Abstract
In this study, a Fe3O4@SiO2@Cyt-Ni/Cu nanocomposite as a novel heterogeneous bimetallic catalyst was synthesized which exhibits efficient performance for the Sonogashira and C-N cross-coupling reactions. The characterization of the catalyst was studied by FT-IR, PXRD, VSM, EDX, TEM, FE-SEM and TGA analyses. The geometry optimization and relative energies of the designed bimetallic complexes were theoretically determined using density functional theory (DFT) calculation at the B3LYP/6-31G**/LANL2DZ level. The catalyst showed good activity in the coupling of various aryl halides with alkynes (Sonogashira reaction) as well as aryl halide with N-heterocycles and achieved coupling products with good to high yields for all of them in a short time. The high catalytic performance could be due to the synergistic effect between Ni and Cu, which causes the reaction to proceed more efficiently. This heterogeneous nanocatalyst could be easily recovered from the reaction mixture with an external magnet and reused for 7 consecutive runs with minimal loss of catalytic activity.

Abstract
A nanomagnetic hydrophilic heterogeneous copper catalyst, termed γ-Fe2O3@PEG@PAMAM G0-Cu, has been successfully prepared and characterized using FT-IR, XRD, FE-SEM, TEM, EDX, mapping, TGA/DTG, VSM and ICP analyses. The catalyst displayed excellent activity for the palladium-free Sonogashira cross coupling reaction of various aryl iodides and bromides with phenylacetylene derivatives in pure water. The presence of polyethylene glycol coupled with hydrophilic character of the Cu-catalyst adorned on γ-Fe2O3 MNPs provides the ready dispersion of the catalyst particles in water, leading to higher catalytic performance as well as facile catalyst recovery via simple magnetic decantation. The recovered catalyst was reused for at least six successive runs with little reduction in its catalytic activity and any noticeable changes in its structure. The use of water as a green solvent, without requiring any additive or organic solvent, as well as the exploitation of abundant and low-cost copper catalyst instead of expensive Pd catalyst along with the catalyst recovery and scalability, make this method favorable from environmental and economic points of view for the Sonogashira coupling reaction.

Abstract
A new, versatile, and green methodology has been developed for the efficient NaBH4-reduction of nitroarenes as well as the domino/reduction MCR preparation of 1-substituted-1H-1,2,3,4-tetrazoles using Pd(ii)-polysalophen coated magnetite NPs as an efficient heterogeneous magnetically recyclable nanocatalyst. Polysalophen was firstly prepared based on a triazine framework with a high degree of polymerization, then coordinated to Pd ions and, finally, the resulting hybrid was immobilized on magnetite NPs. The catalyst was characterized by various instrumental and analytical methods, including GPC, DLS, N2 adsorption-desorption, TGA, VSM, TEM, HRTEM, EDX, XPS, XRD, and ICP analyses. The catalyst possesses dual-functionality including the reduction of nitroarenes and the construction of tetrazole rings all in one step via a domino protocol. High to excellent yields were obtained for both nitro reduction and the direct preparation of 1-substituted-1H-1,2,3,4-tetrazoles from nitro compounds. Insight into the mechanism was conducted by XPS in situ as well as DLS in situ along with several control experiments. Recyclability of the catalyst was studied for 6 consecutive runs along with metal leaching measurements in each cycle.

Abstract
The Sonogashira reaction is a cross-coupling reaction of a vinyl or aryl halide with a terminal alkyne to form a C-C bond. In its original form, the Sonogashira reaction is performed with a palladium species as a catalyst while co-catalyzed by a copper species and a phosphine or amine. The reaction is conducted under mild conditions, i.e., room temperature, aqueous solutions, and the presence of mild bases. Undeniably, the Sonogashira reaction is among the most competent and efficient reactions widely used in organic synthesis. This named reaction has proved useful in many organic synthesis areas, including the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, heterocycles, natural products, organic compounds, complex molecules having biological activities, nanomaterials, and many more materials that we use in our daily lives. The presence of transition metals as a catalyst was indeed essential in the Sonogashira reaction. However, recently, the reaction has been successfully conducted without copper as a co-catalyst and phosphines or amines as bases. In this critical review, we have focused on developments in the Sonogashira reaction successfully performed in the absence of copper complexes, phosphines or amines, which could be of particular advantage in implementing green chemistry principles and making the reactions more achievable from an economic viewpoint.

