Abstract
Isoreticular metal-organic framework-3 (IRMOF-3), a porous coordination polymer, is an MOF material with the characteristics of a large specific surface area and adjustable pore size. Due to the existence of the active amino group (-NH2) on the organic ligand, IRMOF-3 has more extensive research and application potential. Herein, the main preparation methods of IRMOF-3 in existing research were compared and discussed first. Second, we classified and summarized the functionalization modification of IRMOF-3 based on different reaction mechanisms. In addition, the expanded research and progress of IRMOF-3 and their derivatives in catalysis, hydrogen storage, material adsorption and separation, carrier materials, and fluorescence detection were discussed from an application perspective. Moreover, the industrialization prospect of IRMOF-3 and the pressing problems in its practical application were analyzed and prospected. This review is expected to provide a reference for the design and application of more new nanomaterials based on IRMOF-3 to develop more advanced functional materials in industrial production and engineering applications.

Abstract
Activated carbon (AC) is a broad-spectrum adsorbent but is flammable and has low adsorption capacities for polar and/or high-boiling volatile organic compounds (VOCs), while zeolites exhibit high thermal stability but poor adsorption of macromolecular and nonpolar VOCs. In this study, zeolite/AC composites were synthesized with the aim of obtaining broad-spectrum, efficient, and safe adsorbents for VOCs. Dimethyldiallylammonium chloride (DDA)-modified AC was used as a carrier for an in situ hydrothermal reaction enabling assembly with zeolites due to electrostatic attraction. Interface models were constructed for their phases, which revealed the binding force and simulated the binding process. The adsorption and flame resistance of the composites were evaluated. The results showed that DDA effectively modified AC to give it a long-lasting positive charge in solutions. High-silicon and pure-silicon zeolites exhibited low negative charges or were even neutral; it was difficult to combine with the modified AC via electrostatic attractions. Instead, LTA zeolites with high aluminum contents and negative charges were used, and the seed-induction method was used. Ethanol and ultrasonic dispersion were used to prevent agglomeration of the seeds and modified AC powder, so they were self-assembled electrostatically. Moreover, the crystallization time was extended and composites with high zeolite loadings were successfully prepared. According to the model calculation, the binding energy between the zeolite and AC before and after the DDA modification were 324.97 and 1076.46 kcal mol-1, respectively, and the distance between them was shortened by 2.7 Å after DDA treatment. As a result, AC and zeolite combined more closely and exhibited a stronger binding energy. The adsorption capacity for highly polar dichloromethane was improved by zeolite loading on the AC, and the bed penetration time was doubled. However, impregnation with inorganic sodium enhanced the reactivities of the organic components in the composite, and the ignition point was slightly reduced. Furthermore, the electrostatic self-assembly method can expand to prepare the LTA zeolite/columnar AC composite from shaped AC, greatly improving its application prospects.

Abstract
Frequent use of antibiotics and the growth of industry lead to the pollution of several natural resources which is one of the major consequences for fatality to human health. Exploration of smart sensing materials is highly anticipated for ultrasensitive detection of those hazardous organics. The robust porous hydrogen bonded network encompassing a free-NH2 moiety, Zn(II)-based metal-organic framework (MOF) (1), is used for the selective detection of antibiotics and toxic oxo-anions at the ppb level. The framework is able to detect the electronically dissimilar antibiotic sulfadiazine and nitrofurazone via fluorescence "turn-on" and "turn-off" processes, respectively. The antibiotic-triggered reversible fluoro-switching phenomena (fluorescence "on-off-on") are also observed by using the fluorimetric method. An extensive theoretical investigation was performed to establish the fluoro-switching response of 1, triggered by a class of antibiotics and also the sensing of oxo-anions. This investigation reveals that the interchange of the HOMO-LUMO energy levels of fluorophore and analytes is responsible for such a fluoro-switchable sensing activity. Sensor 1 showed the versatile detection ability which is reflected by the detection of a carcinogenic nitro-group-containing drug "roxarsone". In view of the sustainable environment along with quick-responsive merit of 1, an in situ MOF gel composite (1@CS; CS = corn starch) is prepared using 1 and CS due to its useful potential features such as biocompatibility, toxicologically innocuous, good flexibility, and low commercial price. The MOF composite exhibited visual detection of the above analytes as well as antibiotic-triggered reversible fluoro-switchable colorimetric "on-off-on" response. Therefore, 1@CS represents a promising smart sensing material for monitoring of the antibiotics and oxo-anions, particularly appropriate for the real-field analysis of carcinogenic drug molecule "roxarsone" in food specimens.

