Abstract
We here reported a highly stereoselective method for the synthesis of polysubstituted conjugated dienes from α-aryl α-diazo alkynyl ketones and pyrazole-substituted unsymmetric aminals under mild conditions, which was promoted by photo-irridation and involved with 1,6-dipolar intermediate and quadruple sigmatropic rearrangements, was successfully developed. In this transformation, the cleavage of four bonds and the recombination of five bonds were implemented in one operational step. This protocol provided a modular tool for constructing dienes from amines, pyrazoles and α-alkynyl-α-diazoketones in one-pot manner. The results of mechanistic investigation indicated that the plausible reaction path underwent the 1,6-sigmatropic rearrangement instead of the 1,5-sigmatropic rearrangement.

Abstract
1,3-Dipolar cycloadditions of C,N-cyclic azomethine imines with γ-NHTs-α,β-unsaturated ketones were developed to synthesize tricyclic dinitrogen-fused heterocycles. Highly functionalized tricyclic tetrahydroisoquinolines were readily obtained in good to high yields in the [3 + 2]-cycloaddition reaction of N-Bz-protected C,N-cyclic azomethine imines with γ-NHTs-α,β-unsaturated ketones under mild reaction conditions. Moreover, DABCO-catalyzed cycloaddition of N-Ts-protected C,N-cyclic azomethine imines with γ-NHTs-α,β-unsaturated ketones followed by cleavage of the tosyl group is a convenient route to synthesize tetrahydropyrazolo [5,1-a]isoquinolines in good yields with excellent diastereoselectivities.

Abstract
Treatment of Mn(N(SiMe3)2)2(THF)2 with bulky chelating bis(alkoxide) ligand [1,1′:4′,1′′-terphenyl]-2,2′′-diylbis(diphenylmethanol) (H2[O-terphenyl-O]Ph) formed a seesaw manganese(II) complex Mn[O-terphenyl-O]Ph(THF)2, characterized by structural, spectroscopic, magnetic, and analytical methods. The reactivity of Mn[O-terphenyl-O]Ph(THF)2 with various nitrene precursors was investigated. No reaction was observed between Mn[O-terphenyl-O]Ph(THF)2 and aryl azides. In contrast, the treatment of Mn[O-terphenyl-O]Ph(THF)2 with iminoiodinane PhINTs (Ts = p-toluenesulfonyl) was consistent with the formation of a metal-nitrene complex. In the presence of styrene, the reaction led to the formation of aziridine. Combining varying ratios of styrene and PhINTs in different solvents with 10 mol% of Mn[O-terphenyl-O]Ph(THF)2 at room temperature produced 2-phenylaziridine in up to a 79% yield. Exploration of the reactivity of Mn[O-terphenyl-O]Ph(THF)2 with various olefins revealed (1) moderate aziridination yields for p-substituted styrenes, irrespective of the electronic nature of the substituent; (2) moderate yield for 1,1′-disubstituted α-methylstyrene; (3) no aziridination for aliphatic α-olefins; (4) complex product mixtures for the β-substituted styrenes. DFT calculations suggest that iminoiodinane is oxidatively added upon binding to Mn, and the resulting formal imido intermediate has a high-spin Mn(III) center antiferromagnetically coupled to an imidyl radical. This imidyl radical reacts with styrene to form a sextet intermediate that readily reductively eliminates the formation of a sextet Mn(II) aziridine complex.

Abstract
A palladium-catalyzed carbonylative [5+1] cycloaddition of N-tosyl vinylaziridines with CO has been developed. This protocol affords an efficient and practical approach for solvent-controlled divergent synthesis of α,β-unsaturated δ-lactams in dimethylformamide and β,γ-unsaturated δ-lactams in tetrahydrofuran in good to excellent yields. Significantly, the step- and atom-economical reactions are more regioselective toward [5+1] cycloaddition than toward [3+1] cycloaddition.

Abstract
A visible-light photoredox-catalyzed formal [5 + 1] cycloaddition of N-tosyl vinylaziridines with difluoroalkyl halides as unique C1 synthons was developed. The procedure provides an efficient and practical method to synthesize diverse pyridines in moderate to good yields. The reaction underwent a radical-initiated kinetically controlled ring-opening of vinylaziridines and involved a key α,β-unsaturated imine intermediate, followed by an E2 elimination, a 6π electrocyclization, and defluorinated aromatization.

Abstract
The Brønsted base promoted (3 + 1) annulation reaction of C,N-cyclic azomethine imines and 3-chlorooxindoles was investigated, finally delivering complex hexahydroindeno[2,1-c] pyrazoles incorporating a spirocyclic oxindole motif after an unexpected rearrangement process. The asymmetric version of this new transformation could be accomplished, but slow racemization of the chiral product was observed at ambient temperature. Experiments and DFT calculations were further conducted to elucidate the reaction process and racemization mechanism.

Abstract
A rhodium-catalyzed three-component reaction of diazo compounds, anilines and C,N-cyclic azomethine imines via trapping of transient ammonium ylides was developed. This reaction provided a simple and convenient approach for the synthesis of pharmaceutically intriguing tetrahydroisoquinoline derivatives in moderate to good yields (36-85%) with good diastereoselectivities (up to 95 : 5 dr) under mild reaction conditions.

Abstract
A cross 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of two different ylides between C,N-cyclic azomethine imines with an in situ-generated nonstabilized azomethine ylide from an N-benzyl precursor was realized. The reactions afforded a clean and facile access to diverse fused tricyclic 1,2,4-hexahydrotriazines in high yields (up to 96%). The chemical structures of the typical compounds were confirmed by X-ray single-crystal structure analysis.
