Abstract
A female patient in her 70s with a newly diagnosed clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) with osseous metastasis presented with sudden onset erythematous painful blistering skin lesions on the dorsum of both hands, with associated intermittent fever episodes. Blood tests showed elevated inflammatory marker levels (C reactive protein 257.8 mg/dL, leucocytes 17.79×10⁹/L, with 94% neutrophils). Histologically, there was predominately neutrophil dermal infiltrate without leucocytoclastic vasculitis. The diagnostic criteria of Sweet syndrome were fulfilled. A week later, the patient developed abrupt left-hand palsy, which was confirmed as a medial and ulnar sensorimotor axonal peripheral neuropathy of paraneoplastic origin. The patient was prescribed a course of oral high-dose steroids, which significantly improved the skin lesions. The peripheral nerve palsy improved after 3 months. This case describes the two very rare concurrent paraneoplastic manifestations of ccRCC occurring simultaneously, which have been rarely reported.

Abstract
(1) Background: Linear immunoglobulin A bullous dermatosis (LABD) is a rare autoimmune, subepidermal blistering disease, characterized by linear IgA deposits along the epidermal basement membrane. LABD is idiopathic and is associated with medication and systemic autoimmune diseases. (2) Methods: We investigated the demographic characteristics, disease course, causative agents, and associated diseases in Korean patients with LABD. The Korean Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service database was used to obtain data. We identified 670 LABD cases between 2010 and 2022. (3) Results: The annual incidence of LABD was 1.3 per 100,000 persons, with a higher prevalence in individuals ≥60 years old. The patients were treated with dapsone for 30.7 ± 56.7 days, had 1.3 ± 0.7 hospital visits, and were hospitalized for 19.8 ± 19.7 days. Risk factors, including malignancy, commonly preceded LABD. Antibiotic use, specifically vancomycin and third-generation cephalosporins, was a risk factor. The mean age of LABD diagnosis was 55.9 ± 21.7 years. (4) Conclusion: This is the first published study to assess a nationwide cohort for LABD. The incidence of LABD was higher than that in other studies. Most case reports have linked LABD with the administration of specific antibiotics; however, this study shows there were more associations with other conditions.

Abstract
Linear IgA disease (LAD) is a rare autoimmune bullous disease characterized by IgA deposition in the basement membrane zone (BMZ). A 66-year-old male was treated for myelodysplastic syndrome at our hospital for 5 years, during which his condition remained stable. He visited our department because of erythema with itching, which appeared 1 year ago and gradually exacerbated with the development of blisters and erosions. During the first visit, multiple erythemas with erosions and crusts on their periphery were observed on the trunk and lower limbs. Histopathological examination revealed subepidermal blisters with inflammatory cell infiltration, mainly constituting of neutrophils, eosinophils, and lymphocytes. Direct and indirect immunofluorescence showed linear IgA deposits in the BMZ and IgA anti-BMZ antibodies, respectively, while immunoblotting using a concentrated culture supernatant of HaCaT cells detected IgA antibodies reactive to 120-kDa LAD-1. Accordingly, the patient was diagnosed with lamina lucida-type LAD. Subsequent colonoscopy revealed multiple colorectal polyps and rectal adenocarcinoma (Tis, N0, and M0). Multigene panel test showed an ATM variant of unknown significance but did not detect any pathogenic variants associated with intestinal polyposis syndrome. The skin lesions quickly resolved with oral diaphenylsulfone 50 mg/day and resection of the colorectal polyps and adenocarcinoma. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of LAD associated with multiple colorectal polyps and rectal adenocarcinoma. Additionally, we also analyzed reported cases of LAD associated with malignancy from the literature.