Catalytic ozonation of CH 2Cl 2 over hollow urchin-like MnO 2 with regulation of active oxygen by catalyst modification and ozone promotion. JOURNAL OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS 2022; 436:129217. Abstract
This paper firstly reported efficient catalytic ozonation of CH2Cl2 (dichloromethane, DCM) at low temperature over hollow urchin-like MnO2 with high chlorine resistance. Regulations on morphologies and Cu doping, as well as ozone promotion were conducted to optimize active oxygen of MnO2 catalysts, contributing to excellent catalytic behaviors. Cu doping MnO2 with hollow urchin-like morphology attained a stable 100% DCM conversion with O3/DCM molar ratio of 10 at 120 °C. The ozone utilization rate, final products, and byproducts distribution were discussed. Abundant crystal defects, low-valance Mn/Cu, Oads, and weak acidity, as well as better low temperature reducibility contributed to its superior performance. During DCM catalytic ozonation, DCM oxidation exhibited competitive effect on O3 decomposition due to the occupation of intermediates (CH2ClO3·, O-CH2Cl, and O-CH2 -O) over active sites that should belong to O3 originally. Nevertheless, O3 decomposition exhibited synergistic effects on DCM oxidation with promotion on active oxygen. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations confirmed the positive effect on oxygen vacancy formation and O3/DCM adsorption from Cu doping. The possible mechanism for DCM catalytic ozonation included four parts, including O3/DCM adsorption, O3 activation, DCM oxidation, and electron replenishment. This paper provides new insight for catalytic elimination of chlorinated alkanes at mild conditions.

Abstract
Due to the strong electron-withdrawing nature of Cl atom in CCl4, CCl4 could not readily be degraded by oxidation process. In the present study, aqueous electron (eaq -), a powerful reducing agent generated in UV-Na2SO3 system, was applied to reductively degradation of CCl4. The effects of several crucial factors (e.g. Na2SO3 concentration, solution pH, inorganic ions and NOM) on CCl4 degradation as well as degradation mechanism and pathway were systematically investigated. Results indicated that CCl4 was efficiently degraded in UV-Na2SO3 system and the process could be well described by pseudo-first order kinetic model. The degradation rate increased with the elevated Na2SO3 concentration (0-10 mmol/L) and solution pH (6.0-8.0), while remained approximately constant in alkaline conditions (pH = 8.0, 9.0 and 10.0). Nevertheless, O2, inorganic ions and NOM exerted a negative effect on CCl4 degradation and the removal efficiency of CCl4 in groundwater was only 31.7%. Mechanistic study implied that degradation of CCl4 was primarily induced by eaq -. CCl4 (10 mg/L) was almost completely dechlorinated within 60 min and the predominant intermediate products were CHCl3, C2Cl4 and C2HCl3. CHCl3 and CH2Cl2 were also rapidly degraded in the UV-Na2SO3 system.

Abstract
The quest for advanced designer adsorbents for air filtration and monitoring hazardous trace gases has recently been more and more driven by the need to ensure clean air in indoor, outdoor, and industrial environments. How to increase safety with regard to personal protection in the event of hazardous gas exposure is a critical question for an ever-growing population spending most of their lifetime indoors, but is also crucial for the chemical industry in order to protect future generations of employees from potential hazards. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are already quite advanced and promising in terms of capacity and specific affinity to overcome limitations of current adsorbent materials for trace and toxic gas adsorption. Due to their advantageous features (e.g., high specific surface area, catalytic activity, tailorable pore sizes, structural diversity, and range of chemical and physical properties), MOFs offer a high potential as adsorbents for air filtration and monitoring of hazardous trace gases. Three advanced topics are considered here, in applying MOFs for selective adsorption: (i) toxic gas adsorption toward filtration for respiratory protection as well as indoor and cabin air, (ii) enrichment of hazardous gases using MOFs, and (iii) MOFs as sensors for toxic trace gases and explosives.
