Abstract
Pulmonary artery stenosis represents a group of disorders involving main, branch or peripheral pulmonary arteries with pain, dyspnea, hemoptysis or even no symptoms. Early diagnosis and timely intervention are crucial for reducing mortality, but timely diagnosis is challenging due to the non-specific symptoms. Computed tomography pulmonary angiography (CTPA) is useful in the diagnosis because it can provide more details about abnormal changes in the lumen, vessel wall and adjacent mediastinal structures. Congenital and acquired pulmonary artery anomalies have some characteristics on CTPA, which can be useful for differential diagnosis. Awareness of these conditions is important for radiologists. This pictorial review provides an overview of CTPA imaging features of pulmonary artery stenosis.

Abstract
Pulmonary embolism (PE) is the third most common cause of cardiovascular death. Every specialty of medical practitioner will encounter PE in their patients, and should be prepared to employ contemporary strategies for diagnosis and initial risk-stratification. Treatment of PE is based on risk-stratification, with anticoagulation for all patients, and advanced modalities including systemic thrombolysis, catheter-directed therapies, and mechanical circulatory supports utilized in a manner paralleling PE severity and clinical context.

Abstract
Nonthrombotic pulmonary embolism (NTPE) challenges the medical community with its diverse etiologies and potential life-threatening implications. The classification section delves into the multifaceted nature of NTPE, which includes various embolic agents that traverse the vascular system. From air and fat emboli to tumor and amniotic fluid emboli, this exploration of diverse etiologies sheds light on the complexity of NTPE. Diagnostic methods play a crucial role in the effective management of NTPE. This article describes a range of traditional and cutting-edge diagnostic techniques, from computed tomography angiography to novel biomarkers, enabling the accurate and timely identification of NTPE. NTPE treatment options are diverse and patient-specific, requiring customized approaches to address varying embolic sources. Anticoagulation, embolus removal, and emerging interventions under study are discussed, providing clinicians with a comprehensive understanding of management strategies. This article uncovers the rare but captivating association between NTPE and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Although rare, documented cases have sparked curiosity among researchers and medical practitioners. Abstract
Septic pulmonary embolism (SPE) is a rare clinical entity that is distinct from the classic and more common non-septic thrombotic pulmonary embolism. SPE should be suspected in patients with a systemic acute inflammatory reaction or sepsis who develop signs and symptoms of pulmonary involvement. The diagnosis of SPE depends on the specific radiologic finding of multiple, peripheral, nodular, possibly cavitated lesions. SPE should prompt an immediate search for the primary source of infection; typically, right-sided infective endocarditis, cardiac implantable electronic devices, and septic thrombophlebitis as a complication of bone, skin, and soft tissue infection including Lemierre's syndrome, indwelling catheters, or direct inoculation via injection drug use. Invasive treatment of the infection source may be necessary; in thrombophlebitis, the efficacy and safety of anticoagulation remain undefined. Blood cultures may be negative, particularly among patients with recent antibiotic exposure, and broad-spectrum antimicrobial therapy should be considered. The in-hospital mortality of SPE ranges up to 20% in published case series. While trends in the incidence of SPE are unknown, the opioid epidemic, the growing use of cardiac implantable electronic devices worldwide, and the reported increase in cases of septic thrombophlebitis may be leading to an escalation in SPE cases. We provide a contemporary profile of SPE and propose a clinical management algorithm in patients with suspected or confirmed SPE.

Abstract
Pulmonary tumor embolism (PTE) is a rare phenomenon typically presenting as dyspnea in cancer patients. Primary pathophysiology is similar to the thromboembolic disease of the pulmonary vasculature, which involves large vessels to small arterioles. This phenomenon occurs mostly in lung, stomach, liver, and breast adenocarcinoma. The symptoms of hypoxemia and the signs of hemodynamic instability and high-resolution computed tomography (CT) scans, along with a histopathological examination, are essential to make a confirmatory diagnosis of pulmonary tumor embolism. However, treatment options to effectively treat pulmonary tumor embolus are limited and still under investigation. We present a rare case of pulmonary tumor embolism in a patient with metastatic liver carcinoma and its management in a female with primary breast carcinoma.

