Abstract
The paper describes the preparation and characterization of a new HILIC material for the enrichment of N-linked glycopeptides. The material was prepared using 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid as the monomer and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as the cross-linker. The material was developed by a Box-Behnken experimental design, taking into consideration the amount of monomer-to-crosslinker ratio, the composition, and the amount of porogen mixture. By this approach, the property of the resulting polymer could be fine-tuned to modulate the hydrophilicity and porosity. As HILIC enrichment is mostly dependent on hydrophilic interactions, including H-bonding, the amount of swelling was expected to have an important function, therefore the optimization considered a monomer percent in the range of 20-80%, which implied very different water swelling capacities. After assessing the potential of this new polymer family on fetuin digests, the 17 materials resulting from the Box-Behnken experimental design were used for the enrichment of glycopeptides from serum protein digests. The materials displayed a superior performance over cotton HILIC enrichment, both in terms of the number of enriched N-linked glycopeptides and selectivity, providing up to 762 N-linked glycopeptides with 77% selectivity. The optimization indicated that a high amount of monomer significantly affected the number of enriched glycopeptides, which is also closely connected with the hydrogel nature of the resulting polymers. The results not only provide one additional HILIC material for the enrichment of glycopeptides but also pave the way for the use and development of hydrogel materials for the enrichment of N-linked glycopeptides.

Abstract
The Diels-Alder reaction and its retro breakdown has garnered increasing research focus due to several of its advantageous properties including, atomic conservation, reversibility, and substituent retention. This is especially true in biomedical application and nanomedicine development which display a preference for rapid, efficient, and clean "click" chemistry reactions allowing for delivery of active ingredients and subsequent release upon temperature elevation. There are multiple variations on the Diels-Alder reaction based around substitution position and materials being coupled which can affect the temperature threshold for and rate of the retro reaction reversal. Hence, the Diels-Alder reaction offers a simple coupling reaction for active ingredients with tailorable release. In this review the incorporation of the Diels-Alder chemistries and linkers within the biomedical and nanomedicine field will be discussed, as well as its use in future potential technologies.

Abstract
The development of heterogeneous covalent adaptable networks (CANs) embedded with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) that undergo reversible dissociation/recombination through thermoreversibility has been significantly explored. However, the carbon nanotube (CNT)-incorporation methods based on physical mixing and chemical modification could result in either phase separation due to structural incompatibility or degrading conjugation due to a disruption of π-network, thus lowering their intrinsic charge transport properties. To address this issue, the versatility of a macromolecular engineering approach through thermoreversibility by physical modification of CNT surfaces with reactive multidentate block copolymers (rMDBCs) is demonstrated. The formed CNTs stabilized with rMDBCs (termed rMDBC/CNT colloids) bearing reactive furfuryl groups is functioned as a multicrosslinker that reacts with a polymaleimide to fabricate robust heterogeneous polyurethane (PU) networks crosslinked through dynamic Diels-Alder (DA)/retro-DA chemistry. Promisingly, the fabricated PU network gels in which CNTs through rMDBC covalently embedded are flexible and robust to be bendable as well as exhibit self-healing elasticity and enhanced conductivity.

Abstract
Discriminative detection of GSH is achieved by employing a highly sensitive and selective fluorescent probe (KL-DN) that bears β-carboline alkaloid as a potential fluorophore and an azide group as the recognition unit. A rapid fluorescence off-on change is caused by special redox reaction; KL-DN has the capability of monitoring endogenous GSH in wheat germ tissues, indicating that this probe holds great potential for biological applications in plant tissues.
