Abstract
Ionic liquids (ILs) are a class of liquid salts with characteristics such as a low melting point, an ionic nature, non-volatility, and tunable properties. Because of their adaptability, they have a significant influence in the field of fluorescence. This paper reviews the primary literature on the use of ILs in fluorescence sensing technologies. The kind of target material is utilized to classify the fluorescence sensors made with the use of ILs. They include using ILs as probes for metals, nitro explosives, small organic compounds, anions, and gases. The efficacy of an IL-based fluorescence sensor depends on the precise design to guarantee specificity, sensitivity, and a consistent reaction to the desired analyte. The precise method can differ depending on the chemical properties of the IL, the choice of fluorophore, and the interactions with the analyte. Overall, the viability of the aforementioned materials for chemical analysis is evaluated, and prospective possibilities for further development are identified.

Abstract
AbstractWe report the synthesis and structural, spectroscopic and magnetic properties of new 1D coordination polymeric complex {[Cu(μ-l-Arg)2]SO4⋅1.5H2O}n (1) that contains asymmetric μ−O,O’ carboxylic bridge linking distorted square-pyramidal [Cu(μ-l-Arg)2]2+ coordination units. In 1D, the syn−anti−μ2−η1:η1zigzag polymer conformation, the adjacent Cu(II) ions are distanced by 5.707 Å, and the subsequent Cu∙∙∙Cu proximity in 1D-coordination chain equals 6.978 Å. Detailed interpretation of IR and Raman spectra of l-arginine and 1 was performed. The principal components of the g tensor determined from EPR experiments (gx = 2.059, gy = 2.075, gz = 2.228) indicate nearly axial symmetry of Cu(II) coordination sphere and correspond to the unpaired electron occupying the dx2–y2 orbital. The single broad band at 16,200 cm–1, characteristic of d−d transition, is assigned to the dominant dublet-dublet 2B1g(dx2–y2)→ 2Eg(dyz≈dxz) transition. Magnetic susceptibility measurements have revealed ferromagnetic coupling between the Cu(II) ions within the 1D-coordination chain, while the intermolecular coupling is antiferromagnetic.

Abstract
The reaction of MnCl2, 2-(5-{6-[5-(Pyrazin-2-yl)-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl]pyridin-2-yl}-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)pyrazine (H2ptptp), 4,4′-sulfonyldibenzoic acid (H2sdba) or 4-(4-carboxyphenoxy)phthalate acid (H3cpop) and [BMI]Br ionic liquids (BMI = 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium) gave rise to two complexes, {[Mn4(ptptp)2(sdba)2(H2O)2]·2H2O}n (1) and {[Mn3(ptptp)(cpop)Br(H2O)2]·2H2O}n (2). The compounds have been well characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, thermogravimetric analysis, as well as single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction. The structure feature of 1 is that Mn(II) ions in the [Mn6(sdba)2] loops of V-shaped sdba2− ligands are ptptp2− ligands, respectively, and a 2D layer is constructed from sdba2− and ptptp2− ligands. The adjacent 2D layers are connected by O–H⋯N hydrogen bonds to form a 3D supramolecular network. The neighbouring trinuclear Mn(II) clusters in 2 are linked by V-shaped cpop3− ligands to give a 2D layer, which is penetrated by ptptp2− ligands to form self-threading structure. The results of variable-temperature magnetic studies have shown that the magnetic interactions between the Mn(II) ions in 1 and 2 are mainly due to antiferromagnetic coupling.

Abstract
Abstract
Reactions of lanthanide nitrate, 1,3,5-benzenetrisbnzoic acid (H3BTB) and [RMI]Br ionic liquids (RMI = 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium; R = ethyl, propyl or butyl), gave rise to six novel lanthanide–organic frameworks (LOFs) [Ln(BTB)H2O], where Ln = Nd 1, Sm 2, Gd 3, Dy 4, Ho 5 and Er 6. These compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, thermogravimetric analysis, single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction. Compounds 1–6 are isostructural and consist of infinite rod-shaped lanthanide-carboxylate building units, which are further bridged by trigonal-planar BTB ligands to give non-interpenetrated open 3D frameworks. The results of variable-temperature magnetic studies have shown that the magnetic interaction between the Ln(III) ions in 3, 5 and 6 is mainly due to antiferromagnetic coupling as well as the depopulation of the Stark levels.

Abstract
Effective detection of organic/inorganic pollutants, such as antibiotics, nitro-compounds, excessive Fe3+ and MnO4 - , is crucial for human health and environmental protection. Here, a new terbium(III)-organic framework, namely [Tb(TATAB)(H2 O)]⋅2H2 O (Tb-MOF, H3 TATAB=4,4',4''-s-triazine-1,3,5-triyltri-m-aminobenzoic acid), was assembled and characterized. The Tb-MOF exhibits a water-stable 3D bnn framework. Due to the existence of competitive absorption, Tb-MOF has a high selectivity for detecting Fe3+ , MnO4 - , 4-nirophenol and nitroimidazole (ronidazole, metronidazole, dimetridazole, ornidazole) in aqueous through luminescent quenching. The results suggest that Tb-MOF is a simple and reliable reagent with multiple sensor responses in practical applications. To the best of our knowledge, this work represents the first TbIII -based MOF as an efficient fluorescent sensor for detecting metal ions, inorganic anions, nitro-compounds, and antibiotics simultaneously.

Abstract
Polynuclear manganese compounds have garnered interest as mimics and models of the water oxidizing complex (WOC) in photosystem II and as single molecule magnets. Molecular systems in which composition can be correlated to physical phenomena, such as magnetic exchange interactions, remain few primarily because of synthetic limitations. Here, we report the synthesis of a family of trimanganese(II) complexes of the type Mn3X3L (X = Cl-, H-, and MeO-) where L3- is a tris(β-diketiminate) cyclophane. The tri(chloride) complex (2) is structurally similar to the reported tri(bromide) complex (1) with the Mn3X3 core having a ladder-like arrangement of alternating M-X rungs, whereas the tri(μ-hydride) (3) and tri(μ-methoxide) (4) complexes contain planar hexagonal cores. The hydride and methoxide complexes are synthesized in good yield (48% and 56%) starting with the bromide complex employing a metathesis-like strategy. Compounds 2-4 were characterized by combustion analysis, X-ray crystallography, X-band EPR spectroscopy, SQUID magnetometry, and infrared and UV-visible spectroscopy. Magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate that the Mn3 clusters in 2-4 are antiferromagnetically coupled, and the spin ground state of the compounds (S = 3/2 (1, 2) or S = 1/2 (3, 4)) is correlated to the identity of the bridging ligand and structural arrangement of the Mn3X3 core (X = Br, Cl, H, OCH3). Electrochemical experiments on isobutyronitrile solutions of 3 and 4 display broad irreversible oxidations centered at 0.30 V.

Abstract
Five d10 coordination polymers (CPs) have been successfully isolated. Central-metal exchange in CP 2 leads to a series of isostructural M(ii)–Cd CPs (M = Cu, Co, Ni) showing improved catalytic activity.
