Abstract
It has been established that a newly developed cyclopentadienyl rhodium(III) [CpA RhIII ] complex, bearing an acidic secondary amide moiety on the Cp ring, is able to catalyze the ortho-bromination of O-phenyl carbamates with N-bromosuccinimide (NBS) at room temperature. The presence of the acidic secondary amide moiety on the CpA ligand accelerates the bromination by the hydrogen bond between the acidic NH group of the CpA ligand and the carbonyl group of NBS.

Abstract
Electrosynthesis of 2H‐2‐(aryl)benzo[d]‐1,2,3‐triazoles and their N‐oxides from 2‐nitroazobenzene derivatives is reported. The electrolysis is conducted in a very simple undivided cell under constant current conditions with a leaded bronze cathode and a glassy carbon anode. The product distribution between 2H‐2‐(aryl)benzo[d]‐1,2,3‐triazoles and their N‐oxides can be guided by simply controlling the current density and the amount of the charge applied. The reaction tolerates several sensitive functional groups in reductive electrochemistry. The usefulness and the applicability of the synthetic method is demonstrated by a formal synthesis of an antiviral compound.

Abstract
Efficient functionalization of C-H bonds can be achieved using transition metal catalysts, such as Pd(OAc)2. To better control the regioselectivity in these reactions, some functional groups on the substrate may be used as directing groups, guiding the reactivity to an ortho position. Herein, we describe a methodology to score the relative strength of such directing groups in palladium-catalyzed aromatic C-H activation. The results have been collected into a scale that serves to predict the regioselectivity on molecules with multiple competing directing groups. We demonstrate that this scale yields accurate predictions on over a hundred examples, taken from the literature. In addition to the regioselectivity prediction on complex molecules, the knowledge of the relative strengths of directing groups can also be used to work with new combinations of functionalities, exploring uncharted chemical space.

Abstract
The chemistry of 1,2,3-triazoles gained much attention since the discovery of the copper catalyzed Alkyne-azide cycloaddition (CuAAC) reaction which delivers exclusively the 1,4-regioisomer in high yields. On the other hand there is still no universal methodology capable of delivering the N2 substituted regioisomer. The unique properties of these N2-substituted 1,2,3-triazoles have stimulated synthetic efforts on the developments of methodologies capable of delivering it in high yield and selectivity. These efforts are the subject of the presented review.

Abstract
A palladium-catalyzed alkoxylation of N(9)-arylpurines with primary or secondary alcohols has been developed successfully, which is a rare C-H activation reaction of polynitrogenated purines and offers a late-stage strategy to synthesize N(9)-(ortho-alkoxyl)arylpurines. Although there are more than four nitrogen atoms present in the purine moiety, the reaction can be effectively conducted by sterically blocking the N(1) site for catalyst coordination and first employing the purinyl N(3) atom as a directing group.

Abstract
Palladium-catalyzed alkoxylation of 2-aryl-1,2,3-triazoles was described in the presence of various groups in the aromatic rings. In addition, some other directing groups of heterocycles containing nitrogen were explored.

Abstract
A selective, efficient and catalytic ligand-free method for the direct arylation of 2-aryl-1,2,3-triazoles via Pd-catalyzed C-H bond activation is described. The process smoothly proceeds in moderate to excellent yields.
