Abstract
Copper tin sulfide, Cu4SnS4 (CTS), a ternary transition-metal chalcogenide with unique properties, including superior electrical conductivity, distinct crystal structure, and high theoretical capacity, is a potential candidate for supercapacitor (SC) electrode materials. However, there are few studies reporting the application of Cu4SnS4 or its composites as electrode materials for SCs. The reported performance of the Cu4SnS4 electrode is insufficient regarding cycle stability, rate capability, and specific capacity; probably resulting from poor electrical conductivity, restacking, and agglomeration of the active material during continued charge-discharge cycles. Such limitations can be overcome by incorporating graphene as a support material and employing a binder-free, facile, electrodeposition technique. This work reports the fabrication of a copper tin sulfide-reduced graphene oxide/nickel foam composite electrode (CTS-rGO/NF) through stepwise, facile electrodeposition of rGO and CTS on a NF substrate. Electrochemical evaluations confirmed the enhanced supercapacitive performance of the CTS-rGO/NF electrode compared to that of CTS/NF. A remarkably improved specific capacitance of 820.83 F g-1 was achieved for the CTS-rGO/NF composite electrode at a current density of 5 mA cm-2, which is higher than that of CTS/NF (516.67 F g-1). The CTS-rGO/NF composite electrode also exhibited a high-rate capability of 73.1% for galvanostatic charge-discharge (GCD) current densities, ranging from 5 to 12 mA cm-2, and improved cycling stability with over a 92% capacitance retention after 1000 continuous GCD cycles; demonstrating its excellent performance as an electrode material for energy storage applications, encompassing SCs. The enhanced performance of the CTS-rGO/NF electrode could be attributed to the synergetic effect of the enhanced conductivity and surface area introduced by the inclusion of rGO in the composite.

Abstract
There is increasing demand for tailored molecular inks that produce phase-pure solution-processed semiconductor films. Within the Cu-Sn-S phase space, Cu2SnS3 belongs to the I2-IV-VI3 class of semiconductors that crystallizes in several different polymorphs. We report the ability of thiol-amine solvent mixtures to dissolve inexpensive bulk Cu2S and SnO precursors to generate free-flowing molecular inks. Upon mild annealing, polymorphic control over phase-pure tetragonal (I4̅2m) and orthorhombic (Cmc21) Cu2SnS3 films was realized simply by switching the identity of the thiol (i.e., 1,2-ethanedithiol vs 2-mercaptoethanol, respectively). Polymorph control is dictated by differences in the resulting molecular metal-thiolate complexes and their subsequent decomposition profiles, which likely seed distinct Cu2-x S phases that template the ternary sulfide sublattice. The p-type tetragonal and orthorhombic Cu2SnS3 films possess similar experimental direct optical band gaps of 0.94 and 0.88 eV, respectively, and strong photoelectrochemical current responses. Understanding how ink formulation dictates polymorph choice should inform the development of other thiol-amine inks for solution-processed films.

Abstract
The paper reviews the state of the art in the synthesis of multinary (ternary, quaternary and more complex) metal chalcogenide nanocrystals (NCs) and their applications as a light absorbing or an auxiliary component of light-harvesting systems. This includes solid-state and liquid-junction solar cells and photocatalytic/photoelectrochemical systems designed for the conversion of solar light into the electric current or the accumulation of solar energy in the form of products of various chemical reactions. The review discusses general aspects of the light absorption and photophysical properties of multinary metal chalcogenide NCs, the modern state of the synthetic strategies applied to produce the multinary metal chalcogenide NCs and related nanoheterostructures, and recent achievements in the metal chalcogenide NC-based solar cells and the photocatalytic/photoelectrochemical systems. The review is concluded by an outlook with a critical discussion of the most promising ways and challenging aspects of further progress in the metal chalcogenide NC-based solar photovoltaics and photochemistry.

Abstract
A SeO2 ethanol solution as the facile precursor has been used for the preparation of quaternary Cu2ZnSnSe4 (CZTSe) nanoplates. Monodispersed single-phase CZTSe nanoplates have been prepared successfully by a facile one-pot thermal chemical method. The as-prepared CZTSe nanoplates show uniform morphology with a bandgap of ~ 1.4 eV. As a proof of concept, the CZTSe nanoplates have been used as a visible-light-driven photocatalyst for Rhodamine B dye degradation and show high photocatalytic activity and stability. The excellent dye removal is mainly ascribed to the efficient light utilization of CZTSe nanoplates.
