Abstract
A new method for selective cleavage of sulfonimides into sulfonamides in high yields using a simple electrochemical approach is shown. As revealed by the electrochemical study, the aromatic sulfonimides can be selectively cleaved by electrolysis of the starting compound at a given potential (only -0.9 V vs SCE for the nosyl group). The high chemoselectivity was confirmed by preparative electrolysis, and the results were supported with DFT calculations of a set of substances bearing different sulfonimide functions. Moreover, various experimental setups together with other attempts to simplify the procedure were tested. Finally, the removal of the p-nosyl group from the corresponding sulfonimides proceeds smoothly regardless of the number of nosyl groups and the overall shape of the complex molecule. Thus, the method is interesting for use in the field of multifunctional molecules such as calix[n]arenes.

Abstract
Sulfonamides have a special role on medicine due to their broad biological activities, as bacterial infections, diabetes mellitus, oedema, hypertension prevention and treatment. In addition, sulfonamides are also useful in herbicides and pesticides. Herein, we communicate an efficient strategy for the preparation of sulfonamides via NH4I‐mediated amination of sodium sulfinates. This new method provides a general and environmentally friendly access to sulfonamide compounds and tolerates a wide range of functional groups.

Abstract
This study presents a novel, economical, and environmentally technique for synthesizing magnetic palladium complex conjugated to activated calcium lignosulfonate with triethylenetetramine (Fe3O4@lignosulfonate@triethylenetetramine@Pd complex (FLT-Pd complex)) as a practical and air-stable catalyst. FLT-Pd complex is used as a catalyst for the fabrication of 4-methyl-N-phenyl-benzenesulfonamide derivatives via N-arylation of 4-methylbenzenesulfonamide in good yields. Furthermore, because of the complex magnetic reparability and high stability, it could be removed easily from the reaction media using a magnet and reused 5 cycles without a remarkable loss of catalytic prowess.

Abstract
A green, facile and tunable pair electrochemical process was developed for the synthesis of new benzenesulfonamide derivatives by using reductive controlled potential electrolysis of dinitrobenzene (DNB) in the presence of arylsulfinic acids (ASAs). In addition to the usual features associated with paired electrochemical methods, eg high energy efficient, this method has a tunable characteristic, so that, by adjusting the potential, different products can be synthesized. By applying the potential of -0.4 V vs. Ag/AgCl, N-hydroxy-N-(4-nitrophenyl)benzenesulfonamide derivatives are selectively formed, while, by applying the potential of -1.1 V vs. Ag/AgCl, the final products are N-(4-amino-3-(phenylsulfonyl)phenyl) benzenesulfonamide derivatives. This work beautifully shows the potential applications of the electrochemistry as a powerful tool for the synthesis of organic compounds.

Abstract
A novel one-step direct reductive coupling reaction between nitroarenes and sodium arylsulfinates was realized in the presence of an inexpensive Pd/C catalyst. In this procedure, readily available nitroarenes are employed as the nitrogen sources, and sodium arylsulfinates serve as both coupling partners and reductants. The method features high efficiency by using cheap Pd/C with low catalyst loading and good functional group tolerance in the absence of any additional reductants or ligands. This facile and mild synthetic method enables the high efficiency synthesis of functionalized N-arylsulfonamides from readily available substrates.

Abstract
A fascinating Fe-promoted protocol for the synthesis of N-arylsulfonamides has been developed. Starting from commercially available nitroarenes and sulfonyl chlorides, moderate to excellent yields of the corresponding N-arylsulfonamides can be obtained. In particular, Fe dust was the sole reductant in the transformation and it can be easily performed on a large scale.

Abstract
A convenient, general, and high yielding Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling of methanesulfonamide with aryl bromides and chlorides is reported. The use of this method eliminates concern over genotoxic impurities that can arise when an aniline is reacted with methanesulfonyl chloride. The application of this method to the synthesis of dofetilide is also reported.
