Abstract
This work presents a new approach to enhance EMI shielding efficiency of nanocomposites of dielectric polymers, multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and intrinsically conducting polymers for account of using core-shell morphology for conducting components. To realize this approach new ternary nanocomposites of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF), MWCNTs and poly(3-methylthiophene) doped by Cl- anions (P3MT) were prepared through synthesis of thermally stable core/shell nanocomposites PVDF/P3MT and MWCNT/P3MT. These binary nanocomposites were mixed with pure MWCNTs or PVDF followed by compression molding to prepare the ternary nanocomposites of different morphology to discriminate their EMI shielding properties in a wide frequency range (1-67 GHz). Values of the tangent of dielectric loss angle, the efficiency of transmission, reflection and absorption of microwave radiation, and shielding efficiency (SE) of the specified materials were found from analysis of spectral dependences of their complex dielectric constants. It was shown that while the melt mixing of the binary PVDF/P3MT nanocomposite with MWCNTs both in a pure state and in the binary nanocomposite (MWCNT/P3MT) expectedly strongly enhances SE of the former, this effect is non-linear and depends on presence/absence of the P3MT shell on the MWCNT core. The ternary nanocomposite PVDF/P3MT/MWCNT made of the binary polymer-polymer nanocomposite PVDF/P3MT and pure MWCNTs showed highest SE values at the frequencies above 4.5 GHz up to 68.4 dB at 67 GHz in the case of the 1 mm thickness sample. However, below 4.5 GHz the SE was higher in the case of the ternary nanocomposites containing core/shell MWCNT/P3MT nanocomposite instead of pure MWCNT.

Abstract
The current collector serves as a crucial element in supercapacitors, acting as a medium between the electrode material and the substrate. Due to its excellent conductivity, a metal collector is typically favored. Enhancing the binding strength between the collector and the substrate as well as between the collector and the electrode material has emerged as a critical factor for enhancing the capacitance performance. In this study, a Ag film with a grass root-like structure was initially grown on a PI substrate through the surface modification and ion exchange (SMIE) process. This Ag interlocking structure contributes to strong binding between the PI substrate and Ag without compromising the mechanical properties of the Ag film. To further enhance the electrochemical properties at low scan rates, electroless-plated Cu was subsequently deposited on the Ag film to form the Cu/Ag current collector. Moreover, the Cu within the Cu/Ag current collector served as a precursor for the growth of FeOOH-Cu(OH)2 via a two-step in situ method. The resulting FeOOH-Cu(OH)2/Cu/Ag structure as a whole is binder-free. Supercapacitors employing symmetric FeOOH-Cu(OH)2/Cu/Ag structures were assembled, and their energy storage properties were investigated. The solution-based low-temperature process used in this study offers the potential for cost-effective and large-scale applications.

Abstract
The synthesis of MMT and poly(o-anisidine) (MMT/POA) clay nanocomposites was carried out by using the chemical oxidative polymerization of POA and MMT clay with POA, respectively. By maintaining the constant concentration of POA, different percentage loads of MMT clay were used to determine the effect of MMT clay on the properties of POA. The interaction between POA and MMT clay was investigated by FTIR spectroscopy, and, to reveal the complete compactness and homogeneous distribution of MMT clay in POA, were assessed by using scanning-electron-microscope (SEM) analysis. The UV–visible spectrum was studied for the optical and absorbance properties of MMT/POA ceramic nanocomposites. Furthermore, the horizontal burning test (HBT) demonstrated that clay nanofillers inhibit POA combustion.