Abstract
Domino oxidation-Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling of benzyl alcohols with phenylboronic acid and domino reduction-C-N cross-coupling of the nitro compounds with aryl halides were carried out using a strong Ni/Pd bimetallic redox catalyst. The catalyst bearing a copolymer with two Ni/Pd coordinated metals in porphyrin (derived from demetalated chlorophyll b) and salen-type ligands, and pyridine moiety as a base functionality all immobilized on magnetite NPs was synthesised and characterized. The domino oxidation cross-coupling reaction was accomplished under molecular O2 in the absence of any hydride acceptor or/and base. Also, the domino reduction C-N cross-coupling reaction was performed in the presence of NaBH4 without the need for any base and co-reductant. This multifunctional catalyst gave moderate to good yields for both coupling reactions with high chemoselectivity. A wide investigation was conducted to determine its mechanism and chemoselectivity.

Abstract
:
Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) were prepared via a chemical co-precipitation method. Then, the surface
of Fe3O4 MNPs was modified by (3-Chloropropyl)trimethoxysilane and then two Schiff-base complexes of zirconium oxide
and copper were stabilized on modified Fe3O4 MNPs. These catalysts were characterized using SEM, EDS, WDX, FTIR,
XRD, TGA, VSM and AAS techniques. The catalytic activity of these catalysts was described in the carbon-carbon coupling
reaction. VSM analysis of these catalysts indicate the high magnetic performance, therefor these catalysts can be recovered
by an external magnet and reused for several times without missing in the amount of catalysts. Reusability, excellent yields
and high TON values indicate the high efficiency of these catalysts. Leaching of these catalysts was studied by AAS which
leaching of copper or zirconium was not observed. Also, the stability of these catalysts was confirmed by characterization
of recovered catalysts and comparing with fresh catalysts.

Abstract
Herein, the synthesis and application of copper-incorporated sulfated zirconium oxide supported on CuFe2O4 NPs (CuFe2O4@SiO2@ZrO2/SO42−/Cu NPs) as a novel Lewis/Brønsted acid nanocatalyst were studied for the Sonogashira C–C cross-coupling reaction. The fabricated CuFe2O4@SiO2@ZrO2/SO42−/Cu catalyst exhibited efficient activity for a large variety of aryl iodides/bromides and, most importantly, aryl chlorides in water and in the presence of NaOH as a base in short reaction times. The catalyst was fully characterized by FTIR, TG-DTG, VSM, XRD, EDX, FE-SEM and TEM analyses. A synergetic effect could be considered to have arisen from the various Lewis acid and Brønsted acid sites present in the catalyst. The efficient incorporation of copper into zirconia provided a robust highly stable hybrid, which prevented any metal leaching, whether from the magnetite moiety and/or Cu sites in the reaction mixture. Moreover, the catalyst was successfully recovered from the mixture by a simple external magnet and reused for at least 9 consecutive runs. Zero metal leaching, stability, consistency with a variety of substrates, fast performance, cost-effectiveness, environmental friendliness, and preparation with accessible and cheap materials are some of the advantages and highlights of the current protocol. A mild and green protocol was developed by immobilizing copper-incorporated sulfated zirconium oxide on CuFe2O4 as an efficient inorgano-nanocatalyst for the Sonogashira reaction.![]()

Abstract
The new ferromagnetic nanostructured FMMWCNTs@CPA@SMTU@PdII NPs (IV) as an eco-friendly heterogeneous nanocatalyst with a particle size of ~20–30nm reported earlier by our group has been found to be very effective for Suzuki–Miyaura and Mizoroki–Heck cross-coupling reactions at ambient temperature. The procedure has been applied for a wide range of aryl halides, arylboronic acids, and alkenes. The magnetic separation by an external magnetic field, mild reaction conditions, and catalyst reusability up to four times without significant decrease in catalytic activity (reduced catalytic activity from 11 to 18% in the fifth, sixth, and seventh cycles) made the present method sustainable and economically viable for C–C cross-coupling reactions.
