Abstract
An iron-catalyzed selective N=S coupling of N-methoxy amides and sulfoxides has been developed and was found to be a highly efficient method for the synthesis of N-acyl sulfoximines. Electron-donating as well as electron-withdrawing groups on the phenyl ring are tolerated, and even sensitive substituents are compatible. The current catalytic transformation was conducted under an air atmosphere and can be easily scaled up to a gram scale with a catalyst loading of only 1 mol %. In this case, both coupling partners are used in their native forms, thus obviating prior functionalization and activation.

Abstract
An iodine-promoted C═C bond cleavage with concomitant decarboxylation and cross-coupling between cinnamic acids and NH-sulfoximines has been developed. This reaction proceeds via selective C═C bond cleavage, followed by decarboxylation and oxidative sulfoximidation. This metal- and base-free protocol involves dioxygen as the source of oxygen, which is facilitated by tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) as the oxidant affording N-aroylated sulfoximines with good functional group tolerance and good yields.

Abstract
An electrochemical oxidative cross-coupling strategy for the synthesis of N-sulfenylsulfoximines from sulfoximines and thiols was accomplished, giving diverse N-sulfenylsulfoximines in moderate to good yields. Moreover, this strategy can be extended to construct the N-P bond of N-phosphinylated sulfoximines. With electrons as reagents, the oxidative dehydrogenation cross-coupling reaction proceeds smoothly in the absence of traditional redox reagents.

Abstract
The electrochemical synthesis of N-aroylsulfoximines features the use of tetra-n-butylammonium iodide (TBAI) as the medium and a broad substrate scope, thus affording a wide range of N-aroylated sulfoximines in moderate to good yields. The advantages of this electrochemical strategy are augmented by mild reaction conditions that are external oxidant-free, ligand-free, and easy to scale up to gram scale. Both the control experiments and the mechanistic studies revealed that the whole electrochemical process proceeded through a palladium (II/IV/II) catalytic cycle.

Abstract
Here, we report a silver-mediated coupling of acetylenes with sulfoximines to synthesize N-α-ketoacyl sulfoximines and N-α,β-unsaturated acyl sulfoximines. The reactions are performed under an open atmosphere using the oxidant K2S2O8 and the ligand 2,2-bipyridyl. However, the fate of the product formation is controlled by the type of substrate used. The coupling between aryl acetylenes and sulfoximines afforded the N-α-ketoacylsulfoximines, while the alkyl acetylenes provided the N-α,β-unsaturated acyl sulfoximines. Controlled experiments reveal the differential reactivity patterns of substrates. The labeling 18O experiments showed that water is the source of the incoming oxygen atom for the keto group of N-α-ketoacyl sulfoximines and N-α,β-unsaturated acyl sulfoximines.

Abstract
A photochemical approach for the preparation of α-keto-N-acyl sulfoximines from NH sulfoximines and gem-difluoroalkenes has been developed. In the presence of NBS, the reactions proceed in air without the need of a photocatalyst or additional oxidant. Results of mechanistic studies suggest that the two oxygens in the products stem from water and dioxygen.

Abstract
Visible light induces C-C-bond cleavage reactions of ketones, which can be utilized for N-acylations of sulfoximines. No (photo)catalyst is required, and the reactions occur at ambient temperature in air. The substrate scope is broad for both ketones and sulfoximines. For converting NH-sulfoximines, the presence of NBS is essential.

Abstract
Vinyl sulfones and sulfonamides are valued for their use as electrophilic warheads in covalent protein inhibitors. Conversely, the S(VI) aza-isosteres thereof, vinyl sulfoximines and sulfonimidamides, are far less studied and have yet to be applied to the field of protein bioconjugation. Herein, we report a range of different synthetic methodologies for constructing vinyl sulfoximine and vinyl sulfonimidamide architectures that allows access to new areas of electrophilic chemical space. We demonstrate how late-stage functionalization can be applied to these motifs to incorporate alkyne tags, generating fully functionalized probes for future chemical biology applications. Finally, we establish a workflow for determining the absolute configuration of enantioenriched vinyl sulfoximines and sulfonimidamides by comparing experimentally and computationally determined electronic circular dichroism spectra, enabling access to configurationally assigned enantiomeric pairs by separation.

