with external quantum efficiency exceeding 20% is presented. The paper is completed in an attempt to determine the development of perovskite optoelectronic devices in the future.

Abstract
We report that constructed Au nanoclusters (NCs) can afford amazing white emission synergistically dictated by the Au(0)-dominated core-state fluorescence and Au(I)-governed surface-state phosphorescence, with record-high absolute quantum yields of 42.1% and 53.6% in the aqueous solution and powder state, respectively. Moreover, the dynamic color tuning is achieved in a wide warm-to-cold white-light range (with the correlated color temperature varied from 3426 to 24 973 K) by elaborately manipulating the ratio of Au(0) to Au(I) species and thus the electron transfer rate from staple motif to metal kernel. This study not only exemplifies the successful integration of multiple luminescent centers into metal NCs to accomplish efficient white-light emission but also inspires a feasible pathway toward customizing the optical properties of metal NCs by regulating electron transfer kinetics.

Abstract
Inorganic CsPbX3 perovskite quantum dots (PeQDs) show great potential in white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) due to excellent optoelectronic properties, but their practical application is hampered by low photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) and especially poor stability. Herein, we developed an in-situ and general multidentate ligand passivation strategy that allows for CsPbX3 PeQDs not only near-unit PLQY, but significantly improved stability against storage, heat, and polar solvent. The enhanced optical property arises from high effectiveness of the multidentate ligand, diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA) with five carboxyl groups, in passivating uncoordinated Pb2+ defects and suppressing nonradiative recombination. First-principles calculations reveal that the excellent stability is attributed to tridentate binding mode of DTPA that remarkably boosts the adsorption capacity to PeQD core. Finally, combining the green and red PeQDs with blue chip, we demonstrated highly luminous WLEDs with distinctly enhanced operation stability, a wide color gamut of 121.3% of national television system committee, standard white light of (0.33,0.33) in CIE 1931, and tunable color temperatures from warm to cold white light readily by emitters' ratio. This study provides an operando yet general approach to achieve efficient and stable PeQDs for WLEDs and accelerates their progress to commercialization.

Abstract
Organic-inorganic hybrid metal halide perovskites (MHPs) have attracted tremendous attention for optoelectronic applications. The long photocarrier lifetime and moderate carrier mobility have been proposed as results of the large polaron formation in MHPs. However, it is challenging to measure the effective mass and carrier scattering parameters of the photogenerated large polarons in the ultrafast carrier recombination dynamics. Here, we show, in a one-step spectroscopic method, that the optical-pump and terahertz-electromagnetic probe (OPTP) technique allows us to access the nature of interplay of photoexcited unbound charge carriers and optical phonons in polycrystalline CH3NH3PbI3 (MAPbI3) of about 10 μm grain size. Firstly, we demonstrate a direct spectral evidence of the large polarons in polycrystalline MAPbI3. Using the Drude-Smith-Lorentz model along with the Frӧhlich-type electron-phonon (e-ph) coupling, we determine the effective mass and scattering parameters of photogenerated polaronic carriers. We discover that the resulting moderate polaronic carrier mobility is mainly influenced by the enhanced carrier scattering, rather than the polaron mass enhancement. While, the formation of large polarons in MAPbI3 polycrystalline grains results in a long charge carrier lifetime at room temperature. Our results provide crucial information about the photo-physics of MAPbI3 and are indispensable for optoelectronic device development with better performance.

Abstract
Controlling the structure of halide perovskites through component engineering, and thus revealing the changes in luminescence properties caused by the conversion of crystal structure, is of great significance. Herein, we report a controllable synthetic strategy of three-dimensional (3D) Cs2KInCl6 and zero-dimensional (0D) (Cs/K)2InCl5(H2O) halide perovskites by changing the Cs/K feed ratio. 3D Cs2KInCl6 double perovskites are obtained at the Cs/K feed ratio of 1:1, while 0D (Cs/K)2InCl5(H2O) perovskites are formed at the Cs/K feed ratio of 2:1. Further, a reversible crystal structure transformation between 3D Cs2KInCl6 double perovskites and 0D (Cs/K)2InCl5(H2O) perovskites can be achieved by subsequent addition of metal-salt precursors. In addition, the emission efficiency of two perovskite structures can be greatly boosted by breaking the forbidden transition through Sb doping, and as a result, a novel green/yellow reversible emission switch is generated. Meanwhile, the relationship between perovskite structure and luminescence mechanism has been systematically revealed. These environmentally stable halide perovskites have great potential to be applied in optoelectronic devices.

Abstract
As global warming, energy shortages, and environment pollution have intensified, low-carbon and energy-saving lighting technology has attracted great attention worldwide. Light emitting diodes (LEDs) have been around for decades and are considered to be the most ideal lighting technology currently due to their high luminescence efficiency (LE) and long lifespan. Besides, along with the development of modern technology, lighting technologies with higher performance and more functions are desired. Perovskite based LEDs (PeLEDs) have recently emerged as ideal candidates for lighting technology owing to the extraordinary photoelectric properties of perovskite, such as high photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs), easy wavelength tuning, and low-cost synthesis. Herein, we open this review by introducing the background of white LEDs (WLEDs), including their light-emitting mechanism, typical characteristics, and key indicators in applications. Then, four main approaches to fabricate WLEDs are discussed and compared. After that, in accordance with the four categories, we focus on the recent progress of white PeLEDs (Pe-WLEDs), followed by the challenges and opportunities for Pe-WLEDs in practical application. Meanwhile, some pertinent countermeasures to their challenges are put forward. Finally, the development promise of Pe-WLEDs is explored.

Abstract
Carbon neutrality, energy savings, and lighting costs and quality have always led to urgent demand for lighting technology innovation. White light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) based on a single emissive layer (SEL) fabricated by the solution method have been continuously researched in recent years; they are advantageous because they have a low cost and are ultrathin and flexible. Here, we reviewed the history and development of SEL-WLEDs over recent years to provide inspiration and promote their progress in lighting applications. We first introduced the emitters and analysed the advantages of these emitters in creating SEL-WLEDs and then reviewed some cases that involve the above emitters, which were formed via vacuum thermal evaporation or solution processes. Some notable developments that deserve attention are highlighted in this review due to their potential use in SEL-WLEDs, such as perovskite materials. Finally, we looked at future development trends of SEL-WLEDs and proposed potential research directions.

Abstract
Perovskite light-emitting diodes (LEDs) show great potential for next-generation lighting and display technology. Despite intensive studies on single-color devices, there are few reports on perovskite-based white LEDs (Pe-WLEDs). Here, an efficient Pe-WLED based on a blue perovskite and an orange phosphorescent emitter is reported for the first time. It is found that using a simple perovskite/phosphor bilayer emitting structure, there is inefficient energy transfer from the blue perovskite to the orange phosphor, leading to low efficiency and a significant color shift with driving voltage. We address this issue by introducing a quantum-well-like charge-confinement structure for enhancing carrier trapping and thus exciton formation in the phosphorescent emitter. As a result, a high external quantum efficiency of 10.81% is obtained. More interestingly, by tuning the dopant concentration of the phosphorescent emitter using this simple device structure, we can controllably get Pe-WLEDs with very stable white light for display applications or tunable color from warm white to daylight for lighting applications.
