Abstract
Biodegradable molecularly imprinted polymer-coated paper (MIP@paper) was effectively produced by polymerization using azinphos-methyl as a template molecule, terephthalic acid as a functional monomer, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as a cross-linker, and aqueous ethanol as a green porogenic solvent. The material was subsequently composited onto cellulose paper, which served as the natural substrate, by dip coating with the aid of chitosan and citric acid natural adhesive. The properties, such as static and dynamic adsorption, selectivity, and reusability, were assessed. At rapid adsorption equilibrium (10 min), the MIP@paper had a high adsorption capacity in the range of 2.5-3.7 mg g-1 and good recognition with imprinting factors up to 2.1. In addition, the proposed MIP@paper was utilized efficiently as a sorbent for dispersive solid phase extraction (d-SPE) of eight organophosphorus pesticides (OPPs) prior to high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis. The d-SPE-HPLC method displayed low detection limits of 1.2-4.5 μg kg-1 and significant enrichment factors (up to 320-fold). The proposed method was effectively applied for the determination of OPP residues in agricultural products, including fruits, vegetables, and cereal grains, with satisfactory spiked recoveries (80.1-119.1 %). Thus, the MIP@paper material provided a selective and environmentally favorable method for extracting and determining organophosphorus pesticides.

Abstract
Polyaniline (PANI) is one of the best known and widely studied conducting polymers with multiple applications and unique physicochemical properties. Due to its porous structure and relatively high surface area as well as the affinity toward many analytes related to the ability to establish different types of interactions, PANI has a great potential as a sorbent in sample pretreatment before instrumental analyses. This study provides an overview of the applications of polyaniline and polyaniline composites as sorbents in sample preparation techniques based on solid-phase extraction, including conventional solid-phase extraction (SPE) and its modifications, solid-phase microextraction (SPME), dispersive solid-phase extraction (dSPE), magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) and stir-bar sorptive extraction (SBSE). The utility of PANI-based sorbents in chromatography was also summarized. It has been shown that polyaniline is willingly combined with other components and PANI-based materials may be formed in a variety of shapes. Polyaniline alone and PANI-based composites were successfully applied for sample preparation before determination of various analytes, both metal ions and organic compounds, in different matrices such as environmental samples, food, human plasma, urine, and blood.

Trace-level detection of sulfonamide antibiotics using quaternary ammonium polymeric ionic liquid-based effervescence-enhanced dispersive solid-phase extraction followed by LC-DAD analysis in environmental waters. Abstract
Conventional ionic liquids possess several disadvantages, such as high viscosity, difficult sampling/retrieval, and great loss in aqueous solution, limiting their wide applications in the pretreatment field. To solve these drawbacks, we synthesized a quaternary ammonium polymeric ionic liquid (PIL) and pressed it into an effervescent tablet for developing an effervescence-enhanced dispersive solid-phase extraction method (QAP-EDSE). The pressed effervescent tablet was composed of PIL as an extractant, tartaric acid as an acidic source, NaHCO3 as an alkaline source, and water-soluble starch as a filler, respectively. Under the CO2-driven dispersion, the QAP-EDSE method integrated rapid enrichment, extraction, and dispersion into one synchronous step. Employing the one-factor-at-a-time approach, several important variables were optimized as follows: 200 mg of P[VBTHEA]Cl as sorbent, 400 μL of acetone as elution solvent, 5 min of elution, solution pH 9.0, and 1 : 1.25 molar ratio of alkaline to acidic sources. Combining LC-DAD analysis, this proposed approach offered the limits of detection as low as 0.11–0.31 μg L−1 and satisfactory recoveries of 81.40–102.62% for five sulfonamides (SAs) in environmental waters. The lower relative standard deviations (1.9–6.7%) evidenced the higher intraday and interday experimental precision by this method. Overall, the newly developed method is environmentally benign, time-saving, and easy to operate with low detection limit and high recovery and thus shows excellent prospects in the trace-level detection of SAs in environmental waters. An effervescent tablet-assisted dispersive solid-phase extraction based on the utilization of quaternary ammonium poly ionic liquids (PIL) was proposed for the concentration/extraction of sulfonamides (SAs) in river and lake water samples.![]()

Abstract
Herein, an ionic-liquid-based effervescence-enhanced magnetic solid-phase extraction (ILE-MSPE) approach for the extraction/concentration of organophosphorus pesticides in waters is reported with high stability and portability for rapid sample pretreatment in the field. The ionic-liquid-based magnetic effervescent tablet, composed of magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4), sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) as an alkaline source, and an ionic liquid ([C6MIM][PF6]), played triple functions: extractant, dispersant, and retrieving agent. Based on the one-factor-at-a-time method, the important variables for the ILE-MSPE approach were optimized as follows: as an extractant, 70 μL of [C6MIM][PF6]; molar ratio of alkaline to acidic sources (Na2CO3 : H2C4H4O6) as 1 : 1; and mass of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) of 30 mg. By integrating HPLC-DAD detection, the ILE-MSPE approach offered the limits of detection of 0.14-0.22 μg L-1 and fortified recoveries of 81.4-97.6% for three representative species (methamidophos, phoxim, and parathion) in water samples. The relative standard deviations were lower than 4.9% for both the intra-day and inter-day precision. Overall, the newly developed method is environmentally benign, time-saving, and feasible for outdoor application.

Eco-friendly fabrication of a magnetic dual-template molecularly imprinted polymer for the selective enrichment of organophosphorus pesticides for fruits and vegetables. Anal Chim Acta 2021; 1186:339128. Abstract
A magnetic dual-template molecularly imprinted polymer (DMIP) was successfully prepared in an aqueous medium and used as a sorbent for the selective extraction of organophosphorus pesticides prior to analysis by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The binding properties and selectivity of DMIP toward organophosphorus were evaluated and compared with those of a non-imprinted polymer. The established magnetic dispersive solid-phase extraction (MDSPE) method using DMIP exhibited fast enrichment of the target analytes within 60 s for adsorption and 30 s for desorption. Good linearities in the range of 0.5-2000 μg L-1 with coefficients of determination (R2) greater than 0.9930 were observed. The method provides low limits of detection of 0.062-0.195 μg L-1 and limits of quantification of 0.210-0.640 μg L-1 with relative standard deviations of less than 9.5% for intra- and inter-day analyses. The enrichment factors ranged from 464 to 621. Satisfactory recoveries ranged from 81.3 to 110.0% with relative standard deviations below 11%.