Abstract
Linear immunoglobulin A (IgA) bullous dermatosis (LABD) is a rare disorder involving subepidermal blistering characterised by IgA deposition along the basement membrane. The clinical features of LABD are variable but can include bullae, vesicles and erythematous lesions. Histopathology reveals formation of subepidermal bullae and linearly deposition of IgA in the basement membrane of the epidermis. LABD has been reported as a rare complication of ulcerative colitis (UC). We report the case of a young woman with UC complicated by LABD. The latter manifested as vesicles with erythema on almost the entire body. A biopsy of the skin lesions revealed linear IgA deposits in the basement membrane according to a direct immunofluorescence assay. Prednisolone administration resulted in clinical remission of UC but poor improvement of skin lesions. Oral administration of diaminodiphenyl sulfone led to improvement of blisters. Thereafter, abdominal and skin symptoms did not recur and she was discharged from hospital.

Abstract
Aim: to present a clinical case of linear IgA bullous dermatosis.Materials and methods. A 44 years old patient complaining of skin rashes on the trunk and extremities, accompanied by severe itching was examined. We carried out a morphological investigation of biopsy samples derived from the lesion and apparently unaffected skin areas using the method of indirect immunofluorescence.Results. The patient having rashes in the form of multiple vesicles and small bubbles with a tight cover, which had been grouped into figures resembling pearl necklaces, demonstrated the presence of focal subepidermal cracks (subepidermal bubble in one location), as well as a linear deposition of IgA along the epidermal basement membrane. According to the clinical picture and following the histological and immunofluorescent investigation of skin biopsies, the patient was diagnosed with linear IgA bullous dermatosis. Lesion regression was achieved as a result of systemic therapy with prednisolone at a dose of 50 mg per day.Conclusion. The diagnosis of linear IgA bullous dermatosis should be made on the basis of skin biopsy investigation by the method of indirect immunofluorescence. Systemic glucocorticosteroids are seen as an effective approach to the treatment of such patients.

Abstract
Autoimmune paraneoplastic and neoplasm-associated skin syndromes are characterized by autoimmune-mediated cutaneous lesions in the presence of a neoplasm. The identification of these syndromes provides information about the underlying tumor, systemic symptoms, and debilitating complications. The recognition of these syndromes is particularly helpful in cases of skin lesions presenting as the first sign of the malignancy, and the underlying malignancy can be treated in a timely manner. Autoimmune paraneoplastic and neoplasm-associated bullous skin syndromes are characterized by blister formation due to an autoimmune response to components of the epidermis or basement membrane in the context of a neoplasm. The clinical manifestations, histopathology and immunopathology findings, target antigens, associated neoplasm, current diagnostic criteria, current understanding of pathogenesis, and treatment options for a selection of four diseases are reviewed. Paraneoplastic pemphigus manifests with clinically distinct painful mucosal erosions and polymorphic cutaneous lesions, and is often associated with lymphoproliferative neoplasm. In contrast, bullous pemphigoid associated with neoplasm presents with large tense subepidermal bullae of the skin, and mild mucosal involvement, but without unique clinical features. Mucous membrane pemphigoid associated with neoplasm is a disorder of chronic subepithelial blisters that evolve into erosions and ulcerations that heal with scarring, and involves stratified squamous mucosal surfaces. Linear IgA dermatosis associated with neoplasm is characterized by annularly grouped pruritic papules, vesicles, and bullae along the extensor surfaces of elbows, knees, and buttocks. Physicians should be aware that these autoimmune paraneoplastic and neoplasm-associated syndromes can manifest distinct or similar clinical features as compared with the non-neoplastic counterparts.

Abstract
Kidney cancer is a heterogenous disease encompassing several distinct clinicopathologic entities with different underlying molecular aberrations and clinical outcomes. Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) has been shown to evoke immunologic responses that can impact the natural history of disease and clinical presentation. It is important to recognize atypical presentations of disease, including cutaneous manifestations. The incidence of skin metastases from RCC is low, yet needs to be appreciated in the appropriate setting; clinical presentation for these lesions is reviewed briefly. There are several hereditary syndromes that present with well characterized cutaneous lesions and are associated with an increased risk for RCC, including Von Hippel-Lindau and Birt-Hogg-Dubé syndromes. Given that these skin lesions may be the first presenting sign for RCC, timely recognition is of essence and both are discussed in some detail. Several therapeutic options based on immunomodulation are approved for the treatment of advanced RCC. Dermatologic toxicities observed with these agents are also briefly discussed.

