Abstract
A regioselective halogenation of p-benzyne derived from a nonaromatic enediyne core via Bergman cyclization and Suzuki-Miyaura coupling of the resulting haloarene in one-pot is disclosed. For the one-pot protocol to work, the reaction conditions were modified compared to an earlier reported procedure ( J. Org. Chem. 2019 , 84 , 2911 - 2921 ) by reducing the amount of lithium iodide and exclusion of pivalic acid. Under these modified conditions, the products, benzo-fused tetrahydroisoquinoline-based biaryl derivatives were obtained in overall high to excellent yields (71-90%).

Abstract
A simple and efficient access to arylboronates was achieved with methanol-initiated borylation of aryldiazonium salts. Reduction of aryldiazonium ions by single electron transfer from methanol affords aryl radical species, which undergo a subsequent C–B bond formation with bis(pinacolato)diboron. This highly practical borylation process, which can be carried out on the gram-scale, enjoys operational simplicity as well as mild and catalyst-free conditions.

Abstract
We describe the first one-pot borylation/Suzuki-Miyaura sp2-sp3 cross-coupling between readily available aryl (pseudo)halides and activated alkyl chlorides. This method streamlines the synthesis of diaryl methanes, α-aryl carbonyls and allyl aryl compounds, substructures that are commonly found in life changing drug molecules.

Abstract
Although known for over 90 years, only in the past two decades has the chemistry of diboron(4) compounds been extensively explored. Many interesting structural features and reaction patterns have emerged, and more importantly, these compounds now feature prominently in both metal-catalyzed and metal-free methodologies for the formation of B-C bonds and other processes.
