Abstract
We fabricated an efficient Pd@HKUST-1@Cu(II)/CMC composite bead catalyst through an innovative strategy based on the unique properties of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and carboxymethylcellulose (CMC). In this strategy, HKUST-1 MOFs were grown in-situ on the surface of micrometer-sized Cu-based CMC beads (Cu(II)/CMC), then Pd(II) ions were incorporated into the pores of the MOF and further be partially reduced to Pd(0) NPs, which is an active species for oxidative addition with aryl halides in Sonogashira reactions. The micron-sized Cu(II)/CMC beads were formed through inter/intramolecularly crosslinking facilitated by Cu(II) ions, which was achieved by the metathesis of Cu(II) with numerous carboxylic groups of CMC. Such Cu(II)/CMC bead offers many Cu(II) ions as interaction sites for in-situ nucleation and growth of HKUST-1 MOFs. The architecture and composition of the prepared Pd@HKUST-1@Cu(II)/CMC composite were fully verified by various techniques such as FTIR, XRD, TGA, BET, XPS, SEM, TEM, EDX, and elemental mapping analysis. This novel composite bead was applied as an efficient and reusable heterogeneous Pd/Cu bimetallic catalyst for Sonogashira reactions, decarbonylative Sonogashira reaction, and Sonogashira cyclization tandem reactions. The catalyst is readily isolated by simple filtration, and can be reused for five consecutive runs with retaining its activity and structural integrity.

Abstract
Based on a halopalladation strategy, we successfully developed a haloesterification reaction of propargylic amides to synthesize a diverse range of 5-(halomethylene)oxazolidine-2,4-diones. This reaction demonstrates good yield and compatibility with various functional groups. Notably, the halogen atoms present in the resulting products can be readily substituted by other functional groups, highlighting the versatility and appeal of this method. Additionally, we have achieved the successful cyclizative dimerization of propargylic amides to produce bisoxazolidine-2,4-dione derivatives.

Abstract
Utilization of oxime ethers as bifunctional reagents remains unknown. Herein, we present a mechanistically distinct strategy that enables oximesulfonylation of olefins using sulfonyl-oxime-ethers as bifunctional reagents under metal-free photochemical conditions. Via concomitant C-S and C-C bond formation, the process permits incorporation of oxime and sulfonyl groups into olefins in a complete atom-economic fashion, providing rapid access to multi-functionalized β-sulfonyl oxime ethers with good yields and stereoselectivity. The method is amenable to functionalization of complex bioactive molecules and is shown to be scalable. A radical chain mechanism initiated via photochemical Hydrogen Atom Transfer (HAT) mediated N-O bond cleavage is suggested for the process, based on our results on mechanistic investigations.

Abstract
AbstractCoupling reactions stand amid the most significant reactions in synthetic organic chemistry. Of late, these coupling strategies are being viewed as a versatile synthetic tool for a wide range of organic transformations in many sectors of chemistry, ranging from indispensable synthetic scaffolds and natural products of biological significance to novel organic materials. Further, the use of dual-catalysis in accomplishing various interesting cross-coupling transformations is an emerging field in synthetic organic chemistry, owing to their high catalytic performance rather than the use of a single catalyst. In recent years, synthetic organic chemists have given considerable attention to hetero-dual catalysis; wherein these catalytic systems have been employed for the construction of versatile carbon–carbon [C(sp

Therefore, in this mini-review, we are emphasizing recently developed various cross-coupling reactions catalysed by transition-metal dual-catalysis (i.e., using palladium and copper catalysts, but omitting the reports on photoredox/metal catalysis).1 Introduction2 Cu/Pd-Catalysed Bond Formation2.1 Pd/Cu-Catalysed C(sp

Abstract
Gold complexes have emerged as the catalysts of choice for various functionalization reactions of C-C multiple bonds due to their inherent carbophilic nature. In a parallel space, efforts to realize less accessible cross-coupling reactivity have led to the development of various strategies that facilitate the arduous Au(i)/Au(iii) redox cycle. The interplay of the two important reactivity modes encountered in gold catalysis, namely carbophilic activation and Au(i)/Au(iii) catalysis, has allowed the development of a novel mechanistic paradigm that sponsors 1,2-difunctionalization reactions of various C-C multiple bonds. Interestingly, the reactivity as well as selectivity obtained through this interplay could be complementary to that obtained by the use of various other transition metals that mainly involved the classical oxidative addition/migratory insertion pathways. The present review shall comprehensively cover all the 1,2-difunctionalization reactions of C-C multiple bonds that have been realized by the interplay of the two important reactivity modes and categorized on the basis of the method that has been employed to foster the Au(i)/Au(iii) redox cycle.