Abstract
We report the case of a 69-year-old Japanese woman with multiple blistering lesions covering almost her whole body. Linear IgA and C3 depositions were seen at the basement membrane zone on direct immunofluorescence (IF). Linear IgA bullous dermatosis (LABD) is one of the autoimmune diseases resulting in subepidermal blisters. It is clinically similar to bullous pemphigoid and IF is required to distinguish the two diseases. In this case, the blistering lesions appeared after vancomycin treatment. This drug was strongly suspected as a cause of LABD in light of the clinical course of the patient even though a drug-lymphocyte stimulating test was negative. Among the various implicated causative drugs, vancomycin is the most commonly associated with LABD.

Abstract
The skin can be key to early diagnosis of systemic malignancies. In the second part of this review, we present various skin conditions that can, in certain contexts, reveal the presence of malignancy. The skin conditions are presented in groups based on a diverse range of morphological characteristics. Specifically, the following groups are analyzed: erosive and blistering lesions; inflammatory papules and nodules; xerosis, ichthyosis, and generalized exfoliative dermatitis; symptoms such as pruritus; abnormal hair distribution patterns; sweating disorders; benign tumors that can form part of hereditary syndromes associated with a risk of visceral cancer; and finally, oral and nail abnormalities. This review highlights the importance of the skin in the study of systemic malignancies.

Abstract
The presence of one autoimmune disorder helps lead to the discovery of other autoimmune conditions. It is thought that diseases in which autoimmunity is a feature tend to be associated together more often than one can ascribe to chance. A variety of diseases have been implicated in the onset of intraepidermal and subepidermal autoimmune diseases. The presence of one autoimmune disease should alert the physician to watch for a second immunologic disorder. A list of autoimmune bullous diseases associations includes autoimmune bullous diseases, pemphigus, pemphigoid, epidermolysis bullosa acquisita, dermatitis herpetiformis (Duhring), linear immunoglobulin A disease, and multiple autoimmune syndrome.

Abstract
Linear IgA dermatosis (LAD) is a well-recognized acquired subepidermal bullous autoimmune disease. LAD is characterized by clinical, histopathological and immunopathological findings. We report the case of a 38-year-old man who suffered from a chronic myeloic leukaemia. Although he received immunosuppressive therapy he developed LAD after an allogenic bone marrow transplantation. After diagnosis of LAD was established we started a successful systemic therapy with dapsone, while continuing the preliminary medication. Here we report for the first time on a possible relationship between LAD and bone marrow transplantation in an immunosuppressed patient.

Abstract
Various exogenous factors (eg, drugs, dietary antigens, trauma, infections, radiographs, and UV radiation) are known to induce or aggravate skin diseases. UV radiation in particular is known to induce or aggravate the autoimmune bullous diseases of pemphigus foliaceus, pemphigus vulgaris, and bullous pemphigoid. Its role in linear IgA dermatosis, however, is not well recognized. We report the second case of linear IgA dermatosis induced by intense sun exposure in which blistering was induced by UVA radiation. Furthermore, a review of the literature on photoinduced autoimmune bullous diseases and the wavelengths responsible for the induction of blistering is presented and several proposed mechanisms of action for the blister induction, including release or unmasking of antigens, promotion of antibody fixation by UV radiation, and launching of an inflammatory process, are discussed. We conclude that linear IgA dermatosis should be added to the list of autoimmune bullous diseases induced and/or aggravated by UV radiation.

Abstract
Linear IgA disease (LAD) is a chronic, subepithelial blistering disease that is associated with the presence of linear deposits of IgA along the basement membrane zone. Etiopathogenic aspects of LAD are only partially known. LAD is clinically characterized by vesiculobullous skin and mucous lesions. Although more than half of LAD patients present oral mucosal lesions, there are only a few cases reported of oral lesions as the only manifestation of LAD. This study presents 2 of these uncommon cases.
