Abstract
A highly efficient method for synthesis of difluoroarymethyl-substituted benzimidazo[2,1-a]isoquinolin-6(5H)-ones using 2-arylbenzoimidazoles with α,α-difluorophenylacetic acid as reaction substrates has been developed through radical cascade cyclization. The advantage of this strategy lies in excellent functional group tolerance to generate the corresponding products in good yields under base- and metal-free conditions.

Abstract
Leveraging α-fluoroalkyl or fluorobenzyl radicals to introduce fluorinated motifs allows for the rapid preparation of fluorine-containing building blocks. Herein, we report the generation of α-fluoroalkyl or fluorobenzyl radicals from readily available α-fluorocarboxylic acids under mild reaction conditions and their utilization in the Giese-type addition on Michael acceptors and dehydroamino acids, resulting in the preparation of mono- and difluorinated Michael addition adducts and unnatural fluorinated amino acids.

Abstract
A mild and efficient transition-metal-free radical difluorobenzylation/cyclization of unactivated alkenes toward the synthesis of difluorobenzylated polycyclic quinazolinone derivatives with easily accessible α,α-difluoroarylacetic acids has been developed. This transformation has the advantages of wide functional group compatibility, a broad substrate scope, and operational simplicity. This methodology provided a highly attractive access to pharmaceutically valuable ArCF2-containing polycyclic quinazolinones.

Abstract
This review describes recent advances in copper-catalyzed difluoroalkylation reactions. The RCF2 radical is generally proposed in the mechanism of these reactions. At present, various types of copper-catalyzed difluoroalkylation reactions have been realized. According to their characteristics, we classify these difluoroalkylation reactions into three types.

Abstract
A visible light mediated stereospecific C(sp2)-H difluoroalkylation of (Z)-aldoximes to (E)-difluoroalkylated ketoximes has been described. In this reaction, (hetero)-aromatic and aliphatic difluoroalkylated ketoximes could be obtained with the retention of the configuration of the starting aldoximes. A preliminary mechanism study showed that a difluoromethyl radical via an SET pathway was involved.

Abstract
Decarboxylation strategy has been emerging as a powerful tool for the synthesis of fluorine-containing organic compounds that play important roles in various fields such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and materials science. Considerable progress in decarboxylation has been made over the past decade towards the construction of diverse valuable fluorinated fine chemicals for which the fluorinated part can be brought in two ways. The first way is described as the reaction of non-fluorinated carboxylic acids (and their derivatives) with fluorinating reagents, as well as fluorine-containing building blocks. The second way is dedicated to the exploration and the use of fluorine-containing carboxylic acids (and their derivatives) in decarboxylative transformations. This review aims to provide a comprehensive summary of the development and applications of decarboxylative radical, nucleophilic and cross-coupling strategies in organofluorine chemistry.

Abstract
Minisci-type reactions have been widely known as reactions that involve the addition
of carbon-centered radicals to basic heteroarenes followed by formal hydrogen atom loss.
While the originally developed protocols for radical generation remain in active use today, in
recent years, the new array of radical generation strategies have allowed the use of a wider
variety of radical precursors that often operate under milder and more benign conditions. New
transformations based on free radical reactivity are now available to a synthetic chemist, to
utilize a Minisci-type reaction. Radical-generation methods based on photoredox catalysis
and electrochemistry, which utilize thermal cleavage or the in situ generation of reactive radical
precursors, have become popular approaches. Our review will cover the remarkable literature
that has been reported on this topic in recent 5 years, from 2015-01 to 2020-01, in an
attempt to provide guidance to the synthetic chemist on both the challenges that need to be overcome and the applications
in organic synthesis.
