Abstract
BACKGROUND Coronary artery disease is one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide. Coronary angiography is a diagnostic procedure used to detect atherosclerosis. Patients typically experience anxiety and stress before and during the angiography procedure. Furthermore, self-care ability is crucial following angiography. AIM This study aims to describe the design and evaluation of a mobile application focusing on stress, anxiety, and self-care abilities in patients undergoing coronary angiography. METHOD The researchers developed a mobile application for patients undergoing angiography. The application provides information about angiography and tips for enhancing self-care following the procedure. An interventional study was conducted on 70 patients admitted to the angiography ward in hospitals in Kerman, Iran, between 2022 and 2023. The participants were randomly divided into two groups: control and intervention. The interventional group received the intervention application the night before angiography. Two groups completed the Anxiety and Stress Questionnaire (DAS) and Kearney-Flescher Self-Care Survey before the intervention. The researchers used questionnaires that had been prepared and previously utilized in other studies. The two groups completed the anxiety and stress questionnaire within three to six hours and the self-care questionnaire one month after angiography. SPSS 15 software was used for data analysis, with a significance level set at 0.05. RESULTS The study found that the majority of participants were women. Before the study, there was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of anxiety, stress, and self-care scores. However, after the study, the intervention group showed a significant decrease in average anxiety and stress scores (p < 0.001). Additionally, compared to the control group, the intervention group demonstrated significant improvement in average self-care score (p < 0.001). CONCLUSION According to this study, AP can be effective in influencing the anxiety, stress levels, and self-care ability of patients who undergo coronary angiography. It can help to reduce stress and anxiety while increasing self-care. Instructive software is user-friendly, cost-effective, and can be recommended by nurses and doctors.

Abstract
Knee arthroplasty surgery, which is increasingly performed due to increased life expectancy, has positive outcomes, although it can also cause serious health problems following surgery. This study was conducted to evaluate the impact of patient-related education via a QR code on total knee arthroplasty problems and emergency department referral rates. Participants were randomly assigned to intervention (n = 51) and control (n = 51) groups. The intervention group received QR code-supported training. The outcomes were assessed at baseline (preoperative), discharge, and postoperative sixth week. In the intervention group, significantly fewer problems related to total knee arthroplasty occurred at discharge and in week 6, and a higher level of functionality was noted ( P < .05). In week 6, the rate of emergency department admissions was lower, and mean scores for satisfaction with patient training were higher in the intervention group ( P < .05). In conclusion, QR code-supported patient training was effective in reducing the physiological and psychosocial problems related to total knee arthroplasty and the emergency department referral rates. In addition, it provided functional improvement and increased satisfaction with patient training.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Video health education has been increasingly adopted in the clinic to expand patient guidance and improve perioperative outcomes. To date, however, it is unclear whether the use of short-form videos and web-based clinician-created forums actually improve the perioperative experience of patients. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effect of application of short-form video health education on the health knowledge and satisfaction with nursing care of patients with lower extremity fractures. METHODS This study is a quasi experimental study, using convenient sampling method and grouping according to historical control., one hundred and twenty-two patients admitted with lower limb fractures to the orthopedic ward of a tertiary first-class general hospital in Fujian, China were enrolled in this study. Based on their admission order, patients admitted from September 2021 to November 2021 were enrolled into the control group (n = 61) and patients admitted from December 2021 to March 2022 were enrolled in the intervention group (n = 61). Both groups received identical admission-based patient education, perioperative care, and discharge rehabilitation instructions. The control group received the traditional education method while the intervention group received a short-form educational video in addition to the traditional education method. Patient perioperative health knowledge and patient satisfaction with nursing care during treatment of lower limb fractures were compared across the two groups. RESULTS Preoperative health knowledge in the intervention group was 95.1%, compared to 82.0% in the control group (χ2 = 3.954, P<0.05). The Newcastle satisfaction with nursing scales score in the intervention group was (80.902 ± 7.016) points, compared to (78.131 ± 8.213) points in the control group. These group differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION The application of a short-form educational video during the perioperative care of patients with lower limb fractures may improve patients' understanding of perioperative health and increase satisfaction with nursing care.