Abstract
Nontrombotic pulmonary embolism represents the embolization of different types of materials (cells, organisms, gas, foreign material) into pulmonary circulation. The disease is uncommon, and clinical presentation together with laboratory findings are nonspecific. Its pathology is usually misdiagnosed based on imaging findings as pulmonary thromboembolism, but the correct diagnosis is essential because different therapeutic approaches are required. In this context, knowledge of the risk factors associated with nontrombotic pulmonary embolism and specific clinical symptoms is fundamental. Our objective was to discuss the specific features of the most common etiologies of nontrombotic pulmonary embolism, gas, fat, amniotic fluid, sepsis and tumors, to provide assistance for a rapid and correct diagnosis. Because the most common etiologies are iatrogenic, knowledge of the risk factors could be an important tool for prevention or rapid treatment if the disease develops during different procedures. The diagnosis of nontrombotic pulmonary embolisms represent a laborious challenge, and endeavors should be made to prevent development and increase awareness of this disease.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Fat embolism syndrome (FES) is a rare life-threatening complication, which commonly affects the lung. Currently, the most widely accepted criteria for the diagnosis of FES are the Gurd and Wilson Criteria established nearly 40 years ago, but without pulmonary images involved. Our study aims to analyse the pulmonary computed tomography (CT) findings seen in FES. CASE PRESENTATION This report enrolled four cases of FES with lung involvement. The mainly symptoms and signs included dyspnea, disturbance of consciousness, anemia, thrombocytopenia and, most notably, ground-glass opacities, septal thickening, ill-defined centrilobular nodules, and patchy consolidation were demonstrated on bilateral lungs. Combining the clinical manifestations and laboratory tests, the diagnosis of FES was confirmed. With the treatment of steroids, anti-coagulation and supportive treatment, the four patients' symptoms were relieved, abnormalities in chest CT were absorbed significantly and the patients were finally discharged. CONCLUSIONS There are several common manifestations of FES in pulmonary CT images, and the lung parenchymal features give more information for the diagnosis of FES than the pulmonary vessel findings. Given the absence of a gold standard diagnostic test for FES, further investigation to explore new diagnostic criteria of FES involving pulmonary radiological features is needed in the future.

Abstract
Iatrogenic non-thrombotic pulmonary embolism is a rare cause of pulmonary embolism. This case demonstrates the unusual imaging findings associated with pulmonary migration of Precipitating Hydrophobic Injectable Liquid, a liquid embolization material most commonly used in interventional neuroradiological procedures. Chest X-ray and CT Pulmonary Angiogram images are shown. The case highlights the importance of a thorough clinical history, including past medical history, when interpreting radiological studies.

Abstract
Non-thrombotic pulmonary embolism can occur from rare but diverse etiology and is not well understood. Increasing prevalence of osteoporosis in the aging population has contributed to increased utilization of percutaneous vertebral augmentation procedures of vertebroplasty and its recent modification, kyphoplasty. Though these procedures are relatively well tolerated, there is risk of potentially fatal complication of bone cement embolization to distant vasculature. We report a case of symptomatic pulmonary cement emboli developed 2 day's post kyphoplasty and its successful treatment with novel anticoagulant for 6 months. We also summarize evidence to assist clinicians and radiologists for early identification, treatment, and prevention of cement pulmonary emboli.

Abstract
Infected cavitating pulmonary infarction is a rare complication of pulmonary embolism with a high mortality rate. Surgical excision for this complication has been used in past decades. Abrupt cavitation and a large oval-shaped lung abscess caused by acute thromboembolic pulmonary infarction during anticoagulation are rare. We present a 70-year-old man who suffered from pleuritic pain and breathlessness, accompanied by nausea and vomiting for 1 day. A physical examination showed tachycardia and tachypnea with moist rales in the left upper chest. High D-dimer levels, leukocytosis, respiratory failure and left upper lobe consolidation were found on plain computed tomography (CT). CT pulmonary angiography was performed 2 days after the previous CT scan because pulmonary embolism was suspected. This scan showed emboli in the main, right upper, middle, lower and left upper pulmonary arteries with deteriorated left upper lobe consolidation and cavitation. Thromboembolic pulmonary infarction and an abscess were diagnosed. Enoxaparin 60 mg was administered every 12 hours for 10 days, followed by rivaroxaban, antibiotics and drainage of the hydrothorax. The patient improved after the strategy of non-surgical treatment and was discharged approximately 1 month later. The patient had an uneventful course during rivaroxaban 20 mg once daily for 1 year.

Abstract
A rare cause of acute decompensated pulmonary hypertension is pulmonary tumor embolism (PTE), which is an uncommon complication of advanced lung malignancy. Patients diagnosed with PTE typically have a poor prognosis, and so patients with advanced lung tumors who present with signs of right heart failure and respiratory support should be evaluated for PTE. We present a case of a 54-year-old Hispanic female who initially presented with a one-month history of dysphagia, who was found to have acute pulmonary hypertension secondary to invasion of the pulmonary arteries by lung adenocarcinoma.

Abstract
Non-thrombotic pulmonary embolism (NTPE) results from the embolization of non-thrombotic materials. It can often be a challenging diagnosis due to non-specific (similar to thrombotic pulmonary embolism) or uncommon clinical and imaging findings. Patients with NTPE often present to the emergency department with acute respiratory distress, and contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) of the chest and CT pulmonary angiography are the imaging modalities of choice for respiratory distress. Since the treatment of NTPE is entirely different from thromboembolism, its distinction is essential. Moreover, early diagnosis of NTPE is necessary. Radiologists must be familiar with the diagnostic findings of NTPE, and this article aims to review the imaging features of various causes of NTPE.
