Abstract
This case report of a 45-year-old patient at initial presentation shows an illustration of the limitations of periodontal maintenance therapy and subsequent implant prosthetic therapy. In close consultation with the patient, treatment strategies were adopted to maximize the preservation of prognostically questionable teeth. Eight years later, the patient had a highly atrophied maxilla that could be successfully restored with implants. This was achieved with 2 zygoma implants and 2 anterior conventional implants, which were immediately loaded according to the All-on-4 concept and immediately provided with a definitive prosthetic restoration. The case report demonstrates to the general practitioner that using zygoma implants in such constellations may offer a solution to achieve a fixed, rapid, and financially acceptable prosthetic rehabilitation.

Abstract
This case report describes a dual full-arch rehabilitation focusing on a modified buccal incision for installation of four implants for full-arch rehabilitation of an edentulous maxilla. A modified buccal incision was performed in the subcrestal buccal region to promote direct access to the periosteum without incising the muscles in the region. For the installation of anterior implants, an 8.5 mm implant was locked in the cortical bone of the alveolar ridge and in the cortical bone of the floor of the pyriform cavity. The drilling point of the posterior implants was defined using the anterior implants as a visual reference, and the entry point could be visually estimated from the topography of the palatal surface of the maxilla. After bone leveling, the drilling enlargement sequence was carried out using drills that allowed the installation of long implants (18 mm). Straight mini-abutments were installed in the anterior implants and angled at 30º in the posterior implants. The flap was then perforated in the exact region where the mini-abutments were located. The buccal incision line was sutured with continuous 5-0 nylon suture. On the following day, aesthetic tests were carried out with teeth mounting. The patient presented minimal edema, and the lip motricity and smile width were completely preserved. The prosthesis was delivered five days after surgery. The suture was removed, and the prosthesis was installed while maintaining compression on the gingival tissue. The patient reported no pain during the prosthesis installation. The modified buccal flap enables implant placement for full-arch rehabilitation of an edentulous maxilla.

Abstract
Dental patient-reported outcomes (dPROs) are self-reported descriptions of a patient's oral health status that are not modified or interpreted by a healthcare professional. Dental patient-reported outcome measures (dPROMs) are objective or subjective measurements used to assess dPROs. In oral healthcare settings, the emphasis on assessing treatment outcomes from the patient's perspective has increased and this is particularly important after traumatic dental injuries (TDIs), as this group of injuries represent the fifth most prevalent disease or condition worldwide. The purpose of this review is to summarize the current use of dPROs and dPROMs in the field of dental traumatology. Oral Health-Related Quality of Life, pain, swelling, aesthetics, function, adverse effects, patient satisfaction, number of clinical visits and trauma-related dental anxiety are the key dPROs following TDIs. Clinicians and researchers should consider the well-being of patients as their top priority and conduct routine evaluations of dPROs using measures that are appropriate, accurate and reflect what is important to the patient. After a TDI, dPROs can assist clinicians and patients to choose the best management option(s) for each individual patient and potentially improve the methodology, design and relevance of clinical studies.

Abstract
Background To evaluate and compare the clinical outcomes of digitally prefabricated and conventionally fabricated implant-supported full-arch provisional prostheses. Methods In this retrospective study, a total of 39 patients (22 males and 17 females) who underwent implant-supported full-arch rehabilitation using the All-on-4 concept with an immediate loading protocol were included: 20 patients treated with digitally prefabricated provisional prostheses were assigned into Group A, and 19 patients treated with conventionally fabricated provisional prostheses were assigned into Group B. Implant/provisional prosthesis survival rates and complications were reviewed. Marginal bone loss (MBL) was investigated by CBCT. Surgical time, restorative time, and total operative time were analyzed. Postoperative pain and swelling were evaluated with the visual analog scale (VAS). The oral health impact profile (OHIP) questionnaire was administered before and after surgery. Results The implant/provisional prosthesis survival rate was 100%, and complications appeared with low frequency in both groups, while the mean MBL was 0.30 ± 0.29 mm in Group A and 0.31 ± 0.41 mm in Group B after 3~ 6 months (P > 0.05). The average restorative time in Group A (116.16 ± 16.61 min) was significantly shorter than that in Group B (242.11 ± 30.14 min) (P < 0.05). Patients in Group A showed lower pain/swelling VAS scores after surgery than Group B (P < 0.05). Low OHIP scores with high satisfaction with the overall effects were shown in both groups. Conclusion Prefabricated prostheses reduced the prosthetic time and postoperative discomfort in patients whose immediate rehabilitation was based on the All-on-4 concept. This prefabrication technology may be a predictable alternative to improve the short-term clinical outcome of implant-supported full-arch provisional rehabilitation.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES We aimed to evaluate the patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) of dental implant surgeries and analyse the associated indicators. DESIGN A cross-sectional study design was used. SETTING Department of Oral Implantology, Hospital of Stomatology, Wuhan University (May 2020-April 2021). PARTICIPANTS Participants with missing teeth in need of implant-supported rehabilitation. INTERVENTIONS Dental implant placement and/or bone augmentation procedures. PRIMARY AND SECONDARY OUTCOME MEASURES The primary outcome was discomfort on postoperative day 1, measured using a numerical rating scale (NRS). Secondary outcomes included pain and anxiety during surgery; discomfort on postoperative days 3, 7 and 14; and post-surgical complications. RESULTS A total of 366 participants were included, of which 288 (78.7%) and 328 (89.7%) reported no to mild pain and anxiety (NRS 0-3) during surgery, respectively. The proportion of patients reporting discomfort decreased from postoperative day 1 (57.7%) to day 3 (36.1%) and day 7 (17.5%). The most frequent postoperative adverse events were pain and swelling. Patient-related factors (age, sex, smoking, alcohol consumption, history of periodontitis, and pain and anxiety during surgery) and surgery-related factors (type and extent of surgical procedure) were analysed. The factors associated with the severity of discomfort after surgery included alcohol consumption, pain perception during surgery, bone augmentation procedures and age (p<0.05). Similarly, the factors associated with the duration of discomfort included alcohol consumption, pain perception during surgery and age (p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS PROMs related to dental implant surgeries can be predicted using certain risk indicators. Alcohol consumption, pain during surgery and age were associated with discomfort following dental implant surgery.

Abstract
The recent literature on maxillary implant overdenture (IOD) was reviewed in order to clarify its predictability and establish treatment guidelines. Electronic searches were performed using PubMed, and articles about maxillary IOD written after 1990 were reviewed, focusing on the following items: I. implant survival rate, II. maxillary IOD survival rate, III. number of implants, IV. attachment type, V. follow-up period, VI. implant system, and VII. opposing dentition. The review revealed an implant survival rate of 61-100% and an overdenture survival rate of 72.4-100%. The attachments used included bars, balls, locators, and telescope crowns. The minimum and maximum observation periods were 12 months and 120 months, respectively, and the number of implants used for supporting IOD ranged from 2 to 8. At present, there is no strong evidence to indicate that maxillary IOD is clearly superior for all the items examined. However, the existing data indicate that maxillary IOD has almost the same therapeutic effect as fixed implant superstructures, and is a treatment option that can be actively adopted for patients in whom fixed superstructures cannot be applied for various reasons.