Abstract
Various β-indolyl sulfoximidoyl amides were efficiently prepared from ortho-iodoanilines, propargyl bromides, 1 atm of CO, and substituted NH-sulfoximines, through a palladium-catalyzed indole annulation/carbonyl insertion/C-N bond formation cascade. Mostly good to high yields of the products were obtained through this multi-step, one-pot reaction protocol under very gentle reaction conditions. The obtained β-indolyl sulfoximidoyl amides could be converted into biologically interesting sulfoximine analogues that contain a tryptamine moiety.

A versatile method for the synthesis of enantioenriched N-H sulfoximines is reported. The approach stems from the organomagnesium-mediated ring opening of novel cyclic sulfonimidate templates. The reactions proceed in high yield and with excellent stereofidelity with alkyl, aryl, and heteroaryl Grignard reagents. The chiral auxiliary is readily removed from the resultant sulfoximines via an unusual oxidative debenzylation protocol that utilizes molecular oxygen as the terminal oxidant. This provides a general strategy for the synthesis of highly enantioenriched N-H sulfoximines.

Abstract
A rhodium(III)-catalyzed direct C-H alkynylation of a wide range of N-methylsulfoximines with (bromoethynyl)triisopropylsilane has been developed. This protocol is compatible with both (S,S)-diaryl sulfoximines and (S,S)-alkyl aryl sulfoximines, and shows mild conditions, and good functional group tolerance. The synthetic utility of this method has been demonstrated by subsequent various transformations of the products.

Abstract
The direct C-H/N-H dehydrogenative cross-coupling of NH-sulfoximines with electron-rich arenes was realized by oxidative visible-light photoredox catalysis, applying 9-mesityl-10-methylacridinium perchlorate as an organic photocatalyst. Sulfoximines display diverse desirable properties for medicinal chemistry and the pharmaceutical industry. However, their preparation is still challenging. Our reaction proceeds without sacrificial oxidant, at room temperature and is highly selective for the C-N bond forming reaction. The scope of the reaction includes mono- and multi-alkylated and halogenated arenes, which are reacted with aromatic and aliphatic electron-rich and electron-poor NH-sulfoximines, giving moderate to excellent yields of the N-arylated sulfoximines. In addition, we successfully conducted the developed reaction on a gram scale (1.5 g). Mechanistic investigations show that both arene and NH-sulfoximine interact with the excited-state of the photocatalyst. We propose a radical-based mechanism, where both the arene and the NH-sulfoximine are photo-oxidized to their respective radical intermediates. Radical-radical cross-coupling subsequently leads to the N-arylated sulfoximine. Two electrons and two protons are released during the reaction and are subsequently converted into H2 by a proton-reducing cobalt-catalyst.

Abstract
A TBHP-mediated dehydrogenative cross-oxidative-coupling approach has been developed for the synthesis of N-arylbenzamides from methylarenes and acetanilides. This cross-coupling method is free of transition metal catalysts and ligands, and no extra organic solvents are required, which make it an useful and attractive strategy for the straightforward construction of C–N bonds. Besides, this conversion is an important complement to the conventional C–N forming strategies.

Abstract
A new system for NH transfer is developed for the preparation of sulfoximines, which are emerging as valuable motifs for drug discovery. The protocol employs readily available sources of nitrogen without the requirement for either preactivation or for metal catalysts. Mixing ammonium salts with diacetoxyiodobenzene directly converts sulfoxides into sulfoximines. This report describes the first example of using of ammonia sources with diacetoxyiodobenzene to generate an electrophilic nitrogen center. Control and mechanistic studies suggest a short-lived electrophilic intermediate, which is likely to be PhINH or PhIN(+) .
