Abstract
Two octa-coordinated lanthanum (III) complexes of deprotonated azaphosphor β-diketon and diimine ligands, [LnL3Q] (L = [Cl2CHC(O)NP(O)(NC6H12)2], Q = Phen (C1) and Bipy (C2)), were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, and NMR spectra. X-ray crystallography revealed a distorted tetragonal antiprism LaO6N2 coordination geometry around the lanthanum atom in both compounds. Nano-sized complexes (Ć1 and Ć2) were synthesized via a sonochemical process and analyzed using SEM and XRPD. TGA-DTA analysis were performed on complexes in both bulk and nano scales. Redox behavior was also examined by cyclic voltammetry. The interaction between the complexes and calf thymus DNA (ct-DNA) was investigated using UV-Vis spectroscopy, fluorescence titration, viscosity measurements, and gel electrophoresis. C2 and Ć2 likely intercalate between DNA base pairs through van der Waals forces and hydrogen bonding, whereas C1 and Ć1 interact with DNA via groove binding. Further, result indicated the apparent association constant (Kapp) in the range of 4.53 × 104 M-1-26.86 × 104 M-1 with the highest value for nanocomplex Ć2. Fluorescence studies revealed dynamic and static quenching for C1, while the other compounds followed a static quenching process. Hirshfeld surface analysis and the NCI method were employed to demonstrate how non-covalent interactions influence the crystal packing through intermolecular interactions.

Abstract
The palladium-based complexes bearing N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligand have long attracted attention as active catalysts for many catalytic reactions. Recently, the biological activities of these complexes, which are stable to air and moisture, have also been wondered. With the aim, we report the synthesis of a series of (NHC)Pd(Br2)(L) complexes (NHC: 1,3-dibenzylbenzimidazolium, L: morpholine, triphenylphosphine, pyridine, 3-chloropyridine, and 2-aminopyridine). All complexes were characterized by NMR (1H and 13C), FTIR spectroscopic and elemental analysis techniques. In addition, the single crystal structures of the complex 3, 4, and 6 were determined through single crystal x-ray crystallographic method. Furthermore, the carbonic anhydrase I and II isoenzymes (hCAs) and acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibition effects of these palladium-based complexes bearing NHC ligand were investigated. They showed highly potent inhibition effect with Ki values are between 10.06 ± 1.49-68.56 ± 11.53 nM for hCA I isoenzyme, 7.74 ± 0.66 to 49.39 ± 6.50 nM for hCA II isoenzyme and 22.83 ± 3.21 to 64.09 ± 9.05 nM for AChE enzyme.

Abstract
A new film material capable of transforming UV radiation into visible light was obtained from a highly anisometric EuIII complex with organic ligands in a polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) matrix and then structurally characterized. An important advantage of the synthesized complex is its good solubility in organic solvents such as dichloromethane, chloroform, THF, toluene, etc. The ligand environment (flexible alkyl and cyclohexyl substituents) of the EuIII complex was selected to prevent crystallization, to inhibit the formation of defects in the structure of films and to provide its uniform distribution in the polymer during polymerization. As a result we obtain an EuIII complex of the film with remarkable thermal behavior: the complex melts to isotropic liquid without decomposition, it supercools at ambient temperature and it forms a stable amorphous material at low (up to -30°C) temperatures. The films were prepared by two methods: bulk polymerization and spin coating. A comparison of the differences of luminescent and optical characteristics of micro- and nanosized PMMA films doped with the anisometric EuIII complex is given. Based on X-ray powder diffraction and small-angle scattering data, it has been supposed that the association of EuIII complex molecules occurs in the voids of the PMMA matrix and is accompanied by the formation of a nanocrystalline phase. For films obtained by spin coating, a deeper microphase separation is demonstrated than by bulk polymerization. The dimensional characteristics of the nano-associates were determined and a correlation between the method of preparation and the type of distribution of the EuIII complex in the PMMA matrix is established.

Abstract
In this study, the synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of new phosphoramides based on 3-amino-5-methylisoxazole with the formula R2P(O)[NH-C4H4NO], R = C6H5O (1), C6H5 (2), RP(O)[NH-C4H4NO]2, R = C6H5O (3), CH3-C6H4O (4), C6H5NH (5), (C6H5)ClP(O)[NH-C4H4NO] (6) and two lanthanide complexes [Ln(2)2(NO3)3(EtOH)]·EtOH, Ln(III) = Ce (7) and Eu (8), have been reported. The structural study of (3) shows the presence of two conformers (crystallographically independent molecules) in the crystalline lattice, caused by different orientations of the phenyl and isoxazole rings. For (3), the intermolecular interactions have been studied by Hirshfeld surface analysis and fingerprint plots. Furthermore, the electronic and energy aspects of hydrogen bonds between molecules of (3) have been explored by density functional theory (DFT) calculations. X-ray crystallography of complexes (7) and (8) reveals that two phosphoramide ligands take part in coordination to the metal, one as monodentate from O(phosphoryl), and the other one as chelate through O(phosphoryl) and N(ring). The complexes are also composed of two conformers in the solid-state structure. Quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM) analysis discloses the electrostatic nature of the Ln-ligand interaction.

Abstract
AbstractFive new ammonium phosphinates with formula [XC6H4NHC(O)NHP(O)YO]−[H2Y]+ (Y = N(CH3)(CH2C6H5), X = H (IV), CH3 (V), NO2 (VI); Y = NH(CH2C6H5), X = H (VII), NO2 (VIII)) were synthesised by the reaction of N-arylureidophoshoryl dichlorides with N-methylbenzylamine or benzylamine in the presence of an excess amount of the corresponding amine. All new compounds were characterised by NMR and IR spectral data and elemental analysis. Their antimicrobial activity was tested against some Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and fungi. Compounds IV and VIII exhibited moderate activity in vitro against Bacillus subtilis. In addition, compound VIII moderately inhibited Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The crystal structure of benzylmethylammonium(3-phenylureido)(benzylmethylamino)phosphinate (IV) was also determined. This compound crystallises in the orthorhombic system.