Abstract
The regio- and diastereoselective synthesis of oxazolidinones via a Pd-catalyzed vicinal C-N/C-Cl bond-forming reaction from internal alkenes of allylic carbamates is reported. The oxazolidinones are obtained in yields of 44 to 95% with high to excellent diastereoselectivities (from 6 : 1 to >20 : 1 dr) from readily available precursors. This process is scalable, and the products are suitable for the synthesis of useful amino alcohols. A detailed theoretical and experimental mechanistic study was carried out to describe that the reaction proceeds through an anti-aminopalladation of the alkene followed by an oxidative C-Pd(ii) cleavage with retention of the carbon stereochemistry to yield the major diastereomer. The role of Cu(ii) in a C-Cl bond-forming mechanism step has also been proposed.

Abstract
A novel and efficient Brønsted acid-promoted hydroamination of hydrazone-tethered olefins has been developed. A variety of pyrazolines have been easily obtained in good to excellent yields with high chemo- and regioselectivity under simple and mild conditions. This method represents a straightforward, facile, and practical approach toward biologically important 5-arylpyrazolines, which are difficult to access by previously reported radical hydroamination of β,γ-unsaturated hydrazones. An efficient, chemo- and regioselective Brønsted acid-promoted hydroamination reaction of hydrazone-tethered olefins towards 5-arylpyrazolines was developed.![]()

Abstract
In the quest for efficient and recyclable heterogeneous catalysts for Sonogashira coupling reactions, a PEG-OMe (Methoxy Polyene Glycol) - mediated method was developed to immobilize Pd/Cu bimetallic nanoparticles on activated carbon (AC). Catalytic experiments showed that Pd/Cu@AC prepared in a PEG-OMe 500 had the highest activity. The morphology and composition of the catalyst were determined, and the identified crystallized and heterometallic nanoparticles of Pd/Cu were essential for an efficient catalytic cycle. The Pd/Cu@AC catalyst was successfully used in Sonogashira reactions (21 examples) including with aryl bromides as the coupling partner in EtOH at 80–100 °C. The catalyst was recycled at least nine times.

Abstract
We recently developed an oxidative intramolecular 1,2-amino-oxygenation reaction, combining gold(I)/gold(III) catalysis, for accessing structurally unique ionic pyridinium-oxazole dyads (PODs) with tunable emission wavelengths. On further investigation, these fluorophores turned out to be potential biomarkers; in particular, the one containing -NMe2 functionality (NMe2-POD) was highly selective for mitochondrial imaging. Of note, because of mitochondria's involvement in early-stage apoptosis and degenerative conditions, tracking the dynamics of mitochondrial morphology with such imaging technology has attracted much interest. Along this line, we wanted to build a library of such PODs which are potential mitochondria trackers. However, Au/Selecfluor, our first-generation catalyst system, suffers from undesired fluorination of electronically rich PODs resulting in an inseparable mixture (1:1) of the PODs and their fluorinated derivatives. In our attempt to search for a better alternative to circumvent this issue, we developed a second-generation approach for the synthesis of PODs by employing Cu(II)/PhI(OAC)2-mediated oxidative 1,2-amino-oxygenation of alkynes. Thes newly synthesized PODs exhibit tunable emissions as well as excellent quantum efficiency up to 0.96. Further, this powerful process gives rapid access to a library of NMe2-PODs which are potential mitochondrial imaging agents. Out of the library, the randomly chosen POD-3g was studied for cell-imaging experiments which showed high mitochondrial specificity, superior photostability, and appreciable tolerance to microenvironment changes with respect to commercially available MitoTracker green.

Abstract
An efficient and step-economical copper-mediated intra-/intermolecular aminoacyloxylation of β,γ-unsaturated hydrazones has been developed. Copper carboxylates serve as both reaction promoters and carboxylate sources in these easily conducted reactions. This method provides straightforward access to diversely useful acyloxyl pyrazolines, which are hard to access traditionally, in good to excellent yields.

Abstract
A radical-mediated oxidative cross-coupling of readily accessible α-alkylated styrenes with 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds utilizing a combination of Cu(OAc)2 and air as a catalytic system is described. Rather than requiring α-halocarbonyl compounds, this efficient approach enables direct installation of tertiary functionalized alkyl motifs to olefins with simple carbonyl derivatives. The novel protocol is characterized with high allylic selectivities via a competing β-H elimination. Both radical-clock and -trapping experiments provided clear-cut evidence for the intermediacy of an α-keto carbon-centered radical.