Abstract
Understanding the three-dimensional (3D) structure of the human skull is imperative for medical courses. However, medical students are overwhelmed by the spatial complexity of the skull. Separated polyvinyl chloride (PVC) bone models have advantages as learning tools, but they are fragile and expensive. This study aimed to reconstruct 3D-printed skull bone models (3D-PSBs) using polylactic acid (PLA) with anatomical characteristics for spatial recognition of the skull. Student responses to 3D-PSB application were investigated through a questionnaire and tests to understand the requirement of these models as a learning tool. The students were randomly divided into 3D-PSB (n = 63) and skull (n = 67) groups to analyze pre- and post-test scores. Their knowledge was improved, with the gain scores of the 3D-PSB group (50.0 ± 3.0) higher than that of the skull group (37.3 ± 5.2). Most students agreed that using 3D-PSBs with quick response codes could improve immediate feedback on teaching (88%; 4.41 ± 0.75), while 85.9% of the students agreed that individual 3D-PSBs clarified the structures hidden within the skull (4.41 ± 0.75). The ball drop test revealed that the mechanical strength of the cement/PLA model was significantly greater than that of the cement or PLA model. The prices of the PVC, cement, and cement/PLA models were 234, 1.9, and 10 times higher than that of the 3D-PSB model, respectively. These findings imply that low-cost 3D-PSB models could revolutionize skull anatomical education by incorporating digital technologies like the QR system into the anatomical teaching repertoire.

Abstract
AIM We examined the effectiveness of a video-enhanced education package in improving caregiver outcomes (number of steps at first feeding attempt, time to achieve competency and knowledge) compared to the current institutional training approach. DESIGN Quasi-experiment. METHODS From August 2016-June 2017, we recruited 112 caregivers in a Singaporean tertiary hospital. We allocated 72 and 40 caregivers to video-enhanced and standard education, respectively. Median values are reported with interquartile ranges (IQR), and analysed using Mann-Whitney U test. RESULTS Caregivers taught with our video-enhanced package performed a median of 7.0 (IQR = 3.5-7.5) out of eight steps correctly at their first attempt, a 40% increase. There was no change in the median number of training sessions but the 75th percentile dropped to 9.3 from 6.0, a 35% reduction. Post-training knowledge improved from a median of 0.5 (IQR = 0-2.0) to 1.0 (IQR = 0-3.0). The video-enhanced package can improve caregivers' knowledge and accelerate their skill competency.

Abstract
BACKGROUND We conducted a feasibility study of an anaesthetic online educational tool that is accessed via quick reference (QR) codes. The primary objective of the study was to assess the feasibility of an online educational tool for providing satisfactory teaching to patients presenting for surgery and assess if using QR codes are a viable method for directing patients to the information. The secondary objective was to obtain feedback from anaesthesiologists. METHODS The educational tool was developed and hosted on a password-protected website. The educational material on the website focused on anaesthesia-related processes that the patient should expect to experience in the hospital as well as fasting information. A survey was embedded into the website to obtain patient feedback. The website was redesigned following patient and staff feedback. RESULTS Ninety-three patients accessed the online education tool. Of the 73 responses to the survey, 81% of patients reported that the tool improved their knowledge and understanding about anaesthesia. 73% of patients expressed a preference for, or were neutral regarding using online patient education. 36% of patients were familiar with QR codes and 28% were frequent users of QR codes. Most anaesthesiologists expressed satisfaction with the tool being used by their patients following the redesign process (93.1%, 89.6% and 89.6% for general anaesthesia, neuraxial anaesthesia and regional anaesthesia, respectively). CONCLUSIONS This feasibility study demonstrated that an online anaesthetic educational tool has utility in promoting patient education about the anaesthetic experience and was well received by both patients and anaesthesiologists. QR codes are not feasible as the sole method for linking our patient population to an online education resource.

