Abstract
An efficient methodology for the synthesis of symmetrical methylene diesters was developed through direct reaction of various aromatic carboxylates with 1,n-dihaloalkanes under solvent-free conditions. This strategy offers a high product yield, facile work-up and purification, and an environmentally friendly approach to obtain long-chain methylene carboxylate scaffolds with increased diversity.

Abstract
Herein, we report the preparation of 1,2,4-thiadiazinane 1,1-dioxides from reaction of β-aminoethane sulfonamides with dichloromethane, dibromomethane and formaldehyde as methylene donors. The β-aminoethane sulfonamides were obtained through sequential Michael addition of amines to α,β-unsaturated ethenesulfonyl fluorides followed by further DBU mediated sulfur(vi) fluoride exchange (SuFEx) reaction with amines at the S-F bond.

Abstract
2-Vinylbenzofurans have been synthesized via the copper-catalyzed one-pot, three-component reactions of o-iodophenols, in situ generated allenes, and dichloromethane. Cascade transformation of oxa-Michael addition, C-arylation, and sp(3)C-H/sp(3)C-Cl conversion-based vinylation has been involved in realizing the construction of this 2-vinylbenzofuran framework.