Abstract
Objective: The use of Quick Response (QR) codes has the potential to overcome some of the healthcare challenges we currently face, especially those presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of this research was to evaluate the use of QR codes poster in delivering patient information effectively in a Urology Outpatient department. Methods: A national online survey of Urologists was distributed, and leaflet costs were estimated. QR codes for the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) patient information leaflets were incorporated into a poster for the Urology Outpatient department. Feedback on the poster was sought from patients. Results: Overall, 108 Urologists responded to the initial survey; 44% were consultants. However, 54% provided > 50% of patients with an information leaflet during face-to-face clinics prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, decreasing to 33% during COVID-19. Using departmental outgoings, a cost of £3120 was calculated for printed leaflets per year normally. Rise in telephone clinics during the pandemic meant 47% of patients were provided an Internet link or asked to use Google in the clinical letter, up from 17% prior to the pandemic. In response to the QR codes poster, in a patient population, mostly male (82%) and older people(60% between 60 and 80 years of age), 40% were familiar with QR codes, 73% could access Internet and 53% used it to find information, 46% found the poster easy to use or follow and 61% found it informative. Conclusion: QR codes offer benefits, including capability for touch-free access, cost-effectiveness, potential to increase engagement and understanding, enable user-initiated learning and improve adherence. Patient perception varies with age group and smartphone access and usage. Level of Evidence: 4

Abstract
Patients’ anxiety and unfamiliarity are barriers to undergoing diagnostic procedures. Studies found educational videos more effective than other forms of information. Educational videos minimise anxiety and improve patient satisfaction. Educational videos enable medical procedures best practices.
Although diagnostic procedures are crucial for secondary prevention and patient disease control, they often trigger fear and anxiety. These reactions highlight the need to adopt effective interventions to improve patients’ experience and satisfaction. Recently, educational videos have been employed in preparing diagnostic procedures; however, there is no integrated understanding of their effects. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to assess the effectiveness of educational videos on patients’ anxiety and satisfaction regarding preparation for diagnostic procedures. Three scientific databases (PubMed; Web of Science, Scopus), were used in this systematic review. Studies about educational videos as a form of preparation for patients undergoing diagnostic procedures published between 2000 and 2021 were included. A meta-analysis was also conducted. Sixteen studies met the inclusion criteria for systematic review, and seven were included in the meta-analysis. Nine studies of the total sample were about vascular procedures and seven studies about other medical image procedures. Of the fourteen studies that evaluated the use of educational videos on patients’ anxiety, nine proved to reduce it significantly. Of the thirteen studies that evaluated satisfaction, seven showed a significant increase in the experimental group. Studies included in the meta-analysis show that educational video patient groups had lower anxiety levels than the control groups after the procedure. Although future studies are required, the results suggest that educational videos effectively prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, improving care quality.

Abstract
Objective: To sort out the research focuses in the field of e-health literacy, analyze its research topics and development trends, and provide a reference for relevant research in this field in the future. Methods: The literature search yielded a total of 431 articles retrieved from the core dataset of Web of Science using the keywords “ehealth literacy”, “E-health literacy” and “electronic health literacy”. A bibliometric analysis was performed by using CiteSpace to explore the development history, hot themes, and trends of future research in the field of e-health literacy. Results: The thematic evolution path in e-health literacy was divided into three stages. The research focuses were inspected from four aspects: evaluation, correlation with health-promotion behaviors, influencing factors, and intervention measures for improvement. Conclusion: E-health literacy research faces challenges such as the development of the connotation of the term, the objectivity of evaluation methods, and the long-term impact of interventions. Future research themes in e-health literacy will include the standardization of evaluation instruments and the individualization of therapeutic strategies.
